Tanagers

We have many different summer migrants here for their nesting season, so let's talk about one of these groups - the tanagers!
In North Carolina, we are visited by both the Scarlet and Summer Tanager. The bright red tanager males are often confused with cardinals at first glance. However, once you take a second look, it can be easy to spot the differences.
