I had a complete ACL tear, left it for 16 years and just got it surgically repaired last month. After 16 years, it was still completely torn, no healing at all. Surgery is the only way.
when you torn it you brace it so that it heal... or you continue sports imidiatly..sry for my english am greek
Hey Mike. How old are you if I may ask. I raptured it completely at 46 and doctors are saying risk of nasty arthritis is inevitable if I do surgery.
@@boiragirules Hey, I’m 32. I got it done because my knee kept popping out of place anytime I did any lateral movement. So, I was okay with whatever came after because at least my knee will be stable.
Also, Sorry to hear that has happened to you. If you don’t fix it, you’ll always have a bad knee and if you do fix it, there’s a chance you’ll still have an annoying knee, but I’d rather have a fixed annoying knee than a broken annoying knee haha, but obviously do what’s best for you.
@@Mr.MikeTaylor Yeah you are still within that 15 to 35 range my doc mentioned. Good on you for dong this.
Thanks you telling these fools
There are many who, if they had gone through what you went through, they would probably have let themselves be beaten, but I like that you are the complete opposite. You managed to overcome any obstacle encountered, and more than that, you managed to become a better version of yourself. I hope many people see your posts because they have a lot to learn from them.
Thank you very much for your good thoughts! ❤

Big salute for u man👍🏻👍🏻. R u ok now or must go for surgery?
Hi, just wondering if you had surgery or continue with physio therapy? Did you ever go back to playing soccer? And how did you feel playing soccer?
So how do you feel now? Did you get the acl construction?
Part 2 pls
Did you have an acl reconstruction surgery or just exercised healed it?
Hi how are you every one my acl is showing torn but clinically it is ok and meniscus tear grade 1 I rest 22 days can I start walk now without crutches
How is your knee doing now? Did you ever get surgery?
Are you doing bracing protocol??
Where is the part 2 of ur journey sir???
where is the part 2?
7 months post op🤩 rn. Just made progress video!
Whats the status of ur leg now
I met with an accident in August 2023
Got an MRI
Reports said I had torn ACL, meniscus and some more.
Doctors said to get an operation.
Did physiotherapy for a month.
Was able (still able) to walk without any pain and do normal activities.
Got another MRI in May 2024.
Healed everything except for the ACL.
Don't know should I be happy or sad. Got this at a young age of 17 and I feel like I am not able to keep up with the people around my age like run, jump etc. I know I can run/jump but there is a fear at the back of my mind.
I feel my knee is stable but I just don't know what to do.
My friends had surgery and they say they feel pain which I don't.
I really don't know what to do.
A torn acl will never reattach itself, sorry bro but you have to get surgery, I had the exact injury and I was able to do almost everything and felt fine, but my surgeon scheduled me for surgery within a month, it’s surprising how the doctors told you to wait 6 months!
you have partial acl tear
So your telling that you didnt go through surgery with complete acl tear.
How is the knee now, do you manage to avoid surgery? Currently rehabbing my torn acl
How’d rehab go.. did you end up getting it
Partial tear can difficulty be healed with exercices but in case of a complete tear its impossible and surgery is inevitable
how did you say that
Nice haircut mate💪🏻
Keep it up🙏
Thanks !😎👌🏼
At 27 years old I completely torn my ACL as well in December 2015 from a basketball game and healed without surgery. But there was a caveat.
I was able to walk and live an active lifestyle again. I even started picking up new sports like Muaythai and Jiu-jitsu.
Fast forward to January 19, 2024, my knee slipped out of place while doing plyometric box jumps as I fell on the ground in excruciating pain.
The next day my injured leg was swollen, I couldn't bend it, and I was having difficulty walking.
In the MRI they found out that I've already damaged my meniscus with a complex tear.
The doctor convinced me to finally undergo ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair. Now I'm undergoing physical therapy and gradually getting my range of motion back.
You may recover from an ACL injury without surgery but as you age you will have an increased risk of meniscus injuries and osteoarthritis.
should have the surgery if possible
Fasting heals 2x faster
Partial ACL doesn’t count
yeah but i bet you can never play sports because ACL doesnt heal on its own when it's fully torn.
Have fun with the arthritis big dawg.
Worst part is aclr or not arthritis is inevitable.
@@itdontmatterbro it’s severely worse on average if you don’t get the surgery done.
@@jaredackley5039 just had mine done getting rom back feels surreal
Okay considering my clinically reported torn ACL, I've got a plethora of questions but I'll ask the important ones.
1) What was the timeline of your recovery ? How long did it take before you could climb stairs up and down easily?
2) What braces did you use throughout and when did you decide to switch from a hinged brace to normal one ?
3) Where's the second partttt ? Did you go through the surgery ?
It's been 4 months since my injury and I'm able to do pretty much every daily task with just a little uncomfortable pain later in the day (only on days where i pushed my legs too much). I've been doing exercises in moderation. More importantly, I'm at that point of my career which wouldn't allow me to follow a proper rehab schedule post surgery so have decided to delay it at least by a year.
Still a little confused with the way ahead though.
