WARNING I had some leakage when removing a brisket today and when I removed the grate and heat deflector to clean it I found that there was minimal liquid in the lower sealed box. Come to find out that they forgot to seal the whole corner and vertical wall with silicone behind the heat plate for the internal temp probe! All the liquid leaked into the unit and is slowly dripping out the end by the feet. I will never be able to get this cleaned out and returning this unit. The rest of the unit is sealed around the floor perimeter, vertical walls and box area that the auger is contained in. Why they never finished sealing the one vertical wall and floor is beyond me!
Wow! That is a bummer! Did Asmoke replace it? Or did you move on to something else? Luckily mine is sealed and so far it does a great job. Thanks for checking this out and I hope you have an awesome day!✌️👍
@@Mankitchenrecipes hopefully save someone the headache I’m having. Luckily it’s still in the return period at the store so I’m going to swap it out as defective. Going to order some high temp bbq silicone if the new one is missing it before I even turn it on. Going to contact Asmoke Monday when they reopen to let them know about it and send pictures.
