I have been trying to simulate a way to do preacher curls but could never find a comfortable alternative until now, thank you for coming up with a product that actually works as good if not better than than the original gym version of the preacher bench. It's amazing that you get a reply from the inventor about you praising his product, while I received zero response when I mentioned something about "heavier weights." being an issue. That's proof enough for me that this product is garbage. PS.... You must be curling 10 pounds total! This product is probably for lightweights, not heavyweights such as myself.

    • @GarageGymLab
      @GarageGymLab  2 роки тому

      @@oneessence7 I try to get to every comment - sorry that I missed yours. The pad works well under heavier load because of the foam that’s used, but depending on how heavy your curl, a dedicated station may be more suitable. I’ve seen several guys unilaterally curling with full stretch 60+ lb dumbbells.

    Received my PP a few days ago already. Used it yesterday. My setup for using it was sitting on a Sorinex Squat Box and using the Rogue Cerakote Curl Bar. The Preacher Pad is super light, the foam is pretty perfect as far as allowing for a little conforming to your midsection, but certainly stiff and supportive enough not to “give” in a detrimental way while using it with heavier weight. Did close grips with knees placed widely under outer edges of PP as well as wide grip curls with knees placed together in center of pad. Great isolation (as one would expect for a preacher curl) comfortable on triceps and elbows, and to my body. For a reference, I’m 6’1” and 205.
    The cover seems very durable as well, and the same as my hand stand push-up pad and ABmat AB pad, so it will take a beating and continue to look good.
    Thanks Adam!

    Nice product Adam! I particularly like the portability factor as it's a bit of a chore to drag a preacher bench in front of my lat stack low pulley. Now I can just throw a flat bench down with the preacher pad on top and do cable preacher curls. Kneeling or seated! I don't think the price point is high. Seems about right for fitness equipment at the present! Kudos for thinking outside the box!!

    Love the content you publish to your channel. This product looks great and I will definitely consider it on my gym wishl ist. However, the price is my only turn-off since this is an accessory that has no moving parts and is made out of high density foam. Although it serves a completely different application, Titan offers silencer drop pads at $199 for two dense foam pads in a larger footprint. Nevertheless, keep up the good work. Your content is appreciated.
