The judges have too much freedom in their roles. They need to be limited on how they give their judgements by being provided with a set of clear rules, guidelines and criteria on when to reject or buzz an act so that they give an unbiased, fair and objective judgement instead of this Ridiculous judgement in which the judges can give judgement based on their subjective opinions or momentary emotional reactions!!

You should see some of the robots UA-camr James Bruton works on - and both of them are just tip of the iceberg of what exists in the robotics space; trust me, you haven’t seen anything yet haha

This “human like robot” just has 4 beams each with 1 degree of freedom controlled by a motor, attached to a self-balancing box with PID control (which Bruton implements in a lot of his projects). As an engineer myself, I find many of Bruton’s projects to be more advanced. Watch some of his robot dog videos - far more impressive mechanical systems/articulations with more advanced control schemes too.
Exactly, comparing him to trying to put her kids stroller together is an insult. The man has more brains in his little toe than Heidi has in her entire body. You don't have to enjoy it to understand that what he did was extremely difficult in terms of making and programming that robot.

This is one of those very few ways engineers can be in the show. As a roboticist I can see how hard it can be make something like this, so yeah, he’s got talent(considering he made this), and what other way is there to show off that on the got talent show? Atleast he made it entertaining. The point here’s not the dance, which might took only 10% of the effort compared to making such a sophisticated machine.
its not about the performance, but the time and brain cells to create and program that robot to perform is on a different level only a small percentage of humanity can think of that deserves more than the applause of an AGT stage..
This is what unique talent is. Not a bunch of dancers who have been doing the stuff for ages. They have their own dance platforms and shows for that. This show should be about uniqueness. So this is an instant golden buzzer for me.

Being a software developer with 20+ years of coding experience I would never take that chance of dancing with a robot because so many things can go wrong although it was not just the programming but a fine product of mechatronics combined with creativity and entertainment , I salute this guy, he is a genius
