- UPDATE sunday morning
filly is doing great! she was up, doing some early morning sprints
drank a bunch
we are watching her closely for pooping .. she needs to have a healthy gut!!!
she does need to be on antibiotics twice a day for a week to battle any infections that may be in her, we need to watch closely her temperature, for any heat or swelling in her joints and of course that she goes to the bath room.
she is much better but not out of the woods yet.

YOU all make it possible to bring these foals to the vet clinic with out worrying about the 'cost' of life saving (or in some cases a humanely euthanization)
You give the foals much needed support and love, we just do the necessary care and many many videos of these babies for you.

The Camilles do amazingly well with these orphans. In a few weeks, 5his girl will be part of the herd - horse, human, dog.
The shivering may be due the antibodies ramping up her immune system to fight off an infection.

Could name her TWISTA... since she had a lucky "twist" of fate, with you saving her from a bad situation, plus she was born with a distinctive twister-shaped blaze.

Vet bills on the babies is so expensive. One of ours had an infected umbilicus and later we realized she also had an umbilical hernia. Between the antibiotics and then the surgery for the hernia and later another surgery for chips in hocks as a yearling, I can empathize how fast the bills can add up. Anyone who thinks raising babies is cheap and mom does all the work hasn’t had one go sideways yet…well done and you guys are doing a great job taking them in with all the unknowns they need!
Yes! Actually,ANYTHING medical with horses cost a fortune. I am amazed that any horses, that are not “money makers “, have much of a chance in this world….only,with compassionate people like these two,it seems….I’m fortunate to be able to care for a couple of rescues ,in my old age…they are bringing joy, and light,to my life…🐴💚🐴

Have to admit I`m one of those horse people who if I had a horse shivering real bad from the cold & if it was cold still outside & a little one like this , I would bring it into my house until it warmed up outside. Thought I was going to have to do that a couple of months ago to our full sized horse as he was shivering so bad from an unexpected cold heavy rains of a night & day that we experienced. The rest of the herd looked miserable but were not shivering just our largest horse was. Fortunately with lots of good hay & some grain in his barn he recovered within a 1/2 hour. Later he would not go out even if there was the slightest little amount of rain.

I use to have horses and foals. But not now. So looking at your horses and your foals lets me feel those old fond memories. I just adore your videos with Jordan's training the different horses. I have watched since you rescued Ranger and now your new found filly. God bless you all! Could you let me know how to financially contribute to the new filly? you really do need a kit bag set up fir the wildie babies that need support, and bags of milk with colostrum supplement in the freezer ready to go. Yes that baby really needed a blanket and a good sleep.

When I seen the 1st clio I thought it was a re-post of smokey, she's probably his sister, the face marking are very close. Thanks for what you do.
Shivering actually burns a lot of calories. Blanket yes. Brushing can also stimulate circulation. Poor baby every time humans come she gets a needles. Do lots of visits and handling that don’t cause pain or trauma. Hope she gets up gets lively out in the sunshine. Glad you got a good vet onboard and lots of donations to offset expenses.
So thankful your community cares as much for these orphans as you do... So happy to see 'Twister' is doing well!!!
