Oh my God, she's stabbed your favorite perfume ROJA ENIGMA. I like the real opinion, and this is her opinion. A wonderful guest and I am a fan of her perfumes
This video shows that there is a world of difference between what UA-cam Fragrance people think is good versus that of an actual perfumer who understands the technical side of things. And she made Nishane Ani
Indeed she can identify all the notes but at the end what is really important is what YOU think or love. People should wear what they like and not be influenced by other´s opinion.
@@Sinmya Yeah know them or not I personally may dislike her fragrance if i ever smelled it. I may LOVE it You never know. This is a rating video through Her opinion. She would probably excel in IDENTIFYING individual notes As a perfumer Shes amazing !!!! Bring her back Great video my friend.
Getting such an established creator to do this stuff on your channel is a trend I hope you continue, Chris. Great way for lovely and talented noses like Cecile to get appreciated by the public. Cool show today!
Cecile: "So again, I'm a bit surprised by the tobacco announcement" Chris: "I love Naxos because it is quite a rich tobacco fragrance" Real nose versus Fragrantica notes, checkmate ;) But it is all so subjective, great video Chris and congrats on getting Cecile on Your channel, also quite an intimidating experience for you judging from your burning ears but you managed to stay cool, she is a beautiful and very knowledgeable woman. Also it's great to see more and more real perfumers interacting with youtubers, the shift is here. And from all the fragrances mentioned here Oud Minerale is my fav ;)
I thought I was crazy, but I never get tobacco from Herod, Naxos or Enigma, I love the fragrances, but I agree with Cécile 100% Tobacco Oud smells like real tobacco and every time I wear it just makes me smile, Royal Crown Habanos another great real tobacco fragrance, even Jasmin et Cigarette smells like the real thing, anyway, thanks for a fantastic video Chris!!!
Cecile is smoking hot in a very classy way. I also really enjoyed her honest opinions coming from her unique perspective as an established professional in the industry. This was a great video Chris. Keep it up my man.
What she said about Tom Ford having a strong identity is spot on. Still my favorite house. That family DNA of the fragrances just works for me. It's hard to think of a Tom Ford fragrance I don't like or love.
She's great. A well trained perfumer picks things out that I totally miss. Ran back to smell my jazz club and there IS something very barbershoppy about it, in the composition of it. (I still get the booze and tobacco, but I totally get her point.) Things like names and packaging lead our minds to recognize certain notes which in the absence of names and packaging we may not leap to. Great that you could spend time with her, worth the trip, mate!
Congratulations Chris! You landed a good shot! Cecilia is one of the most talented noses in modern perfumery as well as being a woman of extraordinary class and beauty. Interesting but not surprising points of view given her past with Middle Eastern brands. I have to try Material ASAP!
Great to see a perfumer's opinion! The main gist of her impressions seems to consistenly not find much "tobacci-ness" in those alleged "tobacco" fragrances, something I do not find surprising. I'm not a perfumer of course, but I find myself often puzzled smelling some fragrances clustered into the "tobacco" category, when there seems to be hardly any actual tobacco in it (at least I can hardly catch any.) Or when there are so many other more prominent things going on, clearly way more important than tobacco in the fragrance profile, yet the fragrance is presented as one of the "tobacco" ones (Zara so called "tobacco" collection comes to mind, what a misnomer.) I think fragrances should rather be presented in some of the standard fragrance groups whichever apply, e.g. aromatic/fougere, gourmand, floral, oriental, etc., and not focus on a note, specially when it's really not very prominent or key in the overall drydown profile.
Great video Chris! Would love to see you do more videos with her where she describes some of your fave fragrances like this. She’s classy, smart, and knows her field well. Be well! 👍
Oh I love Herod so much, I started wearing it when I was 20 years old. Maybe people would say it is not a very suitable fragrance for a younger woman- at least on fragrantica, it is shown as a male perfume- but I think everybody can vear it and it is beautiful.
I believe that Parfums de Marly actually marketed Herod as a unisex fragrance. But anyway, always wear what you like. Like the perfume lady said "fragances have no gender"
Oooo I like that Enigma reaction. LOVE the Tobacco Oud breakdown. Would be interesting to know what style of fragrance Cecile herself enjoys to smell on a man! Did you quiz her on some of her personal favourites Chris?
in her review about herod, the apple representation she was refering too was a " Candied red apple". Important, that if a perfume is considered a Tobacco fragrance, it should dominated while the other notes be only additives that support the primary theme, tobacco in this case, thats why her opinions are sincere based on what a perfumer knows what real tobacco smells like. ;)
This was great to get a professional opinion on the channel!i could feel her impressive aura from here and never seen you so serious and without Carry On innuendo in sight 😉😂
Great guest and good honest feedback from her. She didn't seem overly blown away by some of the tobacco expressions in the ones you had her try. Would be interesting to have her choose five that she thinks the tobacco note was well done in her opinion. Again, great guest and content overall!
Great video as always. Always love to hear what successful perfumers in the industry have to say about our favourite fragrances and essentially, other perfumers works!
It’s funny that she said that about Naxos because the first time I smelled that I smelt it was on paper as well and I thought the same thing but when I bought it and I put it on skin I really started to smell the tobacco and liked it so much more. By the way that’s a great list of tobacco fragrances! The only one I don’t have this TF Tobacco Oud because of being discontinued on the private blend. I hear that they’re coming out with it on the signature side so I can’t wait! I hope they don’t change it though.
Great 📹 and I enjoyed it and I and she is a very smart about fragrances and can you have her on the channel again and I'm going to try these fragrances because Tobacco is one of my favorite notes and have a blessed day
Wow,not just a great perfumer, but also a very attractive lady....I wonder what are perfumers personal favourite perfumes...that's a really interesting subject...
Well I have Jazz Club. Worn it once because it's new in my collection. I don't see much "barbershop" fougere to it and it does smell like a jazz club to me. I have a whole display vitrine full of "barbershop" fougeres - TF Bea de Jour, Rive Gauche Pour Homme, Invasion Barbare, Azzaro Pour Homme, TF Fougere D'Argent, Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, etc. - and it simply doesn't belong there. The tobacco, and there is tobacco, is kind of a "raunchy" kind in a good way, reminiscent of an old smokey jazz club. Anyway, that's my take.
Number 10 on the like chart i just woke up 10 minutes ago! And now i am watching Chris at 5:00 am! And I am Pretty sure this video will be epic like all the videos Chris makes...Thanks Chris so much for all your hard work...We enjoy watching even if it is 5:00 Am....When she was smelling Tom Ford she was smelling Heaven...All Tom Ford i Love...My Favorite of all time and what i have the most of....Did you notice she picked Tom Ford out of all them...And yes i also have Oud Mineral but only in decant...My favorite of all time is Tom Ford Moss Breches...Which i have 100 ml of!
Wonderful video! Love hearing the thoughts of a professional perfumer on different fragrances. You know, since she's in the industry, I wonder if she's worked with any of the perfumers behind these fragrances.

Such an elegant lady, spot on etiquette. Great video Chris! Congrats!
She is good to be around in a office meeting when I am making a business deal with her. Not as a friend. lol
I dont care but Chris was blushing his ears gone all red good content though 😂😂😂👍
He turning red, I caught that lol.
I don’t think he was blushing I think he was just pure raging inside that she says his favourite fragrance smelled like old woman 😂
Yeah she is hot
😂😂🤣 nah he was soon the and chill well played

Cecile, she is one classy lady, I love her opinion on these fragrances thank you, Chris great choice of fragrances
My favorite Tobacco perfume is Royal Tobacco. It's the best Tabaco perfume that can't be compared to anything else.
Cecile: "So again, I'm a bit surprised by the tobacco announcement"

It’s so refreshing to watch your interview with superstar perfumer Cecile Zarokian! What a generous person she is. 😊 🔥 👃 🤩

Damn Chris, just damn! Bring her elegant self back again. A lady who loves my Tobacco Oud is a winner🤙🏾🚬👌🏾
A man and his pipe by tsvga parfvms is what tobacco oud wishes it was.

@@altonza it has real all natural castoreum and Siberia deer musk, and more animalics, dark cocoa, tobacco and whiskey barrell. It's brilliant.

Nice video.
I like this series however,
only if we can get to know the hosted perfumers’ favorites from the same genre this will balance the argument.
Cecile is one of my favorite perfumers. I really enjoyed this video!

Congratulations, Chris. It's important to give recognition and share points of view with perfumers. Well done!.
Merci beaucoup, madame Zerokian.
Awesome. She’s a great perfumer. Would love to see more of these collabs with youtubers!

Cecile is a beast! Thanks to you both.
Nice vid. Wish more perfumers would do new releases like this.
Yes, Cécile definitely works very hard when talking about her new releases.
Quality quality content!!! I like Cecile’s energy as well. Such a humble perfumer. Does she have any social media? I’d love to follow her journey.
Very nice video! It would be interesting to see more from Cecile smelling some popular designer fragrances! Thanks!!
I just put Ani and found this vdo lol. I really love Ani. That's vanilla masterpiece.
Bravo Chris! 👏🏽Wonderful video with one of the best perfumers in the world.
Enjoyed this. Great to have a perfumer as a guest.
Thank you for this video. Very interesting take on a perfumer's perspective on frangances. More Frangance UA-camrs should do this.
Very interesting to watch, keep up the great work Chris.
Next time have her smell Mancera's Red Tobacco.. My first real tobacco fragrance, and I love it! 😎
It's one of my favorites too, it should have been on this list. I'd almost take it over the rest of my collection. Lol
