The Viper at 5:37 is an F-16D Block 52P, tail number 92-3924. The F-35A tail code 11-5029 is AF-40, first flight was Dec 16, 2013. Delivered to USAF in Feb 2014, assigned to Eglin AFB 58th Fighter Squadron. 11-5024 suffered a nose landing gear collapse on Aug 22, 2018, but was quickly repaired and put back into flight ops.
I was at Williamtown RAAF base a few weeks ago and watched two F35As take off, the noise was deafening, it just doesn't come across here in videos like this one.

yes, they made that choice, since the F35 B model has a lift fan system behind the pilots (A,C model does not). They also have stated this setup allows the seat + ejection system to be pulled out without having to remove the canopy, so from a service point of view - this choice is a good one.

Для малозаметности у него все оружие внутри фюзеляжа, поэтому и выглядит как бочка. Тут красотой пожертвовали ради функционала и большей загрузки. Наши конечно лучше выглядят, но этот тоже неплохо.
They are VERY rare to see and find. There have been "accounts" of vertical takeoffs for operational jets. However, I am aware of ONLY one that been captured on video - it occurred just recent on the Italian carrier Cavour. That video is SUPER rare, and to my knowledge this video is the only video in existence of a F35 taking off 100% vertical that's been deployed. There are few 10 year old video's - but they are only during testing. So video's of deployed F35's taking off vertical are VERY rare and VERY hard to find. Now without question, many more have occurred, but there not video's of such events. Here is the only known video of a operational (deployed) F35 taking off vertical: I have time stamped the start of the Video - so you only have to wait about 8 seconds, and you see the 100% vertical takeoff. As noted, this is the ONLY public known and public published video of a F35 taking off 100% vertical. I guess a thumbs up to the Italians- they look to be the first to have released video of this occurring. ua-cam.com/video/44XTupmQMjQ/v-deo.html
