Welcome back to Switzerland - we have arrived in Zurich with a goal in mind - check out the rumours to see if Switzerland really is as expensive as they say! Next stop renting a car and heading out - where should we go?
Basel 🙌🏻 Not many vloggers come here as it’s not in the mountains. But still beautiful and close to France and Germany. Also Lucerne and Zug are beautiful. If you can go on a mountain coaster, they are super fun!
I was smiling the entire video. The part Jess gets the coin and Hunter went flying in those chairs, just hilarious!!! Thank you for brightening up our days, what a wonderful blog
I am from Zurich, grew up in Zurich and still live here. I love seeing you guys really enjoying the city to the fullest. It is so nice to watch the movie as i know all the places you have visited in this video. Sadly i didn't bump into you guys in Zurich... enjoy Switzerland - it is so worth it. Hug
Travelled a lot in my life, live in Zurich since 4 years. When you earn a salary here, this is by far one of the most liveable cities in the world. I love it here and want to raise my family here!
@@spudwave3661 I am living in Geneva, I would say yes it is expensive, but the salary also matches, and just normal office job you can live decent life. This is contrast of some other expensive cities such as London, New York where if you want keep the same life quality with the same job is not possible...yet the life is also much quieter 😅 and less dynamic, depends on your taste
I totally agree with you, I am living in Geneva, it's expensive but life quality is also high which is not the case in many other expensive cities such as London, New York, Paris...(they are actually a bit cheaper comparing to Geneva, Zurich)
Im from Switzerland and it is really amazing how you manage to make every tiny thing to look absolutely adorable! Loved every single one of your Switzerland video. They are such a great quality! Keep on going and have a nice trip trough Europe :)
I LOVED this one - the pace of it, everything you guys did in Zurich. We plan to travel there next year with our little one so this was great to watch. Also, seeing how happy little Hunter is just makes me smile so much! I hope you do more like these!
8:54 I had to smile when you described the location of your AirBnb as "outside the town". Because your AirBnb was still right in the city and in a very popular part of town. It's a shame you didn't discover the river baths, nice bars or the industrial quarter right next to your Airbnb, that would have been a bit more authentic than the very touristy old town, where practically no people live anymore. But nevertheless: I really enjoyed watching your video.
Another fab post. Loved the delight when Hunter saw merry go round and the giggle on the chain swing that went faster than Jess thought. You guys are giving so much delight to your followers. I look forward to every post.
Can’t wait to watch the video you guys always make me happy and cheer me up Thankyou for always being there for me when I’m sad have a lovely rest of your week xxx ! ❤️😘😍🥰
Flying to Switzerland tomorrow from Austin Texas. Watching this video made me super happy. Having grown up in Zurich I really miss living there. I’m glad you enjoyed it
I remember being SHOOK to my core at the prices! My husband and I ended up buying ice cream at a grocery store and eating it in a park at Zurich for lunch because that’s all we could afford. But those experiences made special memories. I can’t wait to watch your Switzerland series!
Don't worry about it, you had the perfect Swiss experience. Because that's how the locals do it too... Because opposite to popular belief, it's still very, very pricey for normal people, even on local salaries. It can be deceiving because there really are a lot of high-earning/rich people in Zürich, but that's somewhat constrained to a core zone which obv includes all the touristy/popular areas, but your normal everyday citizen has to be just as careful with spending as everyone else really, and no, you won't find construction workers living anywhere near the places you saw in the video.
Sooooo beautiful to see this! We live just 5min from the cable car you‘ve been using and I feel so privileged to have all this beautiful things just around the corner. I sometimes forget…
I was watching this at my mom's house and she passed by and said "what movie are you watching and I told her it was my favorite travel vloggers and this is youtube. She could NOT believe it, she said but it looks so polished and I'm listening to all sorts of interesting dialogue". I told her Stephen is just extremely good at what he does and they have a lot of experience.
Im living in Germany and i can say everything is doubled in price in Zürich.it is a rich city and people earn good. Lindt balls are also in grocery stores and Kaufhof in Germany in different flavors. Zwitzerland's nature is another level.
I really look forward to each new video little Hunter is always happy as are her mum and dad always smiling enjoying your wonderful life can’t wait until the next video love you all
Welcome to Zurich! I'm living here now for 36years and can't imagine go back to my country. It's expensive yes but if you speak german (hard to learn) you can easily find a job to earn enough to live here. Enjoy Switzerland!
I have been in Zurich already twice and it is one of my favorite places in the world! I do recommend a place that you haven't been, Hiltl, which is an oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world. Their weekend buffet is to die for!
Any vlog is a good vlog! I am from Norway and is up there with Switzerland when it comes to how expencive everything are. It is strange for me to travel to Switzerland because it even more pricy that Norway. Keep up the good work.
Commented elsewhere (under your inquiry about where to go) but in Switzerland, Camping Jungfrau! And outside: Denmark. I replied there, too, on our most recent trip to Billund and where we stayed. Loving the videos!
I love the family travels! This is so inspiring to me as a mom of 2 who doesn’t want to give up the adventures❤️ never stop! We love watching y’all’s adventures!

It feels accessible for the regular person. Great tips and recommendations. Thank you for this great content. Love watching you!
What a beautiful traveling with family!! Your daughter is so cute!! And beautiful Switzerland!! perfect!! Thank you for sharing this my new friend!!😍😃👍👍
Regarding the free water fountains: any fountain without a label or warning can be considered safe to drink. By law, only non-potable water fountains have to be labelled. This is in contrast to other countries where potable water is explicitly labelled as such
i real like this take on a vlog! Its actually really useful and informative for the average person compared to some of your other higher price experiences
We’re living in Zurich with two kids. Big smile on my face when I saw Hinter enjoyed the same playgrounds and activities I’ve just visited with my boys. There’s so much more to discover. Swimming elephants, beautiful hikes trough ravines in the city area, two cable railways. It’s a wonderful place to raise children here…
Just love you guys to pieces! Little Hunter is such a joy to watch too. I ADORE your music!!! Can I buy it somewhere? Also, your editing is fantastic! I love this style of video so much. Can't wait to see your next video.
Really professionally paced video. Fun, too! Our Hunter-look -alike daughter's first word was, "No!"; she didn't like something. She loved peach juice as a baby, though, so she was called Peaches sometimes. Her Native American name, after she'd been home a few weeks was Screaming Eagle! Can't wait to see the Alps with ya'll. (sorry, Texas talk)
Loved that vlog! I'm from zurich and thats basically what my best friend and I do on those summer days, strolling through the city, swimming in the lake and go to the food festival 😍😋
When we were in Zurich a few years ago we found that prices for meals were similar to the US because in the US we add a 20% tip when eating out. We remember watching your 2015 Zurick video before our trip in 2017. If I remember, one of your sisters was with you on your 2015 Zurich trip!
I don't think Switzerland has to be expensive. If you don't go shopping in the first store that comes along, you actually get almost the same prices as in Germany. About the swiss markets. There are Coop and Migros the biggest from switzerland. There is like average price. If you want to go cheaper you can go to the german ones like Aldi or Lidl. In the farming areas there are the Landi's where you find cheap products combined with farming stuff. In the little mountains village you mostly find a Volg. There is the same stuff like everywhrere but its a little bit cheaper and less selection.

Living in Switzerland, I have to say Zürich is my favorite city. You can do a lot, and there's so many different places for everyone. Old town, forest, alternative areas, shops, lake... But like everything in Switzerland, you can do a lot but if you have money. It's funny when people around the world think living in Switzerland means to be rich. Yes you earn lot of money, but you have so many taxes, insurance and expensive prices (like the starbuck's coffee here) that it's sometimes hard to do everything as you want in Switzerland.
This was so funny to watch, because a couple weeks ago we went to Zürich too and we saw nearly exactly the same places, so it was like a flashback to watch this :-)
