Yeah for Tekken 4 Kazuya's remains were found and the lab at G corp decided to take him in and revive him with his Devil Gene, which is why he's all scarred up
Fun fact about the CPU in Tekken 6-7. I know TTT2 used to pull Ghost Data from the servers and had you play against Ghosts that represented actual players + VF4 and VF5's Kumite/Quest Mode actually had the AI opponents be based on real players, to where the highest ranked characters were folks like Chibata, Ohsu Akira, Bunbunmaru, etc.
24:03 the names came from the original arcades that the Tekken 5 arcade version was played on, they just ripped a bunch of ghost names from the arcade machines and put them in the disc.
Tekken 3 will always hold a special place in my heart because it’s the first fighting game I remember playing as a kid, my oldest brother put me onto it and as a kid alongside the first Mortal Kombat. The no voice dialogue gave it kind of a creepy/mysterious vibe especially both Jin and Hwoarang’s arcade endings, they always both intrigued and creeped me out as a kid seeing Devil Jin
This made me go download an emulator to play Tekken 3 again. It's my first gaming memory. My dad used to be a gamer back in the 90s, so when my parents split in '98, he started letting me watch, and eventually play with him. I can't even imagine seeing a 3 year old playing a 2D fighter but he probably needed the wins. Didn't take me too long to actually get better than him though, and that's when he didn't want to play with me anymore and started grabbing single-players instead. Great memories. It also made me tech-savvy as heck, so kudos to him.
The tekken 5 intro starts from the Jins ending in tekken 4 because you can see the hole in the roof with feathers floating around from devil Jin. Hwoarangs ending was my favorite with the music and devil jins intimidating walk. All the humor endings like Lee, Law, Paul and Panda/Kuma are also fun.

Yeah, I started doing that in part 2 after a few people suggested that. It's honestly a good idea and I should've been doing it the whole time. Thanks! :)

Oh man, I was here waiting for you to talk about the Tekken Ball mode in Tekken 3 but it's not in the video... :( That mode was so freaking fun, the fact that you could play volleyball in Tekken was just... amazing.
Tekken Card Tournament did come back, as a mobile game. Unfortunately it didn't last very long but it had physical cards you could buy for it to add into the game or play in person. I miss it dearly.
You don't need to be able to Korean backdash to understand the backwards movement and how to use it to make this video. It's really awesome to see new players taking a dive on the series , specially on the entertainment side of the games. Cool video !
I liked watching this. I grew up playing fighting games on the PS2 (specifically Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Soulcalibur 3) and I only played Tekken three times on the PS2 and a LOT of times on arcades. In fact, Tekken is one of the most popular arcade fighting games in Greece.
This video gave me nice bits of nostalgia! Tekken was a big part of my childhood. Did you play these in each of their consoles? How did you get them all and played?
Great video Niosai ^^ ! Just found out about your channel and im loving every minute of it If it's possible, I'd love to see you tackle the Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct series
Tekken 5 was my first Tekken game and I absolutely love it. I remember playing it with my dad when I was very young, and seeing gameplay of 5 and comparing it to 7, kinda hits me with a sense of "damn, I'm starting to get old", and I'm not sure how to feel about that lmao

I love this video. Thanks for posting it. I grew up with Tekken and it is an all time fav of mine. I think Tekken Tag Tournament is my favorite. I always liked playing that one.
I love Tekken 4. it was my first Tekken ever, and it still feels rare. It misses all these extraordinary Characters like Jack, Devil, Devil Jin ... It feels more "realistic". The Environment is real, it isn't just Background you are really there. This Tekken has many things, that are only in Tekken 4. I always wonder why Tekken 4 is so different. Also the Health Bars are really different in Style compared to any other Tekken Game.
tbh, my favourite Tekken is Tekken 5. It's probably because I have too much nostalgia for it because it was one of the first games I ever played. I still couldn't beat the Devil Within tho 🤣
It still fascinates me how a cross between two of the greatest IPs in fighting games didn't work.Bandai namco even cancelled tekken x street fighter which was in development for quite a while. Also Akuma being in T7 pretty much confirms that the tekken and SF universe are interlinked somehow.(I don't know exactly how, possibly the multiverse). So there is a high possibility some tekken guest characters might come in SF6
Btw for those that don't know, u need to know that hiyachi threw kazuya off a cliff as a kid, kazuyas story where has him throw he's dad off a cliff hahah, revenge and that smile hahahaha
There's no shame to begin by the 5th, pal (maybe you're young?). That was a great episode, and the last episode I enjoyed, at least you started with a real old school game. I don't know what Tekken is my favourite one, but I know it's on PS3 ( three posibilities)
@@jabba969 ah, I'm 28 too, but beginning by Tekken 5 on PS2....that felt strange, for me! 😊 Depends on how you liked the Playstation, or how you heard about Tekken, or maybe how tou decided "this morning, I gonna start a Tekken game!" But that's great
I really enjoyed watching your video as a Tekken fan myself, and even I had never heard of Death by Degrees before watching this! Definitely subbed! 👍😎😄
The Kazuya Tekken 1 ending may very well be the best fighting game ending may be the best way to start off any fighting game storyline ever. That smirk... What could make a man happier?
I still remember my first time playing Tekken. It was Tekken 3 at my local rollerblading rink in my hometown. I was only 6 and got hurt rollerblading. My dad was worried and brought me off the floor but that was when I saw the arcade cabinet and was blown away by it. My dad brought over a chair for me to stand on cause I was too short. He gave me $3 for me to play I remember my first character was King. I got pretty far, even got my name on the score screen. My dad later bought me the PS1 game for my 8th birthday and I've been a Tekken fan even into my 30s.
Great video, just noting that you forgot to talk about Tekken 3 secrets, it have a gallery mode for videos like TTT and have a Tekken Ball game, which is a neat Volleyball game with power ups. Also, each time you finish the arcade mode with any different character you unlock a new one, and there even some custom skins to unlock, and some characters have alternative endings too. Is the best Tekken in content and fun.
Tekken 5 is my most favorite just because of the devil within mode I've played that game mode so many times I probably played it even more than the base Tech and 5 game itself I absolutely love The devil within mode I just wish they brought it back.
the thing you called a cutscene at the start of Death By Degrees is actually known as an Attract Mode. its what they would put in games so that when kids were walking around the arcades, they would see these attract modes and see what the gameplay was like. i love death by degrees. i dont have a box for mine anymore and lost t years ago, but still have the game and instruction manual. its hard to master but actually good when you do.
#4 & 5 definitely the most goated games of the series, from soundtrack to graphics and story. Very privileged to have been raised in arcades and having a PS2
Tekken Tag Tournament was my very first Tekken. Such an amazing game it was. I remember my favourite characters being Kunimitsu & Bruce. Then Tekken 5 on PS2 & PSP, Tekken 6 PSP, Tekken 7. I missed out on Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for not having had a PS3 or 360 💀
I started with tekken 5 so long fucking time ago. I remember that for a whole summer my scedule was waking up> power on my ps2> play tekken 5> sleep. I played the shit out of Asuka and Steve Fox. I even bought Asuka third alternative costume. Also Tekken 5 was the game made me start martial arts. You don't need to be able to Korean backdash to understand the backwards movement and how to use it to make this video. It's really awesome to see new players taking a dive on the series , specially on the entertainment side of the games. Cool video !
Ah yes, "Gene", my favorite Tekken character XD
I liked watching this. I grew up playing fighting games on the PS2 (specifically Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Soulcalibur 3) and I only played Tekken three times on the PS2 and a LOT of times on arcades. In fact, Tekken is one of the most popular arcade fighting games in Greece.
This video gave me nice bits of nostalgia! Tekken was a big part of my childhood. Did you play these in each of their consoles? How did you get them all and played?
Tekken 5 will always have a special place in my heart
Great video Niosai ^^ !
Just found out about your channel and im loving every minute of it
If it's possible, I'd love to see you tackle the Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct series
@order-sol's last brain cell That's true, you make a good point tho
Tekken 5 was my first Tekken game and I absolutely love it. I remember playing it with my dad when I was very young, and seeing gameplay of 5 and comparing it to 7, kinda hits me with a sense of "damn, I'm starting to get old", and I'm not sure how to feel about that lmao
Just found out your channel, the video is amazing man! Really love how you critic every aspect of every game! Keep it up! Cheers! 🤘
I know everyone shits on tag 2 but man is my favourite in the series.and i know pros complained about it being unballanced, but for me as an casual fighting game player and a big tekken fan this is a superb game: huge rooster, fun gameplay,music,stages...everything is just superb!
Tekken 3 is my favorite one on the series
Tekken 4 almost felt like an experimental game that they then refined for 5. It did some pretty different stuff!
@@Niosai yeah exactly... This made it feel akward when this was your first Tekken Game.
@@AlryFireBlade it's storytelling and character development is 🔥
Tekken 4 was the Tekken game i played the least!
@@GenyaArikado That's sad :(
The intro cutscene is so smooth and so well done, this series imo is the best
Consistently good content
Played and beaten even Tekken game myself. Love the franchise to this day and patiently waiting for Tekken 8
Bro
Katsuhiro Harada tweeted this video out
Congrats!
I'm still in shock!
I was always a Soul Calibur kid too! I grew up on Soul Calibur 2 and 3. In fact, 2 was my first game ever. Glad to see that other people relate.
tbh, my favourite Tekken is Tekken 5. It's probably because I have too much nostalgia for it because it was one of the first games I ever played. I still couldn't beat the Devil Within tho 🤣
I started off with Tekken 5 good times.
@Tekken Theatre I had him unlocked tho. I'm pretty sure u unlock him by beating the story mode as Jin
Tekken ball and tekken bowl were actually some of the most fun modes in the whole series, great memories with friends playing those
Tekken 5: Dark resurrection still has the best intro in the series and you cannot tell me otherwise
16:35 I never knew that you could play as the patriots in Tekken. Amazing ♥️
Harada tweeted this
The devil within mode actually feel fresh. They should remake that game into action rpg.
Tekken 4 is my personal favorite because of all cut scenes through each character is well received and got better.
Violet was actually released in takken two but you had to push the select button over Lee to acquire him
Btw for those that don't know, u need to know that hiyachi threw kazuya off a cliff as a kid, kazuyas story where has him throw he's dad off a cliff hahah, revenge and that smile hahahaha
I started with Tekken 5. Still the only Tekken I really played but I still feel a love for the game and franchise thanks to that entry.
There's no shame to begin by the 5th, pal (maybe you're young?). That was a great episode, and the last episode I enjoyed, at least you started with a real old school game. I don't know what Tekken is my favourite one, but I know it's on PS3 ( three posibilities)
@@dezede591 Depends on what you call young. I wouldn't call 28 years old young in the gaming world, but when it comes to fighting games perhaps it is.
@@jabba969 ah, I'm 28 too, but beginning by Tekken 5 on PS2....that felt strange, for me! 😊 Depends on how you liked the Playstation, or how you heard about Tekken, or maybe how tou decided "this morning, I gonna start a Tekken game!"
But that's great
Tekken 3's intro was a dope for the time and still has a solid atmosphere.
Back at it again with them Fighting Games, let's goooooooo
Tekken 2 still the most iconic to me , that intro still badass till this day
Very good video. Well edited, interesting and covers the Tekken games real nicely. Great job bro keep up the work 👍
Been waiting for this one
I really enjoyed watching your video as a Tekken fan myself, and even I had never heard of Death by Degrees before watching this!
Definitely subbed! 👍😎😄
Thanks! I definitely want to revisit Death By Degrees sometime because it's just so weird lol
The Kazuya Tekken 1 ending may very well be the best fighting game ending may be the best way to start off any fighting game storyline ever. That smirk... What could make a man happier?
That goofy smile is one of the most iconic things I remember from any of these games lmao
Wow I had no idea Death by Degrees even existed. It actually looks awesome
Trike no 3 was my fave. Loved playing against friends on the weekends in the summer time
soon as i saw the soul caliber video i was waiting for this video let’s go
Great video, just noting that you forgot to talk about Tekken 3 secrets, it have a gallery mode for videos like TTT and have a Tekken Ball game, which is a neat Volleyball game with power ups. Also, each time you finish the arcade mode with any different character you unlock a new one, and there even some custom skins to unlock, and some characters have alternative endings too. Is the best Tekken in content and fun.
Such a fabulous upload, great job ✨
my support is here and have a nice day ✨👍
Tekken 2 is the first one I played with my cousins and man it’s probably one of my favorites because of that
I'm calling Marduk, Mar-Duke from now on.
Tekken 5 is my most favorite just because of the devil within mode I've played that game mode so many times I probably played it even more than the base Tech and 5 game itself I absolutely love The devil within mode I just wish they brought it back.
Really glad this came up in my recommendation, keep up the great work!
the thing you called a cutscene at the start of Death By Degrees is actually known as an Attract Mode. its what they would put in games so that when kids were walking around the arcades, they would see these attract modes and see what the gameplay was like. i love death by degrees. i dont have a box for mine anymore and lost t years ago, but still have the game and instruction manual. its hard to master but actually good when you do.
I missed out on Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for not having had a PS3 or 360 💀
Thanks for giving Tekken 4 the credit it deserves. It's the best game in the series along with 5.
My man really called Jin Kazama, Gene for the whole duration of this video
Part 2 explains why lmao
pls thats the correct pronounciation lmaoooo can anglos stop enforcing their phonology on other languages?
I started with tekken 5 so long fucking time ago. I remember that for a whole summer my scedule was waking up> power on my ps2> play tekken 5> sleep. I played the shit out of Asuka and Steve Fox. I even bought Asuka third alternative costume. Also Tekken 5 was the game made me start martial arts. (especially kickboxing and Muay thai) so tekken 5 is the best and for me will be the best fighting game
Same.
Growing up, was good.
I loved to play galaga at tekken 1
This series was a big part if my childhood
I hope tekken 8 will be back to the roots
