Fun fact: Zenitsu can only fight when he’s asleep. Also, he only ever learned how to do Thunder Breathing First Form, so he honed it to perfection. To quote his master: “You must only master one thing.”

I love that that's Zenitsu's entire deal. He's just so hyperactive and weird that he freaked out and honed his skills so hard that he can do this technique in his sleep, but he's also such a coward that he can't fight while awake. So he literally just passes out and fights while basically unconscious, where he becomes stupidly strong because he's honed his one technique to perfection. But because it only works when he's passed out, he never actually knows when he does something, so he can never realize how strong he really is and overcome his fears, lol.
Bruce Lee himself mentioned that he's more fearful of a person who has completely mastered a single technique over a person who's mediocre at a thousand different techniques
How can you only fight in your sleep? He killed Kaigaku awake lol
The characters that seem in the academy like outfits are a reference to bonus pages and ending scenes of certain episodes where they are like teachers and things it’s cute

@@goby1764 What fucking characters? This was made when only the first season and the movie came out. It's a game made for fans of the anime. The first season and movie did NOT have enough characters for a full roster. The game on its own was fine. Would you rather it just be like an 8 character roster until DLCs came out?
Demon Slayer is a manga/anime series that EXPLODED in popularity a few years ago out of nowhere. The story isn't anything special (compared to other series in the same genre at least) but the animation is probably the most beautiful of any animation ever created. I can't stress enough how jaw droppingly gorgeous some of the scenes from the most recent season were. Despite not thinking much of the story, I still think that it's a series worth checking out, especially because it's only around 30-40 episodes (which is very short for a shonen anime) + a movie as of right now, with another 12-26 episode season coming at the very end of this year or early next year.
Personally I would disagree about the story as it has great story telling with a very decent story even couple with manga in general, let alone WSJ series alone.
That is the main reason it exploded in popularity.
That and a lot of unique characters on both sides

@@steelballjack I don't think the story is bad by any means. It's just not amazing, but outside of One Piece I don't really think any Shonen series really knocks it out of the park from a storytelling/writing perspective because that isn't what the genre is meant to do. It's meant to be thrilling action/fighting scenes, with cool characters, sick powers, and a decent but simple plot. It ticks all of those boxes and does what it's supposed to extremally well, and goes WAY above and beyond in the anime. It's like a definition 8/10 series imo.

The one with the red string is one of the lower moons of the Twelve Kizuki and is a spider demon. The fight between him and the main character is truly amazing to watch highly recommend this series.

Demon Slayer's "power" system is quite cool because its users can change it to suit their strengths. You have the basic elements like water, fire, etc. and from those they created their own breathing techniques like beast, insect, sound, mist and even love breathing. It's very open to abstract ideas like that, because breathing techniques aren't magical powers but more like supernaturally enhanced fighting styles.
They also don't actually conjure the elements they're named after, those effects are just an artistic representation of a character's fighting style. So if their swordsmanship "flows like water", it's shown to the audience as a trail of water behind their blade (or if the user is very skilled, a whole-ass dragon).

@@coolrod15thecoolest24 The only thing that makes me doubt it is that characters in the show actually heard Thunder whenever Zenitsu moves which is like you only get a boom when the speed of something is going exceptionally high so is Zenitsu actually being powered?
@@coolrod15thecoolest24 It's kind-of ambiguous, but when someone uses Dead Calm and it forms the entire calm lake, it's clear that they're not literally creating an entire ocean of water and erasing all the trees and stuff from their surroundings, right? So it seems to be mostly metaphorical, but the times when it seems 'real' are such rare exceptions that you just kind-of go along with it.

Here, I’m going to explain each of the 4 main characters:
- Tanjiro: A pure-hearted boy that loves helping those around him. He started training to become demon slayer after his family got killed by a demon.
- Nezuko: Tanjiro’s sister and the only one to survive the demon that killed their family while Tanjiro was gone. She became a demon but was surpressed and tamed into thinking all humans needed to be protected. She wears a bamboo muzzle just to resist human blood
- Zenitsu: A cowardly boy that managed to make his way into the Final Selection.
- Inosuke: The pig-head (Or Boar) boy. He is a brash boy that often has a habit of picking fights with anyone he sees as strong.
Also, the pig head he wears is from the boar who raised him after she died. He wears it to honor her.
Also, Zenitsu is not just cowardly, he's also very interested in girls, and constantly tries to ask them to marry him. The fun twist to his character, however, is that his cowardly side completely disappears when he is asleep, because he sleepwalks and becomes an absolute badass while doing so, only then showing his true strength as a swordsman. Of course, he's not aware of this

Fun Fact: By the time season 1 finished the manga was already nearing completion. Being finished before the movie and later season 2 came out. This is a bit unusual as most really big mainstream anime series usually come from longer running manga.
Makes it more accessible to newcomers like us cuz this doesn’t have 700 episodes to check out 😅
Interesting fact about Nexuko's "Exploding Blood" (1:04): in the original series, it only affects demons or demonic things. This leads to a moment where someone gets poisoned by a demon's blood, and she cures him by _setting him on fire, burning away the poison inside him but leaving everything else intact._
I couldn't find a better way to describe Uzui than like him being the Johnny Cage of the demon slayer verse. I never even saw it before

The guy with the red mask near the start is a master who trains Demon Slayers. He was the sensei to all the people who were using water.

Yeah, the art style for Demon Slayer is something amazing, each different "Breathing style" is different; like some have Water Breathing and Thunder Breathing along with some more obscure ones being Love Breathing (Yeah I don't know either) and Stone Breathing
also the reason why that Nezuko (The girl with the bamboo muzzle in her mouth) is because she was cursed to become a demon so that's to stop her from biting/eating people

The girl in the butterfly outfit is Shinobu she is the insect hashira her blade is a stinger so her sword can pierce through demon’s heart and calmly put them to sleep instead of killing the demon’s

Lol I forgot how much budget they gave to this game to match the show's fancy animation budget. This series is very simple and easy to get into if you ever plan on watching other animes after Dragonball Abridged.

Hey as a huge fan of Demon Slayer I was very excited when you announced you are gonna react to this and I wasn't disappointed with the reaction too. But I do have to point out 2 things:
1. you missed a new character that was recently added
2. You should react to all Ultimate Moves cutscenes at the end too( when opponent is low and you do a ultimate move on them you get a special cutscene and you should definitely react cause they are really good.

a little information. this video you saw is not necessarily complete. It's missing 6 characters that are still releasing through DLC. of these 6 characters currently one of them has already been released in the game and we are still waiting for another 5 probably by the end of this year or the beginning of the next all characters will have already released so if you are interested it would be nice to react again to see the missing characters . other than that a great video as always

Fun facts for demon when ever a demon says blood demon art it’s their power and their ult as well
The parts where the characters had bread and were in school uniform isn’t official to the actual show, but a reference to some promotional shorts done by the animators. So it kinda is ‘official’ but not actually cannon to the plot.
Also while it’s not an actual rule, you can usually tell if a character is a demon if they are carrying a sharp weapon or not, at least for the entirety of this video. The comment about the guy being a vampire isn’t entirely true (hence the name d e m o n slayer) but demons do share some attributes with vampires, like burning in the sun and eating human blood to sustain themselves. They also have a few specific weaknesses, those being a plant called wisteria (kind of like garlic) and being beheaded with a special sword(kind of like being stabbed through the heart with a stake). Not all demons are bad, but the majority are, being lead by the most evil and ancient demon of them all, Michael Jacks- I mean Muzan Kibutsuji.
Demon slayer blew up a few years ago and since then it’s had 2 seasons and a movie, which has some of the best animation quality you’ll find in anime, period. The movie set an all time record as the most grossing anime film ever, and the next season of the show is set to air in early 2023.
I don’t know if you’ll be able to watch the show on your other channel due to copyright but I highly suggest you check out the openings for each season (there are 3). They are really good music video/teaser trailers and don’t really spoil anything much, so i think they’d be a good place to start if you’d like to see more from this series.

The best part is, it's not even over. There are 3 more dlc characters coming to the game (one of them already did, it's basically a bigger version of the bamboo girl) and they will most likely have amazing ultimates too

I dig the opening of your logo being flashy and stylish 😁 also demon slayer is a beautiful anime with visuals being top notice amazing to watch. I recommend you two try to watch it as it’s on Netflix and it cover season 1. Also a little saying that the guy with lightning have a split personality of being goofy to girls, serious tone when he is sleeping, and bring cowardly once coming to fights. Also there is a video out there in English Audio with showing different outfits to check and also “Final Cuts” to show some speech from each character doing final blows to the opponent.

the school uniforms are a game exclusive and just put in for fun. the sword techniques though are used in the anime. the fire one is different though as its supposed to be a lion head chomping the enemy.
Here's something that you should always know about anime characters, no matter how silly or serious the maga is, they'll have a one word pain for a name, that might reflect their personality, that powers and etc.

A little fun fact about the last guy you saw: he’s literally using SOUND as a weapon.
Essentially the Demon Slayers are demon hunters that use breathing techniques with their katanas to kill the demons by decapitation; so after his family was slaughtered and his kid sister Nezuko was turned into a demon Tanjiro, the main character, must find a way to turn her back into a human by becoming a Demon Slayer to find the man who can turn Nezuko back.
Demons in this world are very similar to vampires in the sense that they consume human flesh and burn in the sunlight.
You guys should tooootally react to this series if you haven’t seen it yet! It’s probably one of the best animes to start with if you haven’t seen any

The powers in demon slayer are pretty neat because there’s actually 2 distinct power systems. The humans have breathing techniques, which pretty much allow them to use their breathing to increase their bodies strength, healing capabilities, durability, etc. it also allows them to use special attacks which are represented by different elements depending on the breathing style (thunder breathing, water breathing, etc). An important note is that the elements like the water and thunder aren’t really there, and are just visual representations of the techniques to add more flare to the combat. Next is demons. Demons are pretty much mutated humans that eat other humans to gain strength. Demons don’t age, have superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, and can regenerate from just about any injury. Even having their head blown to bits. The only way to kill demons is to either expose them to sunlight, or behead them with weapons made from a special sunlight absorbing metal. These weapons are usually katanas, but some of the demon slayers use dual swords and one even uses a spiked mace. Some demons have mutations that give them inherit abilities (like making spider webs and stuff like that) but the peak of the demons powers are blood demon arts. Basically when a demon eats enough people and gets strong enough, they can manipulate their blood to use all sorts of weird borderline magical powers. Every demon has a different blood demon art, and unlike the breathing elements, the blood demon arts are very much actual powers, and make demons very dangerous. The demon slayer corps exists to slay demons and consists of swordsman who have trained under various teachers to learn one of the many breathing techniques, and it’s pretty interesting to see the clashes between raw sword skill and, well, supernatural demon magic
Purely from an art perspective the anime series is worth watching.
Another game that has really beautiful supers is Granblue Fantasy Versus. I highly recommend it. They're supers are called 'Skybound Arts'

Demon Slayer is absolutely an anime worth checking out, it's just really solid, looks great, and it's super accessible to get into. Basically, people are being turned into demons, which in this universe means they basically follow vampire rules. They're super strong, they regenerate, they eat people, etc. And the only way to kill one of these things to stop them is to either expose them to sunlight or to cut their head off with a specially made Katana that has a unique ore that mimics sunlight so you can just destroy the demon in one go.
The main character's village is attacked and his sister turns into one of these demons, but she manages to keep herself under control and refuses to eat people. So in order to protect her from other Demon Slayers, the main character joins the demon slaying corps, giving her a bit of leeway while also vowing to kill evil demons who prey on innocent people.
It's basically kind-of like a vampire hunter story but the hero is trying to find a cure for vampirism and also all the monsters are based on Japanese mythology, so they have a lot of really weird and interesting designs and powers.
It's also worth noting that this is also a show that has a lot of sympathy for the demons, as well. Like, sure, Tanjiro will just cut these things down because they gotta go, but also we get to see a bit of humanity to them because the main guy actually has sympathy for their situation, which is really refreshing. It honestly makes Tanjiro super likable to see that he's willing to do what has to be done, but he'll still, say, comfort a dying demon or something because he understands that they didn't want to end up like this. It just adds another nice layer to the whole thing.
But yeah, great show, can't say enough good about it. This series was so successful that the movie broke like every Japanese film record and basically single-handedly saved the country from the economic after-effects of COVID. Economists literally call it "The Demon Slayer Boom", it's freaking nuts how big this show got!
If you can't get Water Dragon, go in the opposite direction as far as you can.

The anime is really good I recommend watching it. All their techniques are based on breathing
What the shonen lacks in originality it more than makes up for with style, art direction and scene to scene storytelling. Demon Slayer is short and sweet. The author forewent the "easy" path of milking the series into infinity for money and told a charming story with a definitive beginning and end, and it was a distinct breath of fresh air in both manga and anime forms.
Good pitch. Makes us want to check out the show. Not too manny episodes. Gets to the point. Might be a good one for us to watch 🙂
