Twisted Metal would make for a great next gen game or even movie/series. The story is basically Mortal Kombat but instead of squads uniting like avengers to save the earth realm every character is cuttthroat because they have their own agendas to keep, which seems more dark and compelling imo.
I was on onboard with the idea till you said mix with overwatch. I don't think car movement would work with a class based shooter, it would be too difficult to get into position with only 4 direction movement.
