I have the system on my Z900. I have the large bag and the top box. Easy to swap between the 2. When I bought mine, I was missing a part. So I called the manufacturer, and they immediately dispatched the part via courier and I got it the next day. A quality product and after sales service is second to none.
The Ventura site specifically shows the rack being used both as a tail rack overhanging the rear, and reversed over the pillion seat, so I reckon you're good to go either way. The beauty of the system is it actually allows you FOUR positions, the two middle positions being a tail rack position that's still a little closer to the rear seat, or a pillion position a little further out, depending on how you orient the rack brackets.
A very nice review of a luggage system I wish I had discovered when I first purchased my '22 Indian FTR R Carbon. It has been a head banger trying to fit any kind of after-market tail bag or saddle bags to an asymmetrical platform with upswept exhausts, and still make it look neat. This is exactly what I was looking for, a rack that covered the pillion seat, keeping the load over the rear wheel. The only downside is now what to do with all the other bags I've finally got to fit $$$$ ...Thanks again
Nice vid! I like how the rack can be turned inwards if not carrying a pillion. From the points of both mass centralisation, and reduced leverage stress on the L-bars, that has to be a good thing, even if Ventura haven't recommended it's mounted that way.
Thanks very much, this video is exactly what I needed to find out about the luggage for my Aprilia Tuono 1100 Factory. Great video and content. 10/10 👍
I'd have thought the bag was more secure the way you fit it as you slide it off towards the front. Just checked: they don't do a system for my Yamaha SCR950.
Unfortunately these are no longer available, at least in the U.S. About 10 years ago, I ordered a a set (brackets, rack, and a pack) for a new bike. I absolutely loved it. A couple years ago I sold that bike, including the Ventura system. I recently bought a new bike that I would like to put this system on, so I went to their site, they have my bike listed, but it is no longer possible to order them.
Great video. I have a Royal Enfield interceptor same colour as yours. My is fairly stock next to yours, but love your mods. I have fitted the tec bike parts rack, which looks like I could fit the Ventura bags to. What are the width and length of the bars that slide into bag base and is there any elasticity it. Many thanks Steve 65
Nice. The bag should have a raincover (like sw-motech), a system to secure the back itself (locker) and the tube well.. More discreet maybe. Good review 👏
They sell them seperataly (I think they are called Storm Covers). Some way to lock it would be a great idea. I've seen people use those lockable meshes on similar systems.
Is the rear bracket integrated with the number plate holder? So, do you have to swap over the indicators and everything else or did you just take that off for ease?
If you are using the factory tail, you don’t need to touch the indicators or the tail. I had an EVO Tec tail tidy which needed to be replaced with a J-Tech for this system to work.
@@WildlifeMoto thanks for the reply. I also have the Evo Tech tail tidy. It seems a bit of a faff to change it over just for this which is a bit of a disappointment
@@WildlifeMoto do you think this system would work along side my R&G tail tidy on my 2021 ? Thing is i could just buy the kriega strap to lock my 30lt kriega bag on for 20 quid but hate the thought of paint rubb
Wow, EVO-40 was £177 in the video, now £239. Ouch. All the bits soon add up if looking at this new. See how it makes sense to just get new L-brackets for a new bike once you are invested in the solution already.

Beautiful machine and the Ventura system integrates better than expected. Great review and info! Ta mate!

I always have run the packs backwards, even the old systems that use the upright system.
Nice review, thank you. Ventura was always my ‘go to’ luggage system for my sports bike. Great quality and as you said excellent price.

Great review J , looks quality 👌
Seems more secure pointing the rack the wrong way if impossibly the bag securing clips let go, the bag can't slide off backwards.

Which site did you try? You can order in the US here: ventura-mca.com/
May I ask what is the width of the L bracket mounting points? I have an older Ventura rack/bag and need to see if it’ll fit.

Hi Steve. I’ll post the measurements up when I get a second. Cheers.
Looks neat & tidy 👍🏻
Any more coming on the Enfield / Indian all the best mark 🍺🇬🇧👍🏻
More on the way soon :)
Hi mate. Did you have to use a spacer for the non exhaust side to bolt the L bracket?
Nope, just the bits in the kit.

I just put my luggage in a plastic bag inside the Ventura bag, Stops having loose items/covers flapping in the wind
