It's good to be back in TIMOR-LESTE for another stint and let me know what you think, is Timor-Leste one of the best-kept secrets in Southeast Asia? Which other countries come to mind too??
just so so, its good landscape but it needs more resort, restaurants and also cheap guest houses, motel or nice hotels in Timor Leste, i love the beach but the main reason is, its a bit hard traveling, access is very rare, everything are expensive.

Yes it's safe and many expats live in the capital of Dili, Timor-Leste. You just need to take the normal precautions as you would anywhere else, for example, being cautious of traveling alone after dark etc.
Unfortunately, everything is too overpriced here. They can't compete with their neighbouring countries which have the similar attractions, indonesia, malaysia, thailand, and Philippines are more attractive in many aspects
I agree that it's more expensive with Timor-Leste using the US currency and feel that rather than competing with its neighbors, which it won't be able to do, instead offer different, unique experiences drawing upon the fact its a lesser visited place with incredible whale watching, healthy coral reef etc.
@@adamconstanza I’ve worked hard to learn Portuguese: is the language used in Timor-Leste enough to have me think: “I can go practice my second language there” ? (It’s obviously beautiful no matter what)
Hopefully, as roadmap to ASEAN has been defined for 2025, some key infrastructures are being forced to be built ASAP. some example, Pelican paradise, Timor Marina, Airport Expansion. So, when the Expansion of airport completed, it will open more interconnectivity flights. and with this, hopefully Timor can boost Tourism Sector, not overly rely on Oil&Gas sector.
The only country in the world with Portuguese as its official language but 99% of its people cannot speak Portuguese. They consider Indonesia as a colonizer but until now even for instant noodles they still import from Indonesia. An independent country that continously dependent but they are ashamed to say so😂
Thank you for promoting tourism in Timor-Leste 🇹🇱
No problem at all! Thanks for watching. 👍

@@adamconstanza I have read it over Google that there are public rapes n thefts is true or just a false information to defame
I haven't seen that info and didn't hear anything about it whilst living there.

You're Welcome.

Is Timor safe for an African man to visit?
Yes, we found Timor-Leste to be safe.
This island is quite beautiful to visit.
But only the territory managed by Indonesia is accessible (West Timor)
The eastern side of Timor Island, Timor-Leste is also easily accessible to visit as I've lived here for nearly 5 years and been exploring it. 👍

Timor Leste is new Dubai or Qatar
Nice video,, hope Timor get a growth in next 5 years of new government
It will be interesting to see how it develops over the years.
