@@andreadiquirico9358 I have normal man's hands (not too small and not too big), and I like that fact, that volume knob is always within reach without additional hand movement. And I use this knob alot: beginings and endings of songs or it's parts, pauses, fade in effects and even gain regulation. It will be very difficult, if knob will be far from it's classic place. And I never hit it! I just don't understand, what I need to do to hit the knob)))
@@VladislavKhemy because you pick not too much on the right near the bridge pickup. I saw one of you videos. Nothing to say about it, but me and many other people have a different impostation....the kind of J.P. and Loomis. we search for the right tension to pick easily, in short terms.
As a prestige owner, I've played new Premium stuff and it definitely feels like it's like the old Fender Japan Vs USA factory 'war'. It doesn't feel like Ibanez are limiting quality on the cheaper guitars if they ever did. The country of manufacture is having less and less significance, year on year.

The only thing that'll always bother are those dot inlays! After a certain price point, they shouldn't be allowed anymore. Keep' em for your low/mid range lineup!
YES! I would like to see a single star (standard 5 point) inlay on the frets. Not too large - all the same size. Maybe all offset toward the top E string, leaving only the octave centered? Other ideas anyone?

Offset mini dots are so Ibanez to me...if you must do dots, they're the ones. These dots smack of budget, cost-cutting Fender.
(Which is fine where they belong. I bought a new Fender just last year.)

Hey Ibanez, I am always a big fan of your instruments. PLEASE make the Prestige RGs more colourful, like adding a satin poplar burl burst top or something. No offense, but the current Prestige line is looking a bit dull, so if you put some more quilt or flamed maple top or poplar burl, it can liven up the guitars BY A LOT. Thanks.

I really wish Ibanez would offer some of these premium finishes on their prestige line. Seems almost counterintuitive for them to leave their flagship line so plain jane while putting some of these incredible premiums out.
I still have my 1989 RG 550 in emerald green. Actually looks blue....but whatever. The thin eastern hardrock maple neck with jumbo frets and Ibanez Edge trem is amazing. Edge to me is more efficient than a Floyd. It just feels better
Will we finally see a true baritone scale 7 string make a proper comeback (that is more suitable to guitarists on a budget)?
Maybe try fanned fret with a slightly higher string gauge?

@@thom9106 I dislike the ibanez 4+3 headstock on the multiscales. If they bought out a multi multiscale 7 with the inline headstock I'd be all over it

Similar specs to my RGAIX6FM but the frets and 11pc neck (RG body of course) are different. I really dig that glossy finish on the 1121.

Beautiful looking. Nice frets. Nice Trem. But what the hell were they thinking putting those twangy telecaster pickups on it? V8 and V7 would have killed it.
Make a 25”, 24 3/4” or 22.5” scale RG for us little handed dudes and dudettes. The features change little by little, but they’re all just ultra wide necked guitars with the same string tension at the end of the day.

I have a J Custom RG8520, and from that point of view this one looks really good.. But i would add several changes:
1) Will make glossy edition - yes it will look better than mate.
2) Change pickups to Fishman Fluence Pickups, will get minimalist design. (this pickups are also good, but look old for a modern guitar)
3) Increase quality and playability level to Prestige. Japan built only.
4) Add 2 colors - Marble Purple and Orange-Yellow combination. With glossy design it will look perfect.
I would like to take this one, but do not want to downgrade playability from J Custom.

It's a copper alloy. Harder than standard nickel/silver but not as hard as stainless.
They're nice, I put them on my kiesel
I've heard that luthiers don't like to work on stainless since it wears down their files so costs more for fret jobs, but evo gold is a good middle ground for fret life and workability
