To really understand how this dude won is not looking at the stage - but at the crowd. I work as a wedding DJ, and I can say... the man has a talent to entertain people. So simple show, yet so well done. Its what it called to work with emotions.
The fact that he didn’t play to juries and instead to the crowd and the originality of the act made him win the competition. That’s really so clever. I’m glad he won😂
'My name is Viggo Venn, which means my mother is Norwegian and my father is a diagram'. Simplistic perfection. This guy is very much a sort of happy-go-lucky, physical performance kind of comedian that's been missing for a while (RIP Robin Williams). He uses both his looks and energy to encourage the silliness of his act from start to finish and I"m not surprised he won the whole gambit by being the silliest man in England.
i just love viggo.i watch him on youtube on a regular ongoing basis... anytiime i need a laugh or a lift he is great medicine. a total HOOT. also, after seeing his act just a couple of times, i decided that in his real daily life, out of costume i mean, that boy is a total hunny! i mean he's really a gorgeous young man. i'm 64, not dead. that funny viggo guy is a total babe.
How he reacted to the OTHER acts being sent home was always so incredibly heartwarming. He was literally going to walk off stage with 1 of them because he totally forgot he was still in the competition. He’s funny but he’s also so incredibly sincere and thoughtful. He deserved this win. He’s freakin hilarious and we need more of that in this world.
Viggo's act is the craziest, silliest, most enthusiastic, most bonkers thing I have ever seen....and I absolutely LOVE it!!! He is nuts and hilarious and so very likeable! From the bewilderment of the crowd, to Amanda's laugh, to Simon's initial exasperation, and ultimately the payoff at the end....all of it was fantastic!! 🦺

He‘s Norwegian and said he has a language barrier but Imma be honest, his pure energy and the joy he spreads is a rare talent that everyone on the world understands. I smiled the whole time during his perfomance and he captured the hearts of many more!
I just can't believe he won the BGT. He actually either confused or convinced the people and the judges with something special. His originality is truly unbelievable. Do anything you like but with a full heart. He is funny and entertaining. Love this guy ❤..
I thought the same thing!! I feel like this is an odd/unique year for both AGT and BGT. Viggo Venn won BGT, and Adrian Stoica and his dog Hurricane won AGT. More often than not it's a combination of singers, dance acts, or acrobatics/stunts (or the occasional standup comedian). This year was just.... different. I was VERY surprised. Still.... I can't say I'm mad about either of them winning. Viggo is absolutely hilarious, and Hurricane is a very talented and adorable little pup.

plot twist: if it wasn´t for the judges Lillianna wouldn´t have made it to the finals (where she definitely belonged) ! So she was thrilled to perform there and end up in the top 3 acts. Hence: no time for disappointment.
Imagine practicing your hours every day for years only to lose to ac guy who just dances around and acts goofy. I mean ya I laughed but there was some amazing talent that must be a bit jaded.
At first I didnt understand why he won. I only have seen his audition. It was super funny, no doubt. But nonetheless I was surprised to found out that he won! Then I watched this video and it clicked.. I sat here in my chair and couldnt hold myself together. Moving around to his movements and the "one more time" track. Smiling the whole time until my eyes teared up. His performance made me so damn happy and I think something the world needs right now. Happiness and laughter.
I couldn't care less about this show and I accidentally stumbled on this video. This guy made me smile the entire time with his confidence, energy and originality. Deserved winner!
You can still watch a comedy movie, but dancing with one more time music and change jacket I don't call that talent as EVERYONE CAN DO THE SAME !!! LOL But Magic like Cillian O Connor , Can You ? Sure you can dance and sign One more time but do these trick ? Hum so who really got TALENT ? Think about it, We can do it, No talent haha
@@sergesam5284If it's so easy then do it yourself. For the audition, try it to your families or friends when they have fun event. Then you will realize it eventually.
I am a very serious kind of person and I don't laugh often but THIS guy had me laughing so hard that I still have chest pain 20 minutes later. It was THE most ridiculous, stupid and wonderfully entertaining thing I've seen in a VERY long time. We all need to laugh and his gift is to bring joy to all .I'm glad he won!
I was shocked to see he won. I just stumbled across his audition in a compilation and thought "oh hes funny but probably wont make it far." After watching the rest and reading about how hes a classically trained clown it makes WAY more sense. I think old school clowning like he does is one of those things that, when you're really good at it like he is, people have no idea that its even a skill or an act because it comes off so naturally. Someone in the comments compaired him to Charlie Chaplin and I totally agree. Its a very simple form of comedy that is timeless and appeals to a wide audience. Its nice to see someone bringing it back into the spotlight.
That man knows how to hold a crowd in the palm of his hand. The amount of control he has about what’s happening on stage and off, is amazing… and the whole time he is just spreading incredible contagious joy while concealing how much planning, effort and work went into it all.
He makes my autistic nephew so happy! Nephew saved his pocket money to buy hi viz jackets to do a performance to us like this 😂 we are going to see Vv this year as a surprise for him ❤
I’m honestly curious, why do people with autistic children always say autistic? Wouldn’t a “he makes my nephew so happy” be better? He’s a person just like me and the other billion people on this earth. If my mother said “hey this is my bipolar & adhd son” every time I met someone it would make me feel like less of a person. Just my opinion though
@@BubeeHandles because it's different, we're different. my experience as an autistic person enjoying something is different to the experience of a neurotypical person enjoying something (Neither is better, but they are different experiences). Autism is like a bubble around you and a filter for all ypur senses and all of your life and how you experience, that's why you tend to see people prefacing when they are autistic or when someone they know is autistic , because it changes everything and we're not in the majority so our experience isn't the standard one. Same way that you might mention a couple you're referring to is gay, because that's also the minority and neither is correct but it is different whilst not being the default. On the other hand, people speaking on behalf of someone else who is autistic sometimes does flaunt the label about to make themselves look better or because they have some sort of self sacrificing complex (this is where the term "autism mothers" comes from), though that's thankfully the minority and I'd say they're quite likely to be very obvious to most people online as they have that sort of show-off type "look at how nice I am" energy
His first performance caught me completely off guard, I was laughing hysterically. The fact he eventually won over Simon killed me too. This dude knows how to win over a crowd.
I'm always mindblown when I see a talented human who can sing, dance, act, or whatever on an incredible level. But I forgot, that the biggest talent is to win the crowd, spread happiness and joy and to let people forget all the dark things in their life for a while. Deserved win.
I love how all of his performances are created like a story line, a story about the beginning of a friendship. He is an amazing entertainer, he made the crowd so in love with him, it's truly amazing. He has a pure vibe, just having fun, we need more people like him. And to all sceptics, this is a talent, believe it or not. He won Simon's heart on his way to the finals, along with everyone else. Well deserved Victory in my opinion 🎉
Originally when I heard Viggo won, I was honestly a little surprised and disappointed considering the incredible talent of some of the other contestants. Yet every time I rewatch Viggo I think he's more genius each time and I can't stop smiling. It really makes you forget about everything and just enjoy the moment and be happy. My other top favourites were Malakai Bayoh (beeeautiful) and Avantgardey
There isn’t anything “genius” about his brand of comedy it’s bland and simplistic, I truly don’t get it but then again I watched up watching things like Ali G and Mr.Bean
The way he goes to each of the judges with the mic and then instantly makes jokes about their attempts is one of the best comedy bits ive ever seen. Its like modern prop work and music and comedy and judge interactions, just soooooooooo perfect.
In that but you could tell it was so naturally for him where the creativity and confidence just ouzed out of him. And at the end he's shared 'I could do this all night'

He had me genuinely laughing out loud like 8 times throughout this video! The trick here was the fact that it just kept going! There was always another high vis vest on top of another shirt on top of another high vis vest... and it never looked like he was even wearing that much layers from the start, so you go from amused to entertained to bored of the concept to utter disbelief at how many times he takes a layer off... and he's still only half way there so you just end up in a state of like catatonic joyous belly laughter at the sheer ridiculousness of it all! Brilliant act Vigo, well done!
A true legend. I understand why some are upset that he won since he doesn’t have your typical talent (singer, dancer, comedian etc), but he’s a family friendly (no jokes at the expense of others/offensive) legend who won the heart of the U.K. Totally deserved his win. Thanks for the laughs Viggo, hope to see him with his own show soon!!
He's already been doing the club scene for years (improv etc.), so now he can take his material to the next level. This is the sort of act that will have legs for years to come. The other acts would be hard pressed to keep a sustainable career going on talent alone, although I hope Cilian keeps going as he has years ahead to become a known magician.
It is absolute garbage. Show started when people were laughing at idiots, now idiots winning the show and everyone is happy, tells a lot about degradation of public 😂
The part where he improvised the eminem song voices of the refs into the song and added his on point hilarious gesture acting is actually only possible with great music & comedic talent. Don't underestimate him.
I don't care what anyone says! I needed this. I have been suffering with Long Covid for over two years (it's worse than you probably think. Look it up) and this kind of randomness is exactly what I need!
He has the energy of Robin Williams, the bizarreness of Andy Kaufman and the universality of Charlie Chaplin. Oh and throw in Roberto Benigni’s legendary 1999 Oscar win for good measure. That’s pretty awesome company Viggo! Pure joy.
🎉Viggo Venn has set the record for being the first to win in the Got Talent franchise after being buzzed by Simon Cowell at his audition, making it to the finals & winning the heart of Simon! ❤ I’ve been watching BGT&AGT since 2012 & I know that this is NOT an easy task at all! And I think the respect for all workers who wear the Hi-Vis vest might have contributed to the public votes as well! I’m happy for Viggo, although, my heart also goes out to the Ghetto kids, Musa Motha & Malakai Bayoh as well… I hope they all do well in life!🎉💕😎👼
He is hands down one of the best entertainers I’ve ever seen on the show. It shows that you don’t have to be elaborate and complex. He uses what is simple and does really REALLY well. It puts a smile on many faces and stirs positive, humorous emotions. Well done sir.
This is one of the more bizarre Andy Kaufman-esque performances but charisma goes a long way to winning crowd support. Don't think there's anyone else who could've pulled this off except this guy.
The fact that his performances are just so fresh and original, yet also feeling so simple. But then it goes on until he puts a smile on everyone’s face just speaks volumes about his talent as a performer. It may not be the most death defying stunt or an amazing singer, but it’s just pure unbridled joy and it’s highly infectious! I mean hey… he went from getting a red buzzer from Simon to getting him COMPLETELY on board with his acts, if you can get Simon to laugh like a child, you know you’ve got everyone in the room doing the same thing! I just can’t wait to see him ONE MORE TIME!
@@lassila3 it was FUN! If it didn’t make you crack a smile at least once, you’re a pessimist 😂 I’ll back this to the hilt, Venn’s got talent! He may not be talented at performing incredible singing or dancing or a fancy magic act or anything like that, but he got a whole crowd of thousands on their feet begging for more with his acts. He has a talent for making people feel pure JOY, and that’s what we needed most after the pandemic lockdown situation, he read the room perfectly every time!
Wow. Gotta admit, seeing his audition, I never expected him to win, let alone go to the next round. That being said, I can see the value of his act. I think we, as humans, can take life (and ourselves) wayyyy too seriously. His act lightens the load. It's just pure silliness. And there's definitely a need for that, to just be silly sometimes. Cause otherwise life can start to feel too heavy. And he does have talent. He knows how to work the crowd and bring a lot of energy. He's quite witty and can think fast on his feet to keep things fun and entertaining. And lastly, despite his crazy Einstein hair, he's quite handsome. I think so anyway.. he reminds me of a crush I had from high school 😆
I don’t think I’ve ever commented on a video in my life but this actually brought tears to my eyes, his energy and playfulness reminded me of a piece of myself that I have seemingly lost. He represents the inner child within us all
You look at the 3 performances, and that's the life story of Simon, see how much he opened up lol From wanting him off, then reluctantly participating, then enjoying.
Anyone in doubt of his talent, it’s the ability to win a crowed and keep them smiling, engaged and entertained. He proved it, by doing basically nothing - yet still getting the entire crowed to their feet.
I don't see your point. Children's entertainers win crowds while being a fool too. It's called charisma and it's a trait, not a talent. That's when you got confused. "Winning the crowd" does not give you an exemption from showing an actual talent, which is essentially what the show is for.
@@gichingamwaka6172It's not merely a trait. Yes some people have to put way less effort into being charismatic, but being charismatic enough to win over an entire competition like that takes a lot of work and preparation. For comedians, actors, and most entertainers, charisma is a skill that they have to practice constantly or else their performances will fall apart.
@Kiwi-fl8te but it literally is. By definition. Just like in individual sports, a charismatic sportsman will pull the crowd towards his side, albeit his talent would apply to his sport. Charisma is an important attribute when working with crowds but it's never the main substance. Just like launching a tech startup takes large amounts of initiative, even though the talent of founder would apply to his field.
Anybody who makes everybody dance and laugh and have joy is an artist. Sometimes simplicity is called for. Triumph of the absurd happens. Go Viggo !!! What a talent. The people spoke.

Got to admit, he had me in stitches from the first audition, through to the final. Think his Semi final was his best piece of work - but it was how he built his act though the rounds which was brilliant. And for all those haters saying it’s just a guy in a high Vis vest - the guy is a trained clown and professional comedian. It really takes a lot of talent, skill, practice and time to make something so simple work so flawlessly and he had the crowd and judges in the palm of his hand during every performance. Yes he beat some talented kids, who will no doubt have a future performing. But you can’t deny this guys talent and ability. Well deserved winner in my opinion 👌👏👏👏👏👏

Wow!! Viva Viggo! Looked him up on a whim and he's no slouch or gimmick comedian. He has worked hard touring the world to build a name. He's now 34, stands 6'8", and has a drop-dead gorgeous partner who is also a comedienne. They have been together for at least 6 years and now live in London. He's actually a very handsome man when he's dressed up for a night out...or on stage like this! During the pandemic, he and his partner, Julia rode around the streets of London in an open carriage and entertained people in their flats with a pots and pans symphony. They are truly beautiful people. His father is named Bjorn and is over the moon about Viggo's win...as well as all of Norway. Viggo started studying economics and decided being a comedian would be more fitting to his life. Julia is from Estonia. Viggo trained at some prestigious schools for theater, one in France that is known worldwide. He has a long career ahead of him...and apparently so does Julia. They have a UA-cam channel with short clips between gigs. The best of luck to both of them! She was in the audience when he won!! All of that is in various articles on the internet as people want to know more about him.
This guy...the energy, the physical performance...he singlehandedly started a new sensation for wearing yellow workers stuff. That is true genius level entertainment and crowd work at its best.
As I'm living in the Netherlands, I haven't followed BGT '23 at all, so when this showed up, I decided to watch this when reading "Britain's Got Talent 2023 WINNER Viggo Venn". After watching this for about 3 minutes, at first I couldn't believe at all this has won BGT. My first thoughts were"what a BS". But when I watched it a bit longer, I got the vibe, and started to appreciate and enjoy what a great and entertaining act this was, and how much joy and happiness he gave the audience. All in all, I really understand now why he won BGT: really an amazing guy, this was brilliant in all it's simplicity, and that's imo the most difficult thing to accomplish.. Most definitely a well deserved win for Viggo Venn.
I'm still where you were though, don't see the point. And not sure the point comes across well in video edits. But if the audience and judges thought it was good enough for the Queen, as they used to say while Liz was alive, well done!
@@germank7924 I think the key is watching Simon. Viggo brilliantly used the interpersonal dynamics in the room- the dynamics between him & the other judges, him & the audience, the other judges & Simon, the audience & Simon, and most importantly him & Simon. That Viggo was able to disarm Simon- to cut through his gruff, sourpuss, seen-it-all act to get genuine reactions (his exasperated slump at 13:24!) - that is talent. To manage to get a celebrity whose reputation is built on being cynical, business minded & a spoil sport to cut loose and play is a massive talent- as anyone who's only tried to get reluctant guests on a dance floor at a wedding can attest
At first I was having the same feeling like Simon. It took me awhile to understand his act but have to admit he did make me laugh and at times Simon did too. How he reacted to the OTHER acts being sent home was always so incredibly heartwarming. I just think Britain's tastes in talent has reached an all time low.
Still.... Yeeeeeessssss! How did I not see this last year?

Saw him at Norwich, brilliant😂
Oh this made my day

@Kiwi-fl8te but it literally is. By definition. Just like in individual sports, a charismatic sportsman will pull the crowd towards his side, albeit his talent would apply to his sport. They have a UA-cam channel with short clips between gigs. The best of luck to both of them! She was in the audience when he won!!
He taught the whole world how to have fun in so many levels. Looked easy what he did but it takes skill and work and use a lot of energy to try to make everyone happy in a unique way. Whenever I feel sad, I will watch his talent many more times because laughter is good for one’s heart. 👏🏻 🎉
imagine coming in second place to this 😭
Exactly
He makes people laugh, that's enough.
I still think Lilliana should have won, but he did still deserve to be in the top 3. His act is original, and as stupid as it was it made people happier, it made people forget all the bs they go through in life. It's nice to have stuff like that.
Little girl is fuming you can see it in her face 💀💀💀
BGT used to be great with Susan Boyle and Paul Potts etc. Now it's trash thanks to the judges putting rubbish acts through in the auditions and ignoring real talent
One man's mission to bring high-vis vests into mainstream fashion - it's the birth of a wonderful new world... ❤
The most deserved winner ever for me.... He brought me out of depression..... Love him
(You were never depressed)
@@gichingamwaka6172 if you mean some bs about "if something like this 'cured your depression,' you were never depressed," then I hope you get the help you need. If you mean that as in you're trying to uplift this person, saying they only thought they were depressed but deep down, they weren't and they knew they were happy, then good effort.
@darknessdevours5827 what're you babbling about🤔
@@darknessdevours5827he is funny but not to the point where he brings someone out of deppression bro
Depression is not like sadness at all and alot of people struggle with it and are unable to treat it till it becomes chronic, sure we respect the person's opinion that he was super happy because of Viggo but I'm sorry, it's not possible for someone suffering from depression to just watch a video and magically get cured from it.
@@gichingamwaka6172
exactly!!
I hate when people think they have depression because they r extremely sad for a few days or weeks
It breaks my heart bc i have been suffering for years now and still am.
And to see everyone around me comparing themselves to me as if they had depression..like seriously most people are ignorant 😑💔
Absolutely, by far one of the most original & creative individuals to step foot on any of these types of stages. Genius!
He actually won?
That's ridiculously great 😂
Yes, because people is getting bored of the same. Look agt the singers from Brazil and Indonesia didn't go through and the doggie won
Love this guy whose still watching in Dec 2024 ?
