My brother had a house in raccoon City. When we were kids we used to hang out at the park near the clock tower. I know he was in the city when the outbreak happened but his memory will never be forgotten. Love you brother.

the one thing I have to give props to is in the resident evil lore. Especially for the raccoon city outbreak, is that the city still managed to hold on till October. A week of zombies, mutated animals, man-made BOWs. Even though in the end, at the later stages most of the population had been turned or killed. Emergency services was still there somehow.
There really is s ton of content that could be used. They could have done back story, a lead up to the Outbreak, etc. It's the film makers and their "creative liberty" that winds up ruining the films. No one wants to see one person's vision of what the story should like like. People wanna see the story that's already laid before them. Aside from dialogue tweaks, the story itself doesn't need to be changed for film.

Classic RE3 is a fantastic and frantic story. We did, of course, use footage from the remake, just give all the games proper screen time, and the more realistic graphics fit the documentary style of story -telling. However, we kept the story as OG RE3, since that's canon, and it slaps so much more!

This is such a well done series bro. Absolute gift and massive patience to pull this off. You are very much appreciated for doing this by every single one of us that enjoys this game.
I’m surprised that none of the B.O.W.’s especially the zombies didn’t escape out of RC after the only access road into town was left open after the military was ordered to abandon their post and evacuate. Even though Leon and Claire were successful in getting in. This is really a well put together documentary for a work of fiction, let alone a game.

There is a city in South Dakota that almost fits perfectly Racoon city. Their police acronym was RCPD for Rapid City police department. It was crazy even had a sick gun store downtown
I always thought South Dakota, or a state that borders the Great Lakes, would have been the perfect location for Raccoon. In the very brief moment they show a red digital map of the US, in RE: Umbrella Chronicles, it looks like Raccoon is situated somewhere close to the Great Lakes. I'd have to pause that scene to try and match it to a map.
I'm from Duluth Minnesota, which is right on Lake Superior and I've always thought it would be a good template for Raccoon City. We even have a mansion which could double as the Spencer Mansion: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glensheen_Historic_Estate
This was amazing man. I wish Capcom would go back to Raccoon just one more time for another story. It's the only place I really enjoy playing and learning about.
In the games we always (most of the time, not in outbreak and such) we get the perspective of extremely capable and confident characters usually with special training, but i've always wanted to know what normal ass people thought of the world they were living in and what they thought of a real life zombie outbreak actually happening and a whole city nuked by it's own government. This documentary helps put me in that headspace easier, thanks for that!

With the exception of some cutscenes used, Operation Raccoon City wasn't included, since it is not considered a Canon title to the main RE universe. There are some Canon aspects used in that game, but overall it's just a "what if" scenario. Since there was Army Delta activity in the city in the actual timeline, we used some ORC cutscenes to help visualize those portions.
Man, part 1 and 2 were amazing. Do you plan on continuing this series at all? Following the events of resident evil 4, code veronica, etc? This is probably one of, if not my favorite piece of RE content on youtube.
Around mid- July, we're gonna start dropping a several- episode series done in the same fashion as Part 1, and it will cover more of the Raccoon City Incident in- depth (Episodes about the RPD, viruses, and a mix of fan- made and canon story survivor accounts). We do also plan to make full length documentaries covering the rest of the series, but those two works are basically waiting to see what the 9th RE title is going to do story- wise.
This and Part 1 were amazing my dude there's a lot of info I learned from these two videos that I was not aware of. It's still crazy to me how they have yet to make a "good" Resident Evil movie when there's so much lore and history in the setting they could use. The actual games themselves would not make good movies IMHO, but you could easily make a great movie about the lead up to the mansion outbreak, the few days between initial infection and full collapse of Raccoon City, etc.

Dawn of the dead remake 2004 is ine of my favorite zombie films (obviously love the original!) but the extras on the dvd are amazing, especially the news broadcast progression through the infection - one of the greatest under appreciated pieces of film so I loved seeing bits of it used here ❤
Funny thing is, had Oswell not been so paranoid and gone after Marcus and Edward Ashford, he may have seen some real success in his endeavors to make his god-complex actually mean something for himself. Mind you of the three only Edward had any modicum of being a decent person; Marcus and Oswell were both terrible people. Birkin was not the worst, but he was obsessed with his research that I find it hard to pity him, same goes for Anette, even though she did find her inner motherly nature before she died. Ironically, Wesker being the biggest backstabber of them all was probably the most honest in his actions. Yes he led STARS to near annihilation, yes he co-conspired with Birkin to assassinate Marcus on Oswell's orders, and yes, he betrayed the man that made him, but at least up until RE5, Wesker never presented himself as some messiah savior; he was just an agent of chaos. I think Capcom lost touch with what made Wesker a fantastic villain in RE5, I jokingly refer to him as a Bond villain, but I'd like to say there's a lot of truth to that. Sure he's still a badass, has a cool look, and a silky voice, but he never struck me as a meglomaniac, just a cold hearted deadly bastard who did not care who he hurt or why he was hurting them.
The design of Raccoon City always felt so fun and comforting to me and i couldnt put my finger on it when i first played them decades ago. As an adult i think its because the Japanese level designers placed very japanese-esque commercial district alleys into their idea of a very new england-esque city and then placed it in a region of the country that they mistakenly thought was lovecraft country-esque haha.
This is top tier content. I just finished your first vid , watching this before bed. As a resident evil fan since playing the first as kid in 98 this is heaven
Amazing work. I thoroughly enjoyed this. I’m a big RE nerd and found this very satisfying to watch. Very well thought out and executed. Please do more covering the entire series. Great work, thank you.
As a newer fan of the games, these videos were awesome for explaining RE lore. I really enjoyed it and thanks a lot for your hard work. I would love a deep dive like this on re biohazard/village too, even though i have no clue how you would make it work like a documentary like this.. A breakdown on the ethan winters storyline would be really interesting even though its not quite as nuanced or nearly as deep as some of the old school RE lore. Am i the only one who wants to go back play REmake and RE0 now?
The game isn't Canon, but it does have some Canon elements. Regardless, the cinematics and soundtrack to the game proved super useful. I always enjoyed the gameplay with friends, too. I have it on steam but it's a pain to get working, unless they fixed it.
Wow, thus was wonderful!!! The lore of this series has always fascinated me and I always love to pick up on whatever I may have missed. I love your final words at the end, which IMO encompass the entire meaning of the title "Resident Evil".
I absolutely loved this documentary and all the different resources you used to make it happen. I saw clips from the extra on the outbreak of zombies from the Dawn of the Dead remake by Zack Snyder, old footage clips, using footage from the original RE games and their remakes, and of course, the two Outbreak games which were ahead of their time. It was just really great!
Don't know how or why this came up in my feed, but this was an absolutely incredible watch. I am genuinely shocked by the low view count, being high quality means nothing to the algorithm I suppose
The storyline to game combination is amazing and the way you swap between the retro and current remakes in the timeline unfoldings are just outstanding if someone told me you guys were making a movie id be first in line to see it
2:04:45 “Oswald E. Spencer” definitely wasn’t an intentional slight on the part of the news reporter, but I’m reasonably sure that “Oswald” was likely gritting his teeth and muttering that his name was actually Ozwell when watching that in his mansion with only his butler to keep him company. 😆
This was so amazing and it's the 5th time I've watched it. The whole thing is such a vibe. Edgy me would love to have witnessed the whole Raccoon City incident first hand. I think in our own power fantasies we all would, but man, ever since playing re1 in late grade 4 (1998/1999ish?) I loved the series. I rented RE2 and I remember how much even just the manual struck me. RE3 was an absolute fave as a preteen/early teen, this, FF7, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, demo discs... I have such an intense nostalgia bomb right now. Thank you, this sub is more than deserved
Just finished this, and it was absolutely fantastic. It would be cool to see you cover some of the other Resident Evil games in this manner. Keep up the great work!

Discovered the documentary like 2 days ago. What a masterpiece !
It was supposed to be an evac site in Outbreak File 2, and was used in previous days for evacuations. But, given the state of the city by the time the Outbreak characters reach the zoo, I wouldn't have taken the risk.
I don't understand why this hasn't gotten a lot of likes. This documentary was way better than anything else I've seen on here. They could of used this in an RE movie.
My friends and I have debated doing our own true-to-events film. We have 2 other documentaries coming: #2 will cover RE survivor, Code Veronica, 4, 5, 6, and the Revelations series, while #3 will cover RE 7, 8, and 9, whenever it drops!
You realize that all of the others who have spoken out against Umbrella Corporate have disappeared right? Even though Umbrella is gone, there are still very powerful people with interests in no more information leaking. If I were you, I'd buy a new identity and move to Africa.
There is... a back story to this. We're hoping to tell it. It's brave, and suicidal, work, if you ask me. But worth it. The majority of "us" are survivors of Raccoon, families who were with the selective evacuations. Most survivors wouldn't touch this kind of work, but some of us... it's just a thing that we can't let go of. There's alot more to release, including the story of the original video creator. The rest of us are just carrying on this project, with some help from capable sources.
Very good documentary about RE. The narrator's voice is very good and it matches the seriousness of the subject. I think the only problem here is the use of too much gameplay to tell the story. The first episode is better because it has a lot of real scenes. I think the first part is so good that you can use that to convince people that it is a real story. Overall, nice job.
@arnaldomarques4699 go check out the newest episode we just released right here on the channel! It's done I the same way as the first part but it's shorter! There's a bit of gameplay in there but much less, and there's actually an explanation as to why there's game footage in these. But that will be explained in a later episode!
Ooooo that channel 3 news report where the guy was like "idk if this is gonna air" made me pause for a sec. Idk if that's your doing or some other footage but I LIVE for it! I imagine by the 50% populace transformed mark that most reporters would've quickly been transformed or evacuated so seeing an example of that was immersive as heck. Keep up the good work, V! EDIT: That footage was from Dawn of the Dead I believe, BUT I love that it was included since it fits in this and again, ADDS TO THE IMMERSION OF IT AWLLLLL!
Quality work here , Vincent - managing to combine Outbreak , 4th Survivor plus Classic and Remake Res 2 and 3 with original and new tracks in keeping with the mood. How about a Umbrella Worldwide parts 1 & 2 now that takes in Veronica. , Infinite Darkness , Darkside , Degeneration , Dead Aim , Revelations 1&2 and Main Games 4 & 5 ? 😅

I watched part 1 now I'm watching part 2.. I've got to say that I am loving it. Very good work .
Love how well the stories were tied in together in this 2 part documentary, totally enjoyed it as much as Wesker's Report
This is top tier content. I just finished your first vid , watching this before bed. As a resident evil fan since playing the first as kid in 98 this is heaven
Awesome work! Thanks for documentary
Yes finally operation raccoon city gets some respect
The game isn't Canon, but it does have some Canon elements. Regardless, the cinematics and soundtrack to the game proved super useful. I always enjoyed the gameplay with friends, too. I have it on steam but it's a pain to get working, unless they fixed it.
Wow, thus was wonderful!!! The lore of this series has always fascinated me and I always love to pick up on whatever I may have missed. I love your final words at the end, which IMO encompass the entire meaning of the title "Resident Evil".
I played all the games, beautifully done. I enjoyed watching this definite two thumbs up
I absolutely loved this documentary and all the different resources you used to make it happen. I saw clips from the extra on the outbreak of zombies from the Dawn of the Dead remake by Zack Snyder, old footage clips, using footage from the original RE games and their remakes, and of course, the two Outbreak games which were ahead of their time. It was just really great!
How this doesn't have hundreds of thousands of views and how u have below 1k subs is beyond me. Great work and keep doing what ur doing. Subbed.
The characters are iconic and their stories should be heard. It'll be nice if Hollywood dropped the Mila character and focus on the cannon stories
they need to make it more realistic with bcs if they were like these games it will be straight caca corny like an anime lol
@@psalmreader909 they shouldn't be just like the games but the characters from the games and their stories need more light.
Don't know how or why this came up in my feed, but this was an absolutely incredible watch. I am genuinely shocked by the low view count, being high quality means nothing to the algorithm I suppose
I appreciate the kind words! Never could get the UA-cam algorithm figured out. But sharing and posting is certainly helping!!
That whole Resident Evil 3 Jill Valentine compilation, between RE3 Nemesis and RE3 2022 went HARD.
The storyline to game combination is amazing and the way you swap between the retro and current remakes in the timeline unfoldings are just outstanding if someone told me you guys were making a movie id be first in line to see it
Glad i work 12hour shifts so i had time to listen to this while I worked, and part 1 too! Many thanks, love the content
Nice that you included The Outbreak games. As they're like TV movie versions of Resident Evil.
As a longtime Resident Evil fan who never had a PlayStation and never got to play the Outbreak games, this definitely makes me want to check them out.
Resident evil music is so epic
2:04:45 “Oswald E. Spencer” definitely wasn’t an intentional slight on the part of the news reporter, but I’m reasonably sure that “Oswald” was likely gritting his teeth and muttering that his name was actually Ozwell when watching that in his mansion with only his butler to keep him company. 😆
Just finished watching parts 1 & 2 and wow, that was a lot of figuring out that timeline! Incredibly well done 👍 Yep, I'm Subbin'
This was incredible. Congratulations on a fantastic work 🎉
nice presentation for the timeline of events!
I listen to this while I sleep
Just finished this, and it was absolutely fantastic. It would be cool to see you cover some of the other Resident Evil games in this manner. Keep up the great work!
Discovered the documentary like 2 days ago. What a masterpiece !
Resident Evil Outbreak Remake needs to take notes from this video!
Comments for the algorithms!
Amazing job on both.
Why would you ever go to the zoo in a zombie outbreak?
It was supposed to be an evac site in Outbreak File 2, and was used in previous days for evacuations. But, given the state of the city by the time the Outbreak characters reach the zoo, I wouldn't have taken the risk.
@@Vipersfury86Gaming yea no shot I'm ever going there no matter how many evac sites they have lol.
This must have took you sometime man great videos part 1 and part 2 great job man🎉
That, without a doubt, is the most comprehensive backstory from the RE timeline I've ever come upon... Thank you...
@Vipersfury86Gaming I'm sure true die hard fans would very much appreciate to see more of your work.
Definitely the best resident evil recounting ive heard and seen 👏
Thank you! Stay tuned, in the coming weeks, we have a sister series coming out to accompany this documentary!
Great video 📹i bet it took lots of time and effort to put these together im currently watching right now as i came from part 1 and part 1 was great
Ooooo that channel 3 news report where the guy was like "idk if this is gonna air" made me pause for a sec.
Hahaha....Dr. Dana Stirling.
Southern Cross forever.
The outbreak games look pretty awesome. Shame I just couldn't get it to work on my own.
Lol I thought the same thing, Max and Miriya would be proud of their daughter. Pilot and now Doctor
@@djzl05l Thank God there was one Robotech geek out there that got the reference. 🤣🤣
25:17 classic Jim
I totally forgot that happened when I played/ recorded, so during editing when I saw it, I was like "no, this is too perfect, it has to go in" haha
When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.
First stop, Raccoon City. Lol
i poop my pants
Really good , my Only nitpick is that some of the gameplay footage is too dark to see properly , otherwise I Love it!!!!!!!
Phenomenal work really well done 😊
I enjoyed every moment of the two videos 👏
BTW you’re a legend for this. Thank you
