      Ok so... I tried this and I have to say, it's a miracle. I'm 39 and I feel quite exhausted the day after a work out (basic calesthenics) in fact sometimes it would take 3 days to recover for my next workout. But this milk is sorcerery! I actually feel like I can go workout the next day. I've had the milk thrice in a week now post workout and it works wonders.
      Thank you man for this gem.

    Doesn´t antiinflammatory food (like turmenic milk) affect gains after workouts? Certain amount of inflammation is crucial for muscles to grow. However, I like the taste very much a enjoy it almost daily (not with soy milk though). Good work, love your channel.

    • @lukasvalkovic2205
      @lukasvalkovic2205 4 роки тому

      @Roy Keret I guess you are right that for quicker recovery, anti-inflammatory agents are beneficial. That makes sense. However, for muscular hypertrophy, you rely on some minor muscle damage and their repair, so some would argue, that inflammation, as a natural body´s response to damage is actually needed. To me, it´s keeping a balance between those two, so you have to listen to your body.

    Another great source for antioxidants is choclate. But not the one you can normally buy in stores because the higher the cocoa content, the more antioxidants. So try to make your own choclate by using cocoa butter and some cocoa powder/protein powder in a ratio of 60% to 40%

    • @MinusTheGym
      @MinusTheGym  4 роки тому +2

      gomcoclamp the milk isn't necessary, just a good way to enjoy it. You could sprinkle turmeric (and pepper) into anything and get some benefits. The only advantage of the milk is the additional benefits you get from the ginger (and the extra protein, if you need it)

    • @MinusTheGym

      Guy with a car yeah, you can definitely go that route, but I'd recommend making a smoothie with it. If you're planning to drink it as is like a cup of warm milk or tea, then boiling will help it taste better because the flavors will meld more.

    Oh wow. I actually just bought some tumeric just before I got this video! I am new, but I like your channel. The beginner workouts have been helping. I do have a question. I use goat milk because I am lactose intolerant, plus I grew up on it. Goat milk is close genetically to breast milk. You say dont use dairy, but would you know how this would affect the nutrient levels? Thanks for the vid!!!

      Hope you replaced the soy milk with another plant-based milk. If you are worried about phyto-estrogens (aka plant estrogens), you should be damn worried about the naturally-occurring estrogen (aka animal estrogen) in cow's milk, plus the added bovine growth hormones, IGF-1, cholesterol, sat. fats, antibiotics, etc ...
