    Absolutely fantastic, Mark. Thank you, seriously, for not explaining it arrogantly or like we're dumb! (I'm shocked at how many creators do that...) Honestly, you're helping me stay motivated and knowledgeable about getting into flight school someday, and I'm very grateful for your FANTASTIC videos.

      Thanks for saying that, it's always tricky to find the right balance of just enough detail vs not enough.

    Absolutely incredible, this video filled in all the blanks for me. I was definitely in a situation of not knowing what I don't know. There are lots of tutorials on a specific method of using autopilot but this was incredibly helpful to just lay it all out. I'm new to flight Sim and people like you make it such a great hobby and community

    Im really working on learning the g1000 just for the reasons you stated at the opening. Its in so many aircraft, so seems like a good system to become comfortable with

      It’s nice because you can switch from one to the other easily, but I do still like a good ol’ set of regular instruments as well. I guess that’s telling my age haha

      Same…one of my favorite GA aircraft is the Black Square TBM 850. Unfortunately there is still no sound fix for 2024. I dont have 2020 installed anymore, so no access to sound file.

    • @FlightSimSchool
      @FlightSimSchool  17 днів тому +1

      @@jay-rus4437 I haven't uninstalled 2020 yet, there's still too many of my addons that I still like to fly that haven't been ported yet (mostly the 777 and 737, but also the Black Square planes)

    How do you adjust the speed after activating FLC in the Cessna 208 Caravan?

    Great videos - very helpful. I'm trying to use MSFS '24 to practice instrument approaches for my IFR check ride at the end of this month. I haven't bought any peripherals as i was hoping to just auto pilot for practice. however, because i don't have a yoke or stick, i crash the plane every time upon take off. Is there a way to start the sim in the air so i can just concentrate on the approaches? Thanks!

    • @FlightSimSchool
      @FlightSimSchool  13 днів тому

      I think your best option would be to pick up a very basic stick, like the Logitech (it’s less than $50 depending on where you live). There are some ways to make it start mid-air (click on the world map anywhere) but you’ll have issues for sure.

    Hey Mark can you do a video on some of the other auto pilots like the dhc-2s model?

    I have been struggling so much with AP and now I finally understand how to use it on purpose! 😁 Thanks Mark.
    A new problem I'm having: when I turn off AP, the speed tape gets stuck at whatever speed I was travelling at. Makes landing incredibly difficult not knowing what my speed is. Any tips on how to fix this?
    Also, do I detect a very, very slight French-Canadian accent?

    • @Dizzy_Jugglerz

      I just figured out the Airspeed indicator problem...turning on PITOT HEAT seemed to fix it. 😇

    When engaging NAV mode when I’m off of the gps path my plane will very aggressively turn to the path, overshoot a lot and the turns aggressively back to the course. I don’t remember 2020 behaving this way. I don’t know if this behavior is correct or a bug or if I have a setting incorrect.

    • @FlightSimSchool
      @FlightSimSchool  5 днів тому

      I noticed it tends to hunt for the course as well, it's why I recommended using HDG mode to get close to back on course first.
