- In this awesome video, I do my least favorite thing, sandblasting. Once I get the paint and rust out of the way, I start with fixing the rusty holes.
Great job! You’ve never cut corners with your work which is very respectable. 👍
Man, you do great work. Blue truck looked Awesome. 😊
Awesome as usual!
Rusted kick panels are inevitable unfortunately. Good to see your doing it right.
very nice work!
I have a 72 cst K5 and the drive train is all redone. After digging into the body we found more rust than we thought, of coarse. This vid makes me want to get a rotisserie and pick away myself, the estimate was 50,000 ish 🇨🇦 to do metal and a decent paint job. I have time because as you did I bought another truck instead. Got a 72 K20 custom camper in amazing condition for 35K from the shop who did the estimate. Nice place you have there.
I always advise to do it yourself. It's more rewarding to see the completed project from your blood and sweat rather than writing a check.
You can get c10 bed patch panels very cheap from lmc truck which you can cut to do that bed floor patch. The fitment is pretty damned good.
Thanks. If it looks bad after primer, I may cut it out and go that route.
Hey bro any suggestions/tips on getting that patch that you cut as close to the size of the hole as possible? That second patch came out nice!! 😉👍🏻
I made the patch oversized and then sanded it down using a sanding flap-disk on my grinder. Once it was tight, then I turned the camera back on. haha
Thanks for the video. That kid in Michigan with the rusty one was a dick
Good to hear. I'm glad I didn't try and go that route.
