I love the earrings! I know you made this video in September, but I am new to how UA-cam works! I would only watch UA-cam videos through Google searches......But a little over month ago I decided to join UA-cam, and figure out how to maximize my viewing opportunities and not miss out on becoming a part of the growing jewelry making world! So, when I have time, I sit and watch as many of your videos I can! You are such an awesome teacher! You inspire me every time I watch a video! Thank you, Gina!
These are great. I make memory wire bracelets all the time, never thought of earrings, though. Great job! I like your way of explanation, too. Very calm, not too much extraneous information. Thanks.
I like the way you think. You have wonderful ideas. I have made earrings from memory wire, but to use the looper? I thought the wire was too hard, but look at that. Thank you.
Never thought to use memory wire for earrings, but I'm definitely trying this! Love the wrapped detail at the top! And, the labradorite/amethyst heart at the beginning was a sweet way to start your video. :) Labradorite is my all-time favorite. Thanks, Gina!!
Really cute earrings, amethyst is one of my favorite stones. I suppose I should order some memory wire. In all the years I’ve been beading I’ve never used memory wire, I’m not sure why that is but you’ve inspired me to give it a go. I also love the bracelet you made in another video. Thanks Gina. 💞💫
I just saw this Gina, interesting. I’ve been following videos and making these and first time I saw the one step looper used on mem wire. I will for sure try tomorrow. Thanks.
I have a similar looper to the one you’ve shown & it’s another Must have, this one cuts the wire I love mine and am SO glad I bought it, I find that it doesn’t quite do a perfectly closed loop, but I splurged out on the Xuron 4 in 1 crimper pliers and using that to finish the loop off carefully, even actually using the crimping section, very carefully mind you, but it gives perfectly sealed loops. Thank you for your time in making this video, I’m looking for different bits of inspiration and this video fit the bill ! Cheers from NZ 👍🙂🇳🇿🥝
From the tool maker: "The One Step Looper Tool cuts and loops a wire or head pin in one motion! The One Step Bead Looper allows you to create & trim eye pins simply. It works well on wire or you can use them with head pins or eye pins. The One Step Looper Tool works with dead-soft or half-hard wire. You can use precious metal wire or craft wire, as well as gold or silver filled wire, copper wire, or brass wire and stainless wire. Suggested wire sizes range from 18 gauge to 26 gauge wire. Memory wire can damage this tool so be careful with that. The One Step Looper Pliers takes the worry about making consistent loops! The loops it forms measure 1.4 mm in diameter. The One Step Looper allows you to customize the length of your eye pins."
I have made many memory wire earrings some had different length of chains stone , charms , ect... alone with bracelet 2 match my sisters was take them I MADE oval and kept them in a circle
Thanks so much for watching, Karina! You could totally make that style and wrap in a different way, or just loop the tops and join them together differently. I understand!
Great tutorial! Thanks so much for sharing your talents, tips and resources with us! ONE CAUTION: One-step Looping Pliers should NOT be used on MEMORY WIRE! Thanks so much for your informative comment! I have learned so much since I made that video a while back, and always appreciate the knowledge of the community here! 💜💜💜
Great design, thanks for the tut! And those labradorite beads are gorgeous! When I first got into gemstones, I bought some labradorite that I *thought* was good quality, but the beads didn't have nearly the colour flash that these ones do, wow
Thanks so much for that feedback!! I have shied away from it in the past because I know it can be pricey. I am so glad these stones are so flashy, and they really do show up true to life on camera. I really appreciate you watching, and commenting, and so glad you enjoyed the tutorial! :)
Very nice earrings. Why dont you invent a cover for that final wrap, you called it a messy wrap. The look detracts from the beautiful earrings you made. Good luck with everything and God bless you and your family.
Thanks, Patricia! That's all personal preference, so if that's what you'd prefer you can certainly go for it. The messy wrap was intentional in this case, but everyone should do what speaks to them. Glad you enjoyed the tutorial!
@@ORCHIDandOPAL I do soo apologize, did not realize it was an intentional messy wrap. I thank you for the response, and want to let you know I do learn quite a bit from your tutorials. Again may God bless you and yours.
No worries at all, Patricia! I am so glad you enjoy my videos - I am so happy to have you here! Hope you have a great day! Thank you for your kind words.
Why spend the exorbitant price for memory wire cutters when you can go to your local Hardware Store and get a pair of heavy duty wire cutters for half the price, and they actually work better on the memory wire. JMHO
I would have never thought about using my looper!!! You're sharp

Super Cute earrings, I never used my looper tool for memory wire cool I thought it would be to tough but that's a great ideal
Thanks, Nikki! I love using the looper tool with memory wire. It's SO easy! :)

I hope I don’t sound presumptuous...but it would be so much easier to tuck in the wire with needle nose pliers ❤️❤️
Love the earrings! 💁
Glad you love the earrings! Those were the most tapered pair I had within reach, but I'm sure it would. 😄
I have made many memory wire earrings some had different length of chains stone , charms , ect... alone with bracelet 2 match my sisters was take them I MADE oval and kept them in a circle
I have been meaning to play around with memory wire earrings, so this was a great opportunity! I appreciate you watching!!
I like them. Thanks for the video!
Another cool tutorial...thank-you. xox
You're very welcome, Amanda!! Thanks for watching! :)
I purchased wire cutters from Harbor Freight for $2.00, less expensive than the memory wire cutters and just as durable. Love the tutorial.
Awesome! That's a great idea. Thanks for sharing!
very pretty earrings , I think I will make a pair , but not sure about the messy wrap , have never been a fan of it . will see.....lol
Thanks so much for watching, Karina! You could totally make that style and wrap in a different way, or just loop the tops and join them together differently. I understand!
can you show us how to make memory wire rings?
Hi Brenda! I will take that suggestion into consideration for the future! Thanks for watching!
How can you finish the earrings with out wrapping I do not care for wrapping.
You can try adding bead caps or cones over the top to cover the wire wrap
Cute 👍
I am glad you like them! 💜

Ok... prices on gem beads sound reasonable. (So far the best). I like the earrings. Hmmmm.
You can get inexpensive heavy duty wire cutters at a hardware store.
Thanks, Marie!

You certainly could! Great tip. Thanks for watching!
yes that is exactly what I did and it cost me 2 dollars!
