We’ve seen mothers who keep the monster in the house who keep giving them access to the child hence the one of the last episodes. But this mother did was she thought was best. She removed her daughter from the situation while she handled it like a parent. She knows her child and probably didn’t want to cause anymore trauma so she took her child away from it all until it was done. Especially if the rape happened days prior and the child showered there’s no dna to test for a rape kit. She also had his confession on tape and his text messages so there was really no need for the child to be there. He incriminated himself

Exactly. That’s how these guys get away with it for so long , the people in their lives make excuses for them, enable them, and protect them. These people turn a blind eye or blame and shame the victims even when they know the truth, even when it’s part of a pattern of behavior. Makes me sick. The enabling family is just as disgusting as the perpetrator in these cases. The mom is awful too the fact that she had any type of communication with him at all once her daughter told her what happened. When he does it to the sister’s child or another family member, they’ll act shocked like they had no idea that something would happen. This is the type of family member that will let creepy uncle baby sit and live with them when he comes home from jail.

I work in a Sheriff's Department above a jail. I deal with SCAM (sexual charges against minors) inmates daily. Does that make me guilty because I know how inmates are treated there? That logic doesn't make much sense.

He was more worried about the consequences vs just clearing his name based off morality. I knew he did it when he admitted to sending inappropriate texts to a child. Also rape kits are very invasive and feel like you are being victimized all over again. She had already showered away DNA and is old enough to testify- so not getting a kit that wouldn't be processed due to backlog isn't a reason to criticize the Mother. I had a forced pelvic exam due to an overzealous mandatory reporter at my school and I have never recovered from that trauma.

First segment: Deep down she knew her brother did it. I do believe she was conflicted.. because who wants to believe that about their loved one. But girl you had proof literally in your face. idk if I’d be so forgiving if I were Dana, but hey.. that’s their business.
Second segment: Wow! I have to say I was a little surprised he failed. Of course you keep the “he’s guilty/he did it” possibility strong in your mind.. But once she came out.. I didn’t get a sense of much emotion from/about her, something about her seemed off and blah. But looking back, parts of his story became even more questionable after the results.. However once she failed the first part & he ran off (even if it wasn’t the most important part) I was for sure she was gonna fail the rest based on the way she acted. And to think I was starting to feel for him. What a sick and disgusting pos. Funny how his emotions quickly changed & the waterworks/tears stopped instantly/immediately & his whole demeanor changed. Not gon lie that one threw me off. And of course he’s not going to share proof of the other results because he didn’t pass.

I think she was believing it at first and then changed her mind when she heard a different story. Deep inside she needed this test especially when she says he should not have sent any messages to the young lady. So it probably became an issue that he sent messages to a kid and that is nasty but did he do that to her. I think the the brother saying that he was high was an excuse so he didn't look worse than he already did for touching a minor. I am glad the mother did the right thing and believed her daughter but I can't say she's a good parent if she is putting money on this man's books because she didn't deny it.
