2018 Nissan Patrol Royale Nismo Kit Review, Walkaround, Tour, Test Drive
Also called the Nissan Armada in the US, or the Infiniti QX80 in luxury trim, the Nissan Patrol is Nissan's full sized SUV contender to the famous Toyota Land Cruiser. Sporting similar dimensions, and proportion to the Land Cruiser, while being priced considerably lower, the Nissan Patrol sure puts up a good fight.
The example we have here today is a 2018 Nissan Patrol Royale with Nismo body kits sold by Nissan Philippines as a "Nissan Patrol Nismo." It must be worth noting that despite the name that Nissan Philippines brands it as, it simply comes with body kits, and does not come with the 28hp boost and 70% more usable torque, nor upgraded and tuned suspension and power steering, 22 inch rims, as well as a slightly different interior that comes as standard with the Nissan Patrol Nismo sold in the Middle East. This example also comes with upgraded Carobotor digital instrument cluster, 20" authentic Rays rims, and Borla performance exhausts.

This is a really nice review in my opinion. Unlike other local car reviewers out there, he's able to say freely what he thinks about the car. May it be bad, good , awesome or just awkward. And yeah, I don't like that wrinkled leather on the door sides too.

Great review, planning to get a used one to go light off-roading, watch the australians use this against the landcruiser 😅 also it comes with a rear difflock which makes a lot of difference. Heard that it felt as comfy as the lx570, so even priced new, it feels like such a better value proposition than an lc.

Comfort, practicality and value for money better than a land cruiser but relaibility and off road capabilities you cant beat the land Cruiser at the end both are awsome SUVs for me I will chose the Land Cruiser all day "TOYOTA fanatic" 😁

I would like to correct you with that the patrol is better interms of power and offroad capabilities.
you can put a 37 inch tire with no rubbing, better traction because of its front and rear independent suspension, better ground clearance, better approach and departure angle, more room to store your stuff a better GVM compare to the Land Cruiser.
the only thing the LC is best in terms of offroading is its Solid rear axles that give better articulation that benefits the body or frame of the LC
but all in all the LC is great but the Patrol is slightly superior in terms of performance offroad..
-used to own a series 4 y62 patrol or royale as we call it here in the PH since 2018 but now only this month october I now own a series 5 UAE based or Platinum City ( top of the end model ) Nissan Patrol Y62 and many of my friends here in Negros Occidental upgraded from the LC200 to the Patrol Royal.. and every weekend we used to go offroading...

Drove the Patrol years back, I agree in terms of the comfort levels. Some features are a bit dated though.
