Trigger is made up of people who were originally from Gainax and did work on Gurren Lagann and Panty & Stocking before leaving and forming their own studio which worked on Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia, and Darling in the FranXX to name a few.
it's not that they don't have the budget, its that they don't have the proper team to make an anime themselves but also its really expensive to have someone make an anime for you XD. Like you could easily put this in front of a shantae tv show and it would work just as well, all it's missing is the group shot in the end where the main character jumps down and the logo appears. Ps. Please make the credits a loop of shantae running through various backgrounds.

Shantae needs to appear in Super Smash Bros Ultimate Deluxe, her reveal trailer is similar to the Dr. Eggman reveal trailer. Sonic and Dr. Eggman were sleeping in the house in Green Hill Zone, until a gem appears and wakes up the duo. They see a shadow of what it appears to be Shantae, but she turned out to be Bayonetta in disguise, confusing the two Sega characters. Bayonetta laughs at this prank until the real Shantae appears and defeats her, before revealing herself to Sonic and Eggman, who cheer for her arrival. Shantae uses her final smash on Dr. Eggman, defeating him in the same way she did to Risky Boots, before appearing in front of the other characters excited for her arrival.

This is a big fat "What if" But what if, for this new Shantae game, we get fully animated cutscenes by Studio TRIGGER? (Edit): After watching the gameplay demo, i don't know if it's by Studio TRIGGER, but I'm proud to say that yes, there is animated cutscenes, which makes me wanna play the game even more!

If it is, that would debunk spirits not being playable fighters for smash DLC (as Shantae is one of those spirits). Which would ultimately lead to new speculations and theories like Geno for smash.

In the beginning: Shantae was in her room at her childhood town, she made up a show starring herself as a warrior princess, a nutcracker as the prince, a toy dinosaur as the evil witch, and a dead frog as the prince’s aging father, while also pretending that a glass of water next to the nutcracker is a poisoned chalice. When Shantae learns her character’s undefined and needs conflict, she predicts that an ironic unexpected event will happen, hereby propelling the protagonist into conflict. Her prediction came true when pirates came to destroy the town, causing Shantae to escape on a boat and find herself in Scuttle Town. When realizing she needs conflict, she imagines herself as a cyberpunk returning from a mission to reclaim her cybernetic arm; a rouge archeologist battling boas down in the Amazon; and an Hawaiian bachelorette.
It still fairly awesome to see progression of what was long time who once an rather remotely unknown gameboy' game from long ago turnt into indie staple. Edit: Well this is a first, I bearly get one like typically and theres apparently 277 now. Woah! Thanks.

Looking back on Shantae and by extension, WayForward, their history is really impressive. Shantae's first game was released for the Game Boy Color, one of the last games for the handheld, as the Game Boy Advance was already out for quite some time and WF themselves were a relatively unknown company. It sold rather poorly, and after a few cancelled sequels, Risky's Revenge came out 8 years later. After that, Shantae basically became a popular series and WayForward became an easily recognizable development company, releasing the likes of Mighty Switch Force, River City Girls, Ducktales: Remastered, and Double Dragon Neon. And Shantae has gotten an opening animated by Studio Trigger with Cristina Vee voicing Shantae herself and Risky. It's quite impressive, considering their humble beginnings.
That's a lot of Studio Trigger's animation style coming in, which also ties into a lot of Gainax's previous works since some of Gainax's previous staff went on and made Studio Trigger.

0:11-0:13 is heavily reminiscent of Studio Trigger's energetic animation when portraying scale, and also has Kill La Kill vibes too. A pleasant surprise, considering the last Trigger related thing I watched was SSSS Gridman and Franxx.
Hopefully the art style for the game is similar to this. I preferred the portrait art for Pirate's Curse over Half-Genie Hero. This would be better than both.
@@MrLordDarlington my biggest thing with hgh was that they left the metroidvania style of the first 3 games and went instead for a stage based system. it was ok, but I kind of was used to shantae as a series of metroidvania games.

I still heavily doubt that means anything, considering it isn't exactly the Smash logo. That being said, we have two DLC characters left to be revealed and Joker was a pretty big surprise addition to the roster so you never know.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was a deal with Nintendo to could see how big an explosion they can generate from the internet, just for the heck of it.

Sonic and Dr. Eggman were sleeping in the house in Green Hill Zone, until a gem appears and wakes up the duo. They see a shadow of what it appears to be Shantae, but she turned out to be Bayonetta in disguise, confusing the two Sega characters. Bayonetta laughs at this prank until the real Shantae appears and defeats her, before revealing herself to Sonic and Eggman, who cheer for her arrival. Shantae uses her final smash on Dr. Eggman, defeating him in the same way she did to Risky Boots, before appearing in front of the other characters excited for her arrival.
Studio Trigger and Shantae is a team-up that should have happened a very long time ago.

In the beginning: Shantae was in her room at her childhood town, she made up a show starring herself as a warrior princess, a nutcracker as the prince, a toy dinosaur as the evil witch, and a dead frog as the prince’s aging father, while also pretending that a glass of water next to the nutcracker is a poisoned chalice. When Shantae learns her character’s undefined and needs conflict, she predicts that an ironic unexpected event will happen, hereby propelling the protagonist into conflict. Her prediction came true when pirates came to destroy the town, causing Shantae to escape on a boat and find herself in Scuttle Town. When realizing she needs conflict, she imagines herself as a cyberpunk returning from a mission to reclaim her cybernetic arm; a rouge archeologist battling boas down in the Amazon; and an Hawaiian bachelorette.
The world deserves a full version of this song. Actually, I NEED IT !!!!

Looking back on Shantae and by extension, WayForward, their history is really impressive. Shantae's first game was released for the Game Boy Color, one of the last games for the handheld, as the Game Boy Advance was already out for quite some time and WF themselves were a relatively unknown company. It sold rather poorly, and after a few cancelled sequels, Risky's Revenge came out 8 years later. After that, Shantae basically became a popular series and WayForward became an easily recognizable development company, releasing the likes of Mighty Switch Force, River City Girls, Ducktales: Remastered, and Double Dragon Neon. And Shantae has gotten an opening animated by Studio Trigger with Cristina Vee voicing Shantae herself and Risky.
It's quite impressive, considering their humble beginnings.

That's a lot of Studio Trigger's animation style coming in, which also ties into a lot of Gainax's previous works since some of Gainax's previous staff went on and made Studio Trigger.

0:11-0:13 is heavily reminiscent of Studio Trigger's energetic animation when portraying scale, and also has Kill La Kill vibes too.
A pleasant surprise, considering the last Trigger related thing I watched was SSSS Gridman and Franxx.
Hopefully the art style for the game is similar to this. I preferred the portrait art for Pirate's Curse over Half-Genie Hero.
This would be better than both.
I prefer pretty much everything about pirates curse over half genie hero, if we could move a bit more back in that direction, that would be swell.
If this game looks anything like Half Genie Hero, the opening will look 10x nicer than the actual game! XD
@@MrLordDarlington my biggest thing with hgh was that they left the metroidvania style of the first 3 games and went instead for a stage based system. it was ok, but I kind of was used to shantae as a series of metroidvania games.
