    Very good review. I became aware of Doug Dyment when I bought a Richard Webster book from him years ago. He is a great thinker and seems like a nice person.

      Thanks, @S. Raybourne ! Do you own Calculated Thoughts? If not, are you going to buy after seeing the review? 😃

      @@EruditeMagic I don't own it. I have wanted to get Some of DD's works and just never got around to it. I will probably buy this book. I have a show idea that could use some of this material. I also subscribed to this channel and am looking forward to watching all the videos.

    Thanks for the review Jeff, very informative. I had a couple of questions if I may:
    - Can you do any of the routines in the stacked deck section if you use a regular memorized deck stack like Mnemonica? Or are the routines all specific to the stacks that are taught in the book?
    - What did you mean when you talked about "clocking the deck"?
    - Does the book teach any routines that use a magic square or is that section just talking about the theory behind magic squares?
    - Do you still use any of the routines from this book in any of your performances/shows and if so, I would love to hear which ones..
    As always, I appreciate your reviews!

    I think the most intersting thing her is how Geff pronounced Zener, I don't think I've ever heard it said that way before LOL Regarding the book, I'm patiently waiting for mine to be delivered (managed to get it 50% off too!). Really looking forward to getting it.

    • @EruditeMagic
      @EruditeMagic  3 роки тому +1

      Is it as interesting as how you spelled 'Jeff'? 🤔😆 When you get the book, you'll understand why I pronounced it as I did... 😉

      @@EruditeMagic Doh! I'm a Brit and used to spelling it Geoff, I even went back and took the 'o' out but somehow totally missed the first letter LOL

    Along with Calculated Thoughts I bought PRISM. PRISM seems like a pretty popular book right now and I really look forwad to it. The individual colored books were so rare to get. Maybe would be cool sometime for you to review PRISM since you are a mentalist :)

    • @EruditeMagic
      @EruditeMagic  3 роки тому +1

      PRISM has some neat stuff - somewhat card heavy for a mentalism book, but I'm sure you'll enjoy reading the one and only Max Maven

    Great review. Thank you very much 👍🏻😀 since you mentioned in one of your Reviews that you always Carry a pen and a Pad to Write down your ideal and to Perform magic I would be interested to learn what Kind of effects you Performance with it. Would you mind to give an indication of it?

    Thanks for the review! I'm primarily a "magic" magician but if I ever want to delve more into magic, particularly the Magic Square I know what resources to turn to!
    Did you get anything out of the book that you'll add to your reportoire or change in an existing routine?

    • @EruditeMagic
      @EruditeMagic  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, there are definitely a number of things I'll be playing with in my repertoire, and as I mentioned in the video, I already do Eat at Joe's, so his addition there will be great. Thanks for watching and taking to comment 😃
