Happy Birthday Kensie! (Bayou County Power Saws)
Carburettor gaskets the wrong way around 😂😂😂
What could happen if I went one size up to .007 on the intake gap
It would work fine and would not cause damage. You definitely don't want to use less than 0.006" or you could hang open a valve which would cause lose of performance and possibly damage.
Hi, I was wondering if you had email address you could provide me with as I have a couple questions to ask you regarding Johns Custom Saws. I was recently scammed and I just want to know what I actually got myself into.
@@KevinMartinez-h4s I'm sorry but I'm not willing to put my email out to the public. Did you mail him a saw or were you attempting to buy a saw that was modified by him? Which account did you contact, UA-cam or his Facebook account? I can tell you with a high level of certainty that a scammer has possession of his facebook page and continues to take money from people. So if you sent him money on the promise of getting a modified saw then you don't have many options of getting your money back. If you mailed him a saw or sent him a check then you can call his local police a file a report of mail fraud and theft.
Nice🪓🧡👊🏼🔥
@@jeremywever6947 thanks buddy
I gotta get another 285.
They are good saws.
pretty wild watching that one just split wide open on ya
nice.... will do this... intake 0.15mm outtake 0.20mm thanks for the video long live the XR650R
Grand merci a toi mon ami tu est le seul qui explique réellement bien comment trouvez le point mour pour ajuster les valves. Encore bravos et merci a toi. 💯👌
Nice stuff buba , were ya choppin at ?
Thanks! That's west of Rochester NY, up near Lake Ontario. That woods should of been cut a lot sooner. Lots of big red oaks. I might have enough for one more short video from that job.
Ah just north of me my cuz lives up around Naples/ Canandaigua alittle south of ya
Looks pretty sloppy or should i marshy 😂😂😂😂 ah i just cant hep mysef !!! Good vid kid !
Good one👍🏻 #eastcoast
We took 7000 bdft out of the woods that day from 14 trees. Not a bad jag.
Cool beans Marshy! Couple of shrapnelacular moments in there eh ? Tree tried to grenade you back lol, scarier than a snappy turtle 😂👍
That one was bursting with excitement lol. Hope you're well Mikey
Love the 4-71 in the Timberjack!🔥🧡👍🏻👊🏼
Screaming Jimmy! I'm bringing him ear plugs because he wasn't wearing any. Crazy.
Hi Marshy! It's been a while. Good to see you.
Good to hear from you. I'm in my slow season, just thought I'd grab some material out in the woods. Smashed up one tree unfortunately but that's the way it goes some times. Hope the Wever family is good.
We're doing pretty good, however I'm going to be down for a while, getting a knee replaced ,Tuesday. @@Woodman_Custom_Sawing

A litte rot in that red oak .
You rock thank you so much this helped so much
Like them jonsered saws🤙🏻😎
Just watched nuts329 running the saw you built..nice work..subscribed🤙🏻😎
Nice job I see that it split like it had a void inside👍
The two main branches were very large and had included bark at their union. I might try to salvage some slabs from it or it might just end up as firewood.

😊👋👍 that saw seems tweaked?
It's a mild build. One I make for Nuts319. Go check him out.

Hi Wango family, hope you all are good.
Is the engine warm or cold for these clearance figures?
Cold engine for setting valves.
I'd love to buy this saw lol, got a 298xp I'm refurbishing to hopefully near new quality but your in prestine it looks like!
Thanks! It's a very fun saw to run. I got lucky when I bought it. I even stumbled into a large parts lot and bought everything out I could.
@@Woodman_Custom_Sawing heck if you still got some stuff for the 298xp you aren't using I need a few things and mine will be right there too, and right on! I came across mine the next town over from me so I had to pick it up !
@@shaynelevins1326 sorry man, I'm not willing to sell. I have too many builders. The parts are spoken for those builds.
@@Woodman_Custom_Sawing not a problem, I appreciate the response man and hopefully the builds turn out wonders!
@@shaynelevins1326 I have a video with the 298 is action. I cut a large pine with it.
Good video watched this and ordered one myself for my newly acquired one owner xr650r
Great video! This is the only video that showed where to put the feeler gauge. Do you torque everything down to spec?
Also, if you adjust the intake side, should you also adjust the exhaust side? Or can you do one without the other
@@jaketester9555 thanks Jake. I use the torque specs from the Honda manual and Inalways do both the intake and exhaust since I'm already there.
【from HIPA】are you interested in testing my carb for 372xp ?Thanks.
What accumulator probe is for the top 1 or 2?
John, I dont understand your question. Can you reference the point in the video where I'm describing it?
Sorry for the confusion. There are 2 sensors for the accumulator, sensor 1, sensor 2 I’m wondering if sensor 1 goes on the top of the accumulator tank or sensor 2. Or does it matter. Second, on electrical connections it had 240VAC, 60 hertz, 4 wire power supply is required. On the interface panel there are only 3 wires, white black, and green for a standard 120v hookup. Is the 240v for EU hookup?
Does the boiler run on 120 or 240?
They are so great saws! I have a Husqvarna 285 CD and I haven't used that chainsaw in seven years at all. Now it doesn't lubricate the chain..Do I need to clean or replace OIL LINE HOSE AND PICKUP filter ?? To replace the oil hose do I have to remove only the exhaust ??
The first think worth trying is dumping out the oil, then add about 8oz of diesel and swish it around really well and drain. I'd repeat one more time and even start the saw and try to get it to pump through the oil pump. Run it with no bar and see if anything comes through. If not, I'd drain the tank then disassemble the oil pump. I cant recall how the oil pump is driven but check to see if that drive is broken. I'd plan on pulling the oil pump and soaking it in some diesel to loosen things up. There is a hose behind the muffler.
I bought myself the same saw without guide bar and chain for only $ 70 in very good condition...On my saw fuel leaks under the cap. Are there any parts for this saw they fit from Husqvarna 65? From which Husqvarna model fits the spare parts?
Fuel and oil caps might interchange with the L65 but I'm not certain. The 285cd, 1100cd, 2100cd, 2101xp and 298xp are the most similar and have many parts that interchange. The 480cd, 380cd share only a few parts. The L65 is the generation prior to all of these and I dont have much knowledge about what will interchange. I do know the L65 top end is the same as the 380 and 480cd models. Good luck.
As I’m rebuilding a 385cd at the moment I can tell you this, some of the parts are still available but used on different machines, the seals for instance are used on husky disc cutters. Find the part number and search for that instead of “285cd parts”
Nice to see your work up on video. Kinda looked a little West Coast style. Happy New Year!
Just watched your video on the solo 667 great learned a lot. Can you let me know we're I can get a coil for the 667 I live in Manchester England and would be grateful for any help Thanks beforehand
They are hard to find parts for. I found one from a web site that tells chainsaw parts but cant recall what the site was. Sorry I cant be much more help.
👍H 288 the best.
Good looking cuts there buddy, and the saw sounds excellent. Seems to have plenty of power to spare, the owner will definitely be happy.
Thank you!
Good job👍🏻

Not bad for an x-torque eh? Hope you and family are well.
@@Woodman_Custom_Sawing hey man, my xtorq saws run great, especially the ported one. Nice work.
You Still like it?
Yes, very much so. It's so easy to use. If I could do it over again I would only change one thing. One of my check valves clatters because of where I installed it in the system lol. I knew better but didn't modify my layout and not it drives me nuts, just a faint clatter. To fix it I would have to drain part of the system and move it so there is a straight runnof pipe before and after it... it's still working as good as the day I installed it. Currently burning 1 load a day in it with highs in the mid to upper 30's.
