Hi Dan, We are Jolly Thinkers from Hong Kong! The game was designed by Tobey Ho from China few years ago. The game was very popular in China but the printing quality of the previous few chinese versions was terrible. So we got the license from the original publisher and worked with Grey Fox Games for this international version. Thanks for your review!
Looking forward to this game! Great point about the murderer not having to actually lie. That does make it a lot less stressful than Resistance, One Night, etc. Also, maybe you could punctuate the jam by "stamping" the word "Keeper" (or something) at the end of the video in lieu of the jam explanation.
Awesome man what a good jam . Really appreicate the saxophone jam.
Nice. Backed this on KS, though almost missed it with the name change. I'm looking forward to it when it arrives sometime later this year. I'm also a fan of the murderer not having to lie to play the game - that makes it a lot better for play in my typical groups.
Love Geek Boy reviews, and I waiting for this to be shipped... have yet to play my copy of Mysterium... but also stopping buying games... till I play on the games I bought... yup
Dan, Deception looks like a great game. Do you have a list on your web sites for all games currently in your collection? Thanks.
Looks like a really great Gray Wolfs game!
Awesome video, Im definitely going to add this one to my collection :)
Great!
Backed it. Waiting for it. Will love it.
+ProcrastinatinZombie Same here! Come on December!
Can anyone help me to explain some words? cause English not my first language. In scene tiles I didn't understand these tiles (General Impression) ( In Progress). Thank you
Nice jam
Awesome "exclamation point" at the end. 😀
Thanks Jesse!
As a saxophonist and school band director, I highly approve.
so this over Mysterium?
+LookWhosBlogging That's a tough one. I don't keep that many games anymore but I am keeping both of them even though they have similar mechanics. Mostly because co-op vs team based. Also time. One is 15 min, the other 45. One is easier for new people due to co-op, one has deception. SO even though both are quite similar, they are also different enough to own both!
Play that jam!
Feeling the jam.
Nice Tim!
I bought CS Files at Essen - thinking I was getting the new version. Does anyone know if they are exactly the same or if there are differences?
Same game play, but I believe the components and art work was redone for the Deception version.
+TheGameBoyGeek - Hi Quality Hi Energy Board Game Reviews Thanks for the answer. A bit weird that they would sell an "outdated" copy at Essen but oh well...
+Matthew Laing they are two different publishers. The deception version isn't out yet but should be in a few weeks. The original publisher was probably still selling their version there.
+TheGameBoyGeek - Hi Quality Hi Energy Board Game Reviews I understand. The fun world of board game publishing. Thanks for the great reviews!
+Matthew Laing If you bought the CS-Files this year in Essen, it should be exactly the same as Deception. The only differences are the names and the color of the bullets. Thanks for your support. I hope that you love the game
cards need to be bigger since they can be so far apart on the table.
That would be cool but with higher player counts, table space already can become an issue , and it would almost be non playable with larger cards.
Mysterium meets Concept
Investergators ;)
Kinda sadden me that he said the game came from Japan...it's from Jolly Thinkers...from Hong Kong...
werewolves of miller hollow is better.
