Yeah, WayV and NCT 127 "shared" two songs, Regular and Come Back. Prepix Ill (Ten's mentor) who did the "readjusting" of the choreo for WayV afaik. he said he tried to make their individual style stands out. And it's interesting for see the difference for me, because I feel like 127's execution is more swaggy and sharp (just like you said), matching the style of their dance center, taeyong. meanwhile WayV is clean yet fluid with that fluid-sharp-fluid movements, just like Ten's style, their main dancer
wayv regular has suchh a good music video-- the editing and transitions are so cool. its iconic and they look expensive af. and i love the part where they expose the green screen

Watch their "Come back" cover which is a song by NCT. I personally think that they slayed it harder (mainly Ten) and the song slaps. The cover was also filmed the same day as regular since they wear the same outfits :)
@@EstherLee well yeah but they are "covering" the song since it follows the same melody, beat, rhythm and the choreos are pretty much similar except for formations here and there.
Now that you have heard the English and Mandarin version of "Regular" , you should also check out the Korean version (The MV is slightly different from the English version because the lyrics are different.) And once you have done that you should then look up the lyrics to all 3. If you look up the lyrics for the Korean and Mandarin versions and compare them to the English version you will see that even though it's the same beat and the same title, the lyrics are different for all 3 songs. (They also have performed a Japanese version in concert or on a program or something that I watched -- I can't remember exactly where I heard it) WayV's choreography is different because the whole song is about different things. That is what makes the song so interesting because they have so many different versions -- and even though they sound like they are the same song, each version is about different things and they have different messages. If you look up the lyrics for the Korean version you will discover that the lyrics for the English version of "Regular" is almost opposite of what they are talking about in the Korean version. That's why the album is called Regular Irregular. The English version is what I would describe as the cocky version of the song and it hits on the aesthetic of what appeals more to an American audience. The English version talks about being famous and having lots of money and still not being satisfied until they possess all the riches and fame. "Regular" is supposed to be NCT-127's U.S. debut so that is why they made an English version. However, the Korean version is what I would call the humble version of the song. The Korean lyrics talk about how they are constantly working hard and are never satisfied with the end result and how they hope to have the success that they always dream of, etc. -- which is what appeals more to a Korean audience. The Chinese version of the song also has different lyrics. The MV for WayV's version of "Regular" is about dominating in the technology realm and that is why you see them as stock traders in the stock market and at one point they are literally inside a computer, etc. It's all about dominating in the business world. "Regular" was technically WayV's debut song as well. You should really take the time to see what makes the 3 versions so different, besides the fact that they are in 3 different languages. :D It's really interesting to see how 3 songs can be created in 3 different languages using the same beat and feel, and yet have completely different messages. It just goes to show how diverse the music industry is and yet still so similar. :D Another reason why WayV's MV is so different from the Korean and English version is because they are the Chinese sub-unit and they can't have anything that might connect them to NCT or make it look like they might be working with their Korean company if they want to promote in China. Because of the political issues between Korea and China right now, they have to appear as if they are a Chinese group and are separate from anything to do with SM in order for the Chinese government to allow them to appear on Chinese programs, etc. and to promote themselves and their album in the country.
Hendery has a very distinct look for me so he was easy to learn but yeah, I struggled with telling YangYang and Xiaojun apart. Vocally YangYang is a rapper and Xiaojun is an omg heavenly vocalist, but it took watching the entire season of Dream Launch Plan before I could really tell their faces apart

I am a fan of both groups, though I lean more into WayV (thanks to my TEN tunnel vision), but personally there are some different moves from 127 version that I like in this version. Other than 1:13 that you already pointed out, we have 3:49 the moves are different from what JN/YT/TY/MK? did, 3:59 WayV moving in circle, 4:25, def 5:04 wow and notice the transition from KUN to HENDERY, also 5:39 OH MY GOOOOD TEN AND OF COURSE, THE KNEE AND THE KICK 7:06 the chore for the last chorus is absolutely beautiful, very WayV, despite it's the same song as 127, but WayV offers something different and something very them and manages to put that distinction which is very important IMO. WayV and 127 has no MV for Come Back (only dance choreo for WayV. none for 127), but I wonder if you gonna react to that song as well? In Come Back it's really clear that how many members dancing greatly impact the whole image of the choreo and I am curious of your opinion. Also I just want to make sure you see Ten's smirk in Come Back dance practice. He is a little Devil. Ugh. Thanks for the reaction! Sorry for a long comment haha

I definitely enjoy the WayV version more. This was their debut so you can tell that more went into their MV and they all just look so amazing. Song wise I prefer 127s because I heard that first and it got stuck in my head but both are amazing
"I'm so whipped" 😂 I think we're all pretty whipped for Lucas at this point. WayV might be my favorite subunit at this point and I think they're the hardest for me to pick a bias, they absolutely slay in this music video!

But at that point it doesn't even matter because I've listened to all three versions so often, I now sing 'Regular' in MandoKongLish
As much as I love NCT 127, it warms my heart to see someone say they prefer the WayV version! I'll agree to disagree on the styling comment - I think Takeoff has been my fave for that, though everything in this looks wonderfully luscious (not least Ten at the start there, hoo boy).
That theatre is actually the SM Artium theatre where they’ve been holding their Beyond Live concert at 😂😂😂 it actually is super futuristic because it employs AR technology and a surround screen with exactly those classic theatre seats, so that wasn’t CG!
I really love your reactions the fact that your a first timer to KPOP is so adorable and you give very reasonable comments and your reactions is sometimes priceless lol and we understand that good feels that you get. Man you are so legit for actually going to do some research and actually try to learn their names. Thank you for your reactions its awesome:)!!!!!!!!!
Even though I'm whipped for Ten, and boy does this video give me plenty of Ten, my favourite part is actually gorgeous WinWin breaking the diamond in his teeth. 😍
Please check out the Rainbow V videos which are the process behind the diff subunits in making the finshed project (You reacted to Lovely so in Rainbow V they show Ten and Winwin’s process)

Im guessing that you watched their video a lot esp the crackhead ones lmao anyway nice explanation as always! Looking forward for the SR15B reaction a.k.a predebut nct yay! OMG AS ALWAYS. NCT / WAYV CONTENT. :))))) I recommend you to watch also SR15B Dance Practices, all are short videos so you might want to check and react to them all at once. By the way, sr15b is what they (nct members) are called before as trainees. It shows how good they are at dancing even before debut.
I love how you got excited upon seeing Winwin being in both English and Chinese versions. Not to mention the Korean version. Lol. It's a delight to see someone derive excitement from that coz (not gonna lie) in the early days of WayV's debut, every time I saw Winwin, I couldn't shake the feeling of loss and betrayal. I know that sounds overly dramatic and irrational lol. All that time spent with the NCT 127 members just to be "tossed" like that. And it wasn't just him. Ten and Lucas too. But obvi, things worked out. I was happiest for Kun when WayV debuted. Finally, a unit he can call his. I dunno why I said all that. Hahahaha. Anyways, I'm very happy for all of them now. Though I suspect I wasn't the only one who felt like that before. Anyhooooo, when you mentioned you grew up in theater, I remembered Winwin's fan dance. Have you seen it? It's a very short clip, no need to do a reaction video. I only mention it because that performance of Winwin is just so, ahdunner....theatrical. Here's a link, hope you enjoy it. And as always, stay safe. Stay healthy. 🤓😷 ua-cam.com/video/LITd9bqFVwA/v-deo.html
I know Jeff will be busy with lots of other reactions but there's a group called OnlyOneOf with a song called Sage. The choreography itself is a masterpiece, let alone the song! I suggest checking out their dance practice (for anyone, but it'll be awesome if Jeff reacts to it haha)
you really need to check "falling down" by the8 from seventeen!!! it came out today! it's really beautiful and the dance seems to have a deep meaning. i would love to see your reaction!
Jeff you should really check out TOO rising sun performance It's a cover of the tvxq song "rising sun" they preformed it for a survival show for lesser known idol groups who already debuted TOO just debuted not too long ago and are participating in the show this week they did a performance for the song rising sun the choreography is very creative and vocals are high quality there's no fans practice just performance make sure to watch the one without reactions unless you wanna see other groups reactions TOO also have thier debut song "magnolia" I think you should check out their choreos are very creative and energetic you should really check them out Keep up the good work TOO FIGHTING!!!!
2:08 this made me think: can it be the ifluence of main dancers? Ten more into flued movements, Tae more sharp, both in good relationship with Prepix Ill, both like to create choreography
I knew you'd enjoy this version. As a Ten bias Lucas wrecker, please know this video took me tf out. I love how their dance style is a lot more fluid, and idk if this is just me but I think it mirrors the language - I think Chinese sounds like they move. As much as I love NCT 127, it warms my heart to see someone say they prefer the WayV version! I'll agree to disagree on the styling comment - I think Takeoff has been my fave for that, though everything in this looks wonderfully luscious (not least Ten at the start there, hoo boy).
Majority like WayV version more. And they are very emphatic about it.
That theatre is actually the SM Artium theatre where they’ve been holding their Beyond Live concert at 😂😂😂 it actually is super futuristic because it employs AR technology and a surround screen with exactly those classic theatre seats, so that wasn’t CG!
My ears still hurt from the way you went "OH" when Lucas popped up in that outfit 😅😂
Wayvs version of both the song & mv hits DIFFERENT for me😂, I squealed every second.
When the sound muted and Jeff's mouth still moving me imagining like songs still going and humming in my head
Tiffany Paulse thank you so much!! 😁😁
I love WayV's version a lot
3:25 when he said "winwin is in both videos!" I'm like yeahh....winwin has to remember his WayV version and NCT127 version. Winwin 加油!
i like it when you said winwin is in both videos, even he's in all korean, english, and chinese versions
I really love regular mv out of all wayv’s mv 😂 i love all set, costume, cg , etc
and it's here! thank you!!
I also enjoy the WayV version much more. I dont know why but yeah i feel you lol
I love this style too. They are so cool and cute at the same time. 😂😂😂
omgomgomg yess stan wayv
WayV is as smooth as their name, and 127 is as snappy as their name
Im always shocked about the fact that you could remember their faces and names like in so short period of time. Im guessing that you watched their video a lot esp the crackhead ones lmao anyway nice explanation as always! Looking forward for the SR15B reaction a.k.a predebut nct yay! Stay healthy and safe Jeff!
helloctober 15 it’s my hobby to to watch NCT while having lunch now ahah
Xiaojun is the one doing the highnote. (He was also the one on the bull). I think that he is shorter than Ten actually
He isn’t shorter
OMG AS ALWAYS. NCT / WAYV CONTENT. :)))))
I recommend you to watch also SR15B Dance Practices, all are short videos so you might want to check and react to them all at once. By the way, sr15b is what they (nct members) are called before as trainees. It shows how good they are at dancing even before debut.
the wayV choreo has a lot more as a group, whereas the nct127 ver splits off into smaller groups
edit: got to 5:22 and you said the same thing lol
You've got to react to THE8's contemporary dance and new mv for his song Falling Down, it just released today!

I know Jeff will be busy with lots of other reactions but there's a group called OnlyOneOf with a song called Sage. The choreography itself is a masterpiece, let alone the song! I suggest checking out their dance practice (for anyone, but it'll be awesome if Jeff reacts to it haha)
Needs more ASTRO on this channel... they just dropped the dance practice to their new single "Knock" as well.
WayV regular is the superior regular version for me 💓
React to SR15B dance prac + bassbot. Thats the most powerful nct dance I've ever seen. Also please check out Fire Truck :))
Wayv best boys
Korean version flexin their fruitful hardwork.
English version flexin their money.
Wayv version flexin their looks and visuals.
ALL ARE GOOD
the theater if I'm not mistaken is the one found in the SM Coex
you really need to check "falling down" by the8 from seventeen!!! it came out today! it's really beautiful and the dance seems to have a deep meaning. i would love to see your reaction!
My face every time I hear Kun get a compliment 🥺
Jeff you should really check out TOO rising sun performance
It's a cover of the tvxq song "rising sun" they preformed it for a survival show for lesser known idol groups who already debuted TOO just debuted not too long ago and are participating in the show this week they did a performance for the song rising sun the choreography is very creative and vocals are high quality there's no fans practice just performance make sure to watch the one without reactions unless you wanna see other groups reactions TOO also have thier debut song "magnolia" I think you should check out their choreos are very creative and energetic you should really check them out
Keep up the good work
TOO FIGHTING!!!!
2:08 this made me think: can it be the ifluence of main dancers? Ten more into flued movements, Tae more sharp, both in good relationship with Prepix Ill, both like to create choreography
Yana Shvetsova yeah I heard Ten works with the team for the choreo part
I knew you'd enjoy this version. As a Ten bias Lucas wrecker, please know this video took me tf out. I love how their dance style is a lot more fluid, and idk if this is just me but I think it mirrors the language - I think Chinese sounds like they move.
The behind the scenes videos for this mv are really cute. 100% worth a watch.
FURTHER - check out 127's IRregular version. Hooooo boy.
gosh I love your uploads u can tell lol
8:30 HAS ME ROLLINGGGY
