for cruelella, if she was to make fur coats, a suggestion is maybe instead of just faux fur, she might be able to do sheep fur due to sheep needing to be shorn to see and not be too hot during summers.

The art of Ursula gave me the vibes of a grandmother. Grandmothers (most of them) give kind words and do what they can to build the confidence her grandchildren. I think it works for her.

I appreciated the insert about the original story of _Peter Pan._ It's not expounded upon in the book, but it *DOES* straight out say that when Peter felt his Lost Boys were growing up too much, he would cull them. It's only one line in the original book, but that's straight from JM Barrie himself. You're right; all of the pirates were Lost Boys who somehow managed to survive Peter's culling hunts. It's why I sympathize with Hook so much; can you even imagine the trauma he's been through? Raised to believe all pirates and grownups are evil, and that Pan was not only his leader but his best friend in the world...then one day, to have your RoD BFF try to murder you because you've begun to grow up. Having a hand hacked off in a desperate battle to survive, watching Pan laugh hysterically as he tossed your still-bleeding hand to a crocodile, barely escaping... Waking up, probably feverish and weak from blood loss and infection, aboard a pirate ship, to see the very people you had been taught all your life to hate, caring for you and looking at you with pity in their eyes...and after a while, finally getting it. Understanding why the pirates were loathe to kill the Lost Boys, why so many of them have similar scars to you.
Hook was never truly a villain; he was a victim in terrible need of therapy, desperate to escape from his prison and his tormentor, and trying as hard as he could to save his people and take them with him to freedom.

I really appreciate how when making them ‘good’ you didn’t detract from moralized features like fatness or disability (used as shorthand to show someone is evil or twisted tut). I see people make ‘good’ Ursula by slimming her down and it is atrocious. Loved the hook story especially.
Heres what I think a good Ursula would change the film:
The story could still be the same but Ursula is more of an encouraging figure that could be hidden somewhere in the background, doing the classic encouraging moments you expect to see with these characters.
Maybe Ursula gives Ariel a potion(or idk) that turns Ariel human but something happened, Ariel lost the ability to speak when got her legs.
Naturally, this Ursula would be all "Oh my god that wasent supposed to happen!" and so on.
So in short, Ursula would be a parental/encouraging figure with Sebastian, Flounder and so on. (+King Trident)
The rest can be up to you all!
Feel free to add or twist the concept a bit.

This wouldn’t exactly be a GOOD Ursula, but it would be cool if her being a villain was a plot twist! She seems to be a nice elderly lady who wants to help Ariel, so Ariel agrees without reading the contract, only to later discover the side effects
there's a two-shot manga called "the reincarnated little mermaid does not want to disappear as foam" that includes ursula as a kind old granny (tho she's only mentioned). granted, the story itself focuses on the original tale of the little mermaid as opposed to the disney version.

In regards to James Hook, the coincidence of giving him one leg reminds me of this Japanese folktale about scarecrows being gods of wisdom because they have been watching the farm in many years, which in this case, Hook has been looking out for any children brought by Peter for a long time
i love this concept so much, i've always been such a big fan of the "twisted" disney novels because you get to see the story from a different perspective and seeing te villians as the good guys makes it so much sweeter 💕

For ersula, I'm glad that you kept the same kind of design, but made it more noticeable that she's a good person
There is a book out there, that's called "Lost Boy" from Christina Henry, which talks about the Story of James Hook who was Peter's best friend an one of the first lost boys but he at some point couldn't tolerate Peter anymore because it wasn't just orphans he took but he also kidnapped children with a family. So James starts a pirate crew with some lost children to "save" the kidnapped kids and bring them back to their familys. It's a really good book

The reason Disney draws pointy triangle shaped heads is because of a art principle, there are 3 different shapes that mean different things, triangle meaning a tough rude and sometimes just evil person/creature, square is a tough but protective and trust-worthy feel, and a circle meaning cute/nice, trust-worthy, and just sweet feel.

And I think that goes back to basic instincts. Sharp, pointy things can really hurt (like walking on gravel) while hard, blocky things can be used for protection (bricks to build shelter) and soft, round things are completely unthreatening (bubbles)
With Hook. I'm thinking that his name of "Captain Hook" would be used to deter lost boys and girls from going towards him and not know he is actually the good guy of the story. Also, Hook would read them bedtime stories when they get tired during the trip back home from Neverland. He definitely seems like a really good grandpa type.

I recently read this book called beasts and beauty, and it was feminist reimaginiation stories of fairy tales. (There was also a few stories for men!) and the story for little mermaid was that Ariel was super caught up with love that she even went as far as marrying the first human she saw. So she went to Ursula who was banished after she got “too ugly/fat” for taking tridents taste. It was part of a merpeople custom that women should be fair and skinny. (In this story she is king tridents ex) Ursula tried to warn Ariel but Ursula decided to help her anyways. Because in her eyes, Ursula was helping Ariel understand what the real world is like with human hunters ect.
I really like this book because they make all of their characters have flaws and personality. As well as intentions for all their actions.
Oh, I LOVE that book! The author has also written a series called The School for Good and Evil, which adds lots of nuance and depth to the typical good/evil rhetoric. If you liked that book, I totally suggest that series!
You can skip the Netflix adaptation though.

This has been on my mind for a WHILE.
It's basically Kother Gothel, sure she doesn't start out all good since she kidnaps Rapunzel, but as Rapunzel grows up, she starts getting attached to her and actually sees her as her sweet little daughter, now only not letting her go because she's afraid of losing her, afraid of her going back. (She does let her leave the tower though, just doesn't let her go far, comsidering the wilderness is dangerous, especially when you gotta drag all that hair around)
Maybe at one point in her life she tells Rapunzel the truth, Rapunzel could have forgiven her, especially cuz Gothel came clean and well, communication, and she sees Gothel as her mother

Dang, I ever knew Peter Pan was so dark. I honestly love your concept of good Captain Hook and I kind of want a show/movie/story about it. I won’t force it, I’m just saying I like it. Also I thought of a name for good Cruella, but it’s not really that good. I came up with “Mercy Anne Gelle.” If anyone has other name ideas, I’d love to hear them. Also also, if there will be a part two, I kind of wanna see Jafar, Maleficent, Dr Facilier, or Mother Gothel. Just some suggestions.

Fun fact: According to the movie Cruella, her real name is Estella, the 2 criminals were originally her bullies, but after her "Mother" dies, she is forced to live alone in England. The 2 boys become her friends. Later, on her birthday, she's given a certificate that lets her work in a fashion department, but she works as a janitor. She has to put on a wig too, because on her other side, She is basically ruining all the events as Cruella. Later her boss finds out, ties her up, and burns down the building.
If anyone is wondering the owners names, they are Roger and Anita, Their henchmen are name Horace and Jasper. The puppies parents are named Pongo and Perdita. Sorry if i spoiled you lol-

If you do one with Hades, please make him more like the actual Greek myths where he's cold but fair, and (since there are more than a few different interpretations of the myths) either make him not mind his job or dissatisfied but not complaintive.

I sometimes see people turn her skinny, and take away the fact she’s plus sized because they turn her into a mermaid. But I love the fact that she’s still a big woman.

For the Cruella part, it should be that when she saw the puppies, she felt a sense of remorse, and quit her ways of cruelty to animals, and instead started a new fashion line that required no animal cruelty things, but that I really do love the style used for Cruella, and she could be the hero who saved the puppies :D

If you are going to make Disney princesses into villains again I would really like to see Cinderella because She could get the revenge she needed on her sisters and stepmother and take over the throne when she does get married if she does and basically rule the entire kingdom I don’t know that’s how I was thinking of it.
I actually like good Hook as older looking, and very fitting when you consider evil Hook is a man always running away from time(hence the crocodile who swallowed a clock) and afraid of getting older. And In the Iconic Hook Movie with Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman it’s shown his black hair is a wig to cover his balding gray hair and hide his aging. So it makes sense a good version of Hook is someone who has accepted that eventually he will grow old and it’s a natural part of life and shouldn’t be ashamed of it.

I think that in Captain Hook’s non-villain origin story, Tinkerbell wouldn’t actually know what happens to the lost boys, and she’s just under the impression that they all go home when they grow up, but one day she actually sees Peter Pan k!ll a lost boy to stop him from aging, and that’s why she joined Hook.

Fun fact about captain hook: captain hook actually started targeting another hero(he still targets peter pan, he just also started hating another one) and is a villain in a cartoon called "jake and the never land pirates" & in a late new one, "captain jake and the never land pirates"(and yes, their the same but just different seasons) where jake and his crew, Cubby, Izzy and a parrot(I forgot his name) are officially friends with peter pan and stops captain hook from ruining, destroying and taking over neverland along with some other friends along the way, but sometimes they help hooks crew(like helping mr. Smee, or atleast I think we spell his name, getting him closer to Red Jessica, and finding his heart) but they also meet new villains throughout the episodes of captain Jake like captain underwear(is actually undergear but they just mock his name), the black thingy, etc. Sorry for the waste of time, and if you were able to get to here, thank you for your time.
