Man Newage is on a hot streak right now. These Dino’s they’re putting out is top shelf and in my opinion has no equal in their scale. Great review. Can’t wait for swoop and the rest of the gang.
It's also smaller and more expensive, as it's $75 - $114, depending on where you buy it. Nothing wrong with that as mine's on the way and so is Grimlock.
@@Getloose360 I clearly stated mine's on the way, which I now have both Grimlock and Sludge with Slag and Swoop on pre-order. $85 is probably the most I'll pay for it as anything over that and it's way too much money for how small it is. $115 is Fans Toys and X-transbots Masterpiece level scale, not Legends. Both my Fans Toys Pipes and Brawn only cost me $90 each and they're way bigger and just as good in quality. My X-transbots Springer and Bulkhead only cost me $145 and $110 respectively. So yes, I do put price points and size on the products I buy on whether it's worth it or not.
The transformation is impressive and very clever. Newage provides for some very solid offerings and almost no end of color variations. I got to say though that from my prospective Magic Square has really picked up their game. For now I'm glad that they don't seem to be competing character for character. At their size I imagine these dinos would fit in with collections from either.
Nice review! It's a fantastic figure. I really like the engineering in the lower legs to slim them down in bot mode. It's a big contrast to the Gigapower Sludge who has massive lower legs. I did swap the claws on the hands with the yellow. It provides a nice contrast. Both color options are accurate as far as I can tell based on inconsistencies in the cartoon.
Excellent review. Almost Flawless Paint. Some neat little gimmicks and tricks. How does he match up with the Older (Out Dated but cheaper) DX9 Sludge? IMO, if NA upsized their Dinobots to Leader Class size, they could have many converts.
I had Ymir and he was great, but I really want to wait for MagicSqaure’s versions to compare before going all in. My bet is MS is much larger in scale but either way, NA Dinos are top notch. Love that they are doing all the different colors too like G2 and toy.
just got mine in the mail today; thank God for reviews because that leg rotation is something I needed to see done FIRST before I attempted it! Its excellent engineering but scary first transformation!
I have him and my only complaint is that there is a slot for a sword in his packaging, but toon version does not come with one. I would take a sword over googly eyes any day. Great figure and review!
If I knew a few years ago that New Age was going to really come alive and put out so many quality figures I might have decided to go the Legends route with my MP collection. I am very impressed with many of their figures. They have really done a great job. Occasionally I like their competitor Magic Squares' offering better but wow New Age is amazing. What an awesome figure. I loved the transformation.
I'm pretty sure the Legends scale Dinos are probably the best versions of the characters (MP included). Not that I care for toon-accurate dinos, but I'm surprised that no one has attempted it.
I think the ultra simple cartoon look really works well on the legends scale but if someone did a straight OS/MP version of this would it really feel like a masterpiece or would it seem too simple? I'm looking forward to the next one (Swoop) and still thinking about stopping MP altogether!
@@TMReviews Valid point but I meant more aesthetics/design-wise. Even with proper hardware I think the design would look pretty bland. Looking at my FT dinos on the shelf, would 100% cartoon accurate really look better?
Nice toy. I’m buying the comic version whenever it’s released. I actually like the ss86 Dino mode better, but I like the comic color schemes and so I’m in on those. I’m starting to get bored of all the same figures coming out though… 2024 could be my last year in the hobby if they keep releasing new toys at a high rate.

Mini masterpiece here. Cleans up better than Hasbro's SS86 version for sure.

Doesn't matter, the quality is top notch and well worth the cost.

There's actually a hook on the foot that allows for the bottom panel to move with the toe
and the wings lock into a peg if you straighten them out

Mini MP. Great review. Be blessed
Thanks nan

Yeah I noticed the yellow seems to appear more often in robot mode, but since it's not my figure I decided not to change it out. Thanks for watching

Fantastic Figure!! will wait for the leaderclass size. A job well done for uploading and sharing this video.

Just about perfection. Great bot ✨️😃
Definitely

Great review of a great figure. Thanks Sony!
Una ingeniería impresionante para una figura tan pequeña
This is beautiful! Thanks for the review

5 out of 5 is definitely justified. It is an amazing figure.
Yep

I Preordered the Behemoth version of this
Thanks again just got the C version
👍👍 Awesome looking 👍👍
How does its size in bot and dino mode compare to Magic Square's MS-B58 Brontosaurus?
I haven't handled magic square brontosaurus yet
Can the "wings" on his back move up and down, not just in and out?
Not really

These would not upscale to MP, the pin joints and lack of hardware would make it fail to articulate

Curse you!!! I kid. But now I have to pick this guy up. And just when I thought I was pretty much out. Great review as per usual. Thanks.
Thanks lol

Yeah it's crazy how much is coming out all at once
