1 of the most real sailing channels for at least the last 3 years, love it. You guys deserved all the help & perks you can get to showcase Australia the way you do. i wish I could help more than complements.
Just another beautiful video!!💖 From sailing with whales to soaring in the sky, ooh my. Thank you for sharing your journey. What an amazing treat. Just imagine 50 years ago the video quality (or lack thereof). Now with a drone, good video cameras etc make the imaging fantastic. Be safe, blessings❤
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Humpbacks from the air is another level, what great patrons you have. Platypus bay and Frazer island are jewels. Do you guys get sore cheeks from smiling so much? Like the intro.
I only have about 12-15 hours in the Cardinal (177) RG, but it is a great plane for sightseeing! Looked a bit "bumpy" in the winds but also looked like a great deal of fun. That said, the sailing in this episode looked even better. As always it is so good to "visit" with the two of you! Thanks so much!
You guys have a really good time (I guess for the most part!) and having friends who can make it even better is awesome! Keep the videos coming. I look forward to the new one every week.
What a great day and great video...you guys are stacking up some wonderful memories and notable experiences....looking forward to Troy's book and Pascale's cookbook for the seven seas, which I am sure you guys will do :-)
Bonfire is showing that the t-shirts are not yet available. I'd certainly like one. And that was wonderful that you got a flight around your sailing ground. As a private pilot I know how much fun it is to take people up for their first flight in a small plane. Cheers.
There's a special link for patrons to purchase t-shirts on the Patreon post that has this video attached to it! The campaign for the public won't start running until the video goes live to the public next week :)
ice one guys !! A bit more laid-back and soooo much fun seeing you both in a Cessna !! I also love small airplanes, yet sailing is my fav place to be. Could see just pure joy in both of you at the tiller !!
Thanks for sharing another amazing day of Free Range Sailing + Flying :) Reckon Troy was inspired to get Mirrool "flying" on the water 7.5 knots! You can see he was in his happy place, big smile on his dial :D
Served on a US submarine in the 70's. Would listen to whales, dolphins, shrimps and other "biologics" in sonar. And occasionally a ship would make itself known by its screw noise!
Flew around fraiser be about 30 years ago, grass air strip at the time remember bouncing down the strip, we seeing mostly sharks all 4 breakers out, enyoied the video, have fun looking forward to the journey.
Nice, had the pleasure of a flip in a powered Glider over Stanley Island off Knysna in SA way back, sailed down the coast line sans power on the stick with Southern Right whales and rays beneath us.....good memories,
Light planes put a different feeling in your belly than a small yacht in a turbulent sea from my experience, but they are both great fun👍 Have you been ashore on The great Fraser Island to have a look?
Great video guys. Can you do us a favor? Cut off the deck winch through bolts inside the cabin and fit some dome nuts to the bolts? Or a bit of sponge or foam, over the tail ends. Just keep seeing heads and bolt ends in close proximity. Love your videos keep doing what your doing ! Ant, Cid & the Pooch crew.
Fantastic Voyage! And you're relaunching tee-shirts when I'm actually going to have some money! Bonus! Kinda wondering if the whale song keeps you awake at night?
No, we sleep pretty soundly to whale song Scott! When we are underway, the offwatch in the forward bunk can hear when dolphins visit by the whistling and clicking through the hull. Very cool
💭️💡️ Try out longer sequences without music. I mean something like this: [Background music still present] "Come with us and enjoy the next five minutes of free range sailing. Or forward to [nu:mb:er +00:05:00 minutes] if you want to avoid probably getting seasick". Roll on, background music fading out now, pure environmental sound of water, wind, canvas, whatever; fix mounted camera, or maybe shots from a second or third position on the boat (e.g. action camera high up on the mast), or just hold and carry the camera on two or three different spots on Mirrool. Please muff the wind. Otherwise nothing (!) else. After the announced lengh of time, fade in the background music, go on with speaking. Please do not simply start speaking, as viewers might get shocked 🔊️ or deaf 🎧️. Free range sailing 🤘️ in different conditons, sailing in canyons or alongside coastlines, snorkeling and/or diving (crackling of corals, voices of whales or dolphins, etc.), landing a fish from bite to gaff - you have ample opportunities for creating additional content.
Great videos to both of you. Is it time Pascale does a couple of single handed sails? Off topic I thought you might like to look at this, it is short but if you go back through the Delos videos you will find a few where Brian talks about Lithium batteries. ua-cam.com/video/n4xrcB2cbTA/v-deo.html
I've been an airplane mechanic for 36 years in the states and that is one very nice Cardinal. Kudos to Stephen for maintaining such a nice airplane!
Flew a Cardinal for years. One of the sweetest aircraft out there. The video got me all nostalgic. 😊
Always makes fora nice nightcap watching two of my favorite sailors just before bed....😊👌

Aussie tourism should fork out $300k for the promotion.
Totally agree Rustyjeff 👍
At least your comments have more meat than mine.
Awesome for Pascale to get to have that Overwhelming RUSH in a Little plane....I saw that WHEW !!!!! Awesome
Another fun episode from FRS , great that the whales are still featuring !!
You go lady sailing that thing!

Watch these and enjoy the relaxed vibe. A stressed skipper and crew is the death of a voyage. None of that here. Nice work, guys.
Awesome times you guys.....and always thank you for the fun times...!!!
Awesome. You definitely living the dream. Thanks for sharing.
You can feel how happy the boat was through the screen.
Im glad to see im not the only one that gets excited and screams out the speed !
Great content and editing as usual. You both are a pure joy to watch as you travel about. Thanks for providing such awesome vids.
Oh the way those landing gear flail around when in transit... they always made me smile.
you two are simply fabulous ... I hope you're busy drafting a book on your journey ... I expect it will be a great yarn

The ships log is updated at intervals and Pascy's cookbook recipes are undergoing rigorous testing ;)

One of your best yet videos. Thanks to you both for all your hard work.
Lots of fun. Thank you.
The new intro is great.
Freaking superb. Another whopping treat. Cheers
Looks like you were flying along. Aeroplane looked like fun too. I spend a lot of time down there. Nearly as good as the Keppels and 5 rocks.

Was that 15 minutes? Seemed like about 3 or 4. You can't go wrong with cetacean footage. Fair winds and following seas.

All the winch bolts inside the cabin have acorn nuts on them already.
@@FreeRangeLiving Phew thats good, it did not look like it in the vid. Best we get our eyes checked!!! Sail Safe. Ant, Cid & the Pooch crew.
Aye m8's, it's just like I feel your happiness, when you're out on the blue!

They say any landing you can walk away from is a good landing : )
What do they say about landings you have to run from?
@@FreeRangeLiving :-D
If you can walk away its a good landing, if you can use the aeroplane again its a great landing.
1:30.., I wonder what those whales are saying to each-other?.., "Epstein didnt kill himself!"....
Even they know?
@@FreeRangeLiving Who knows?.., be safe and keep doing what you'se are doing

Gee.....looks like Pascy is demanding a fancier dress code when she is at the helm......or you guys just starting to feel the cold?
The joys of op shops. Business shirts are great to keep the sun off and stay cool.
@@FreeRangeLiving All looking good, just coincided with a change up in helm duties.
:)
Maybe the dingo ate your baby... 😂
Stretching a bit on that joke.
@@FreeRangeLiving the dingo island and Australian accents..... not much, really...
