by 3:47 EPIC! A fan clarifies for Micheal Dorn that the "drop of stuff" was red matter: *"WHATEVER it was!!"* EPIC EPIC EPIC!! And then when he cites that everyone SEES Nero doing this, [Hey, that can't be good. Maybe someone should do something.] I have tears in my eyes!
Brent strikes me as the kind of guy that will make any acting job worth while. Something tells me that both him, Frakes, and Steward are the reasons the show succeeded. that is their chemistry made the show go on and the realization that Dorn, Sirtis, McFadden, and Burton had equally awesome chemistry launched the series into what it is now. The TOS series and the movies did their job but I think without TNG, we wouldn't have what we have now with Star Trek.
When you say we wouldn't have what we have now with Star Trek with how bad the franchise has gotten I don't think that's a compliment lol but I agree with the sentiment that Next Gen took things to a different level and brought Star Trek to a new audience and helped keep the legacy alive because it was the first attempt to do Trek without the original cast which was a gigantic risk that no one thought would work.
Yeah. I agree. Nu Star Trek isn't my dad's Star Trek... As a younger "next gen" kid who grew up on old Trek, Nu ST is not my ST either. I... felt dumb. But, to say people don't want old Trek is an understatement. I watched Interstellar. That room was packed. There is space to make something that looks great, is intelligently made, and makes you think about the philosofical questions. I believe there is a want for that kind of stuff that inspires and elevate its audience while also bringing a measure of hope that we can be better, and that even if we don't get there "the effort yields it's own rewards", as Data so aptly put it. Nu ST feels... Empty. TNG still feels like home.
JJ Abrams biggest problem is that he tries to make everything "cool" but Star Trek was never about that. I think Star Trek was good because it never used to bow down to what's cool but always just did it's own thing in its own way...
Kevin Ryan If you are talking about the quality of the video, I'm sorry about that... I paid $1,000 for my VIP ticket to that Comic Con, plus airfare from Montana to Toronto and my hotel, and I was sitting only feet away from my childhood HERO (Data - Brent Spiner) and I was more interested in gawking at him in AWE. PLUS, we weren't supposed to be taking video, so I just had the camera in my lap, so I couldn't even see if it was pointed at them or not... LOL My sincere apologies!
911ambulancegirl I met Walter Koenig at a convention in Modesto, CA one time. I turned around and there he was walking the floor checking out the merchandise. All I could think to say at the time was a weak 'Welcome to California!' A couple of days later it hit me that he LIVES in California. .. ;)
Kevin Ryan LOL... But the cool thing is that you were able to have a cool interaction with him that you will remember all your life. That is why I went to this Comic Con. I wanted to meet all the stars of TNG, because I knew that if some day I heard that Marina Sirtis passed away or Brent Spiner passed away and I hadn't taken the time to go meet them I would regret it. It was WORTH it! I had such an awesome time! I got to hang out with Marina all afternoon one of the days, she even kept touching my hair and telling me how pretty it was. I'll never forget that! Oh, and go look up a video on you tube I forget what it's called something like Patrick Stewart there are four lights - I got the BEST seat in the house for the main event and off to the side of the hall there was this huge stand of lights (there were four of them glaring at the stage) and I got the mike and asked Mr. Stewart how many lights he saw, and the entire place erupted... It was AWESOME! One of the best moments of my LIFE!
JJ Abrams is better with Science Fantasy than he is with Science Fiction. He should stay with Star Wars and stay out of Star Trek. Not a bad director just fits differently in the directing industry.
That wasn't Doctor Who. It was a theremin, which was a staple of old sci-fi movie music, of which that was an example. I don't know what movie it was from specifically though. The Doctor Who theme has a sound similar to a theremin, but I don't think it actually is one.
I tweeted Micheal Dorn with the hashtag #WeWantWorf with me patting him on the back for the idea and saying *Qapla'*, and then yet another tweet, that jokingly told him that if he is on stage (after the debut of the first episode), to warn the disgruntled fans to NOT throw things at him, because to Klingons, that is a sexual come-on! He didn't re-tweet it, or get back to me :( [facepalm]
Apathetic Apparition look at other start wars relationships between their crawl and their respective plots. anh has a crawl and a plot about death Star plans. empire has a crawl and a plot about Vader trying to get to Luke. the superweapon in tfa isn't even mentioned until the second act has already underway, and again, the crawl wasn't ambiguous, it teed up a plot about finding Luke. the characters literally say that this plot isn't important halfway through the film.
I wished it had been still, but if some fan with a camera hadn't taken that and shared it, I couldn't have watched it, so I opted for gratitude over being an asshole. :-)
I think Brent would be a fun guy to hang out and have a beer with, but his latest opinion on gun control has cause me to lose respect of his sense of reality. Which is sad because I really like him as an actor. Apparently he has not learned any of the interlaced lessons of society (i.e. good guys with guns/weapons protect themselves and others from bad guys with guns) from the very show he was a part of. www.examiner.com/article/star-trek-actor-brent-spiner-bemoans-setback-of-assault-weapon-ban

And you kinda did, brent. You really stole that show.
Such dedication! Ignoring the major earthquakes AND the after shocks they keep the fans happy

I think there a definitely ways to balance the two, but still... not everything is about "starship go whoosh"
Star trek is cool
Brents a riot...luv when he does Picard...
... And he did.
Data Trek!
Brent way to go!
I have that same ringtone on my phone. LOL
I wish someone asked Dorne if he was a merry man. XD
XD Yes!
Brent: Let JJ Abrams do Star Trek and Star Wars, he is a good director...
All of us: Oh Brent, if only you knew 😞
star trek rocks
Shake it Baby, shake it!
Set phasers on wide angle stun Mr Worf!
Spiner in his natural element is Good Lorn.
FOCUS!

Don't ya just love it when a few people just HAVE to run down front to get a good video, and everyone else has to film THEM in the shot, too?
Spiner had a point about Abrams. He was competent enough to managed to turn 2 franchises into dumpster fires.
BOND just marked 60 years; why wouldn't STAR TREK be any different ?
So what was the drug situation on the set like?
why is Evander Holyfield on the panel?
EldestSauce lol, that shit fell flat!
whats the question at 4:23?
+Yoni123 I think she asked about Worf's pimple, if it was real or not. Something like that...
+911ambulancegirl yeah I actually got it on a third listen (somewhat)
upload more
Holy fuck. I didn't recognize Worf!
He's so... UnWorfy. He even sounds different
He made a Greta point about NOT doing anything to destroy the drill on Vulcan I mean the Vulcans .. so advanced and yet so slow and defenseless
Michael Dorn would be great at #CinemaSins @CinemaSins :D
JJ Abrams is better with Science Fantasy than he is with Science Fiction. He should stay with Star Wars and stay out of Star Trek. Not a bad director just fits differently in the directing industry.
dorn's answer to the pimple questions XD
around the 2:20 is a faint whisle an eerie space whisle and that was funny.
someone has a doctor who theme ringtone

hear brent sing , sultry voice...Lyndwyn Soong on youtube
Yes they did. Nero blew up all the ships sent to stop him
So there's not a single ground defense on Vulcan?
Dorn just desyroyed the jj Abrams movie in seconds
He totally did steal thw show though ❣

JJ Abrams is hype city, his star trek and star wars projects were shit.
TFA was terrible. it literally put its plot on pause for the entire second act and then some.
Apathetic Apparition The first act setup a plot about finding Luke. the second and third acts were about something else entirely until the very end.
Apathetic Apparition it's got a really shitty first act that doesn't set any thing up for the second act, then.
Apathetic Apparition No.
stopped watching because i couldn't take the cameraman's incessant noise making and nose breathing.
camerabroad isn't a dude
I wished it had been still, but if some fan with a camera hadn't taken that and shared it, I couldn't have watched it, so I opted for gratitude over being an asshole. :-)
nek minnut
Michael Dorn knows the deal, Brent Meh... JJ has no ability to have an original idea for anything.
JJ Abrams is a good director?? WTF??
He is, he's just a really thoughtless writer. They should have delayed The Force Awakens and given Michael Arndt the time he asked for.
I really don't like the new Star Trek that is out there. Too advanced for the time it is set in..
Worst....filming....ever....
I do not care for jj abrams
Jar Jar Abrams ruined both franchises.....

Well, actually... Guns against guns, no matter if they're used for good or wrong, only inspire to fire.
If given a choice to face a bad guy with a gun with me being armed or unarmed, I will choose to be armed.
saltyshellback It's just a flesh wound!
