Lovely Voldemort! I bought a prosthetic for my Voldie for a convention and it was the first time doing a full face prosthetic. My friend who's going to school soon for FX helped me put it on. It was a lot of fun walking around with no one recognizing me or even knowing I was a girl.I got heat stroke by the end of the day(Full face prosthetics during a heat wave not a good idea for many reasons) and had to sit down in the hallway during closing ceremonies and remove my prosthetics. It was quite amusing when three strangers watched me take it off and screamed in Unison "YOUR A GIRL!?" Once they saw my real face XD. I also had a free awkward hugs sign(A very potter musical reference). It was a lot of fun. A lot of the techniques you used here actually gave me ideas for future cosplays I want to make. Ive definitely developed the prosthetic bug and want to try my hand at making my own. I love how I can morph my features to look completely different.
Or you can try to cut the latex around your ear, eventually cut it and turn your Voldemort cosplay into a George cosplay ;)

You can't fake his nose with make up, cause that's done with editing. While filming the movie, he just had a human nose.

something I've found very useful for blending cream make up on top of latex is to apply castor oil to it first, it helps make it transition from latex to skin better. that being said you used a hood, so in this instance the oil probably wasn't needed at all. and the mask is a great idea for prosthetics! I use a plaster cast of my face, but a mask is so much cheaper. Great vid! keep it up!
if you use lotion when applying the scar wax it will help smooth it's and blend it to fill in the little cracks and holes

A tip for blending nose and scar wax to get a smoother finish is to apply vaseline to your fingers. It will keep the wax from sticking to your fingers and if applied sparingly should not prevent other types of makeup from sticking to it. Just a tip. Great Makeup!

To get a completely smooth look with the nose and scar wax, take baby oil and slather your fingers in it. This will cut all the stickiness and help to blend out all the edges! Just make sure to remove the baby oil with alcohol after if you plan on sealing it with latex.
Amazing. I can't find other words. Almost everytime i watch one of your videos, i'm really amazed. Wish i would be good at something like you in make-up/creating masks etc. (don't know what is is calles correctly). Great!

i've seen a lot of ways to do this effect, but this is by far one of the fastest and simplest ways. i'm not quite so pissy about doing the voldy makeup at community theater.

Hey Klaire! First off, I just wanted to tell you that you are a HUGE inspiration and I've seen all of your videos and such. I have a question, I'm going to do Alien makeup for Halloween (it's a long way off, I know) inspired from your alien tutorial, I'm going to do it differently but you gave me the idea! Any who, I'm wanting to use a bald cap, I don't really feel like making one though. I was going to use the site that you have in the description for the spirit glue, seeing as I need some of that too, but the problem is it used euros and I'm in america...so I don't know the price I'll be paying or if I even can...do you know any other sites I can use? Or do you know if I can still use that one? Please and thank you! ^^

if you have problems with the wax you might wanna heat it up a little bit with a fan or put it in some hot water before use. this will help you smooth the edges out a lot.

You can use Vaseline to blend out the scar wax, and if you put lotion on you hands then you can mold it pretty well, but the bond off seems to work just fine. :)

i tried doing this for halloween but i failed miserably and i didnt know how to take it off so i justt went like that for trick or treating and everybody was scared off me! thats what haloween is all about anyway ?! lol!

A good trick for the scar wax is to use hand lotion to smooth it
The easiest way to smooth out nose and scar wax is to use petroleum jelly (Vaseline). That way you can use your fingers to smooth it out or a spatula.... if you do use Vaseline, it will leave a shine which is easy to remove with a tissue :)
So many negative comments, of course its not exactly the same as Voldemort from the films that was created using fully sculpted/moulded/cast prosthetics with some VFX. Klaire has provided an easy cheap method for people to have a go at. I get the feeling that for some people, however she did it wouldn't have been good enough, you'd be moaning if she was telling you to use foam latex or multipiece silicone, if you don't like it you are entitled to do your own version
