  • In this video Dr. Nash Jocic talks about the importance of two essential minerals, sodium and potassium and why you must not be deficient in none of them. Although many people are aware that potassium is very important mineral fro muscle growth, not many know that sodium is THE MOST IMPORTANT mineral in the body! More about healthy eating, muscle building and fat loss diets you can find in Dr. Nash Jocic's E-books 'The Ultimate Nutrition' and 'Feed The Muscle Not The Fat' on his website www.nashfittrai....

Well done Nash - having suffered during a very stressful period of my life from adrenal fatigue - I developed an electrolyte imbalance that lead to eye twitch - or a spasm in one of my ocular muscles - causing double vision. I spent many frustrating months and thousand of dollars visiting ophthalmological eye specialist (two of which recommended surgical correction - when they should have known and referred me to a endocrinologist. S0 - beware - sodium and potassium and electrolytic balance are very important !!!

@@nashjocic888 btw, my whole life has been dramatically improved since I increased potassium intake. Maybe you do not know, but doctors very often say "do not take potassium!!! you do not need it" and people here are very scared by taking potassium, and I must say, also very sick, it seems like lower potassium is in root of 30% disease, at least! Best!

Nash, this is great advice, and it is something that is desperately needed given how much sodium has been demonized and has been falsely linked to high blood pressure. Outside of dietary fat, no other substance has been vilified in our media like salt has. The real cause of high blood pressure is not a high sodium intake - with the exception of a very small percentage of people who are salt sensitive. The real cause of MOST high blood pressure is insulin resistance and the concomitant fluid retention. This is usually caused by the chronic over consumption of refined carbohydrates. The only way to counteract this insulin resistance is to lower carbohydrate consumption. By reducing carb intake, you reduce insulin resistance, thus providing a natural diuretic effect which flushes excess fluid, and thereby lowering blood pressure dramatically. Due to the potency of the low carb diet to lower blood pressure rapidly, in order to prevent blood pressure from getting too low, one must consume extra salt when switching to a low carb diet.

Hi Drake, yes you are right. But, it is not only the overconsumption of the refined carbohydrates but carbohydrates in general. Egyptians did not have sugar (invented around the year 1000 AD) and were dying from obesity related diseases... Their higher classes over consumed bread, believing that is the food of gods... Every type of carbohydrates will end up as glucose, hence insulin production. More of it, more insulin...

Pozdrav, N

Are you aware of all the intrinsic defensive toxins that exist in vegetables, in particular the green leafy vegetables? Many people, including myself, feel a lot better when these are eliminated from the diet. This is especially evident in decreased levels of inflammation.
