My goodness, those views still look amazing even on the rain. A very big well done to you both , those hills 🙈. You must have slept for a week on your return home. Well done. Sarah (Horsey Beach.)
We were lucky the rain stopped right at the top 😀. It’s a lovely walk this one which gives great views, especially when the rain clouds drift away. You’re right we are usually quite tired after our trips away, especially when we go to the Lake District with the 6 hour (or more) car journey. Thank you for your kind comments. We really appreciate it, Tim & Selina
Another lovely walk, made more atmospheric by the gloomy conditions. The Lake District was showing its attraction to rain clouds on this occasion. Some of the walk over loose rocks looked a bit hairy, so I'm glad you made it with no problems. Fantastic views from the "smallest" fell!
Thanks for following along Jim. We had a couple of wet weeks in the Lakes in September . Managed a walk most days and filmed a few, we weren’t sure if walking in the rain would look ok on film but you’re right the gloomy weather made it more atmospheric.

Beautiful! I think we have walked either side of it but never up it.
When you were on the west side of Castle Crag you were five minutes from the seat where had our lunch and approximately thirty minutes from the top.
It might be the smallest but it is one of the best.
We always recommend Castle Crag to anyone doing their first fell. It’s like a big mountain in miniature, your right one of the best.
