Ive never seen any of your videos but stumbled upon this one :) Glad you're ok! When dealing with packing in a wound its always a good idea to spray water on it to moisten the cloth packing because then it loosens the scabby stuff so it dose not "rip" or feel like "your spine was being ripped out" just a tip for if anyone ever has a wound to be packaged. I had a amazing ER doctor tell me that when I almost does recently. I had a splinter or something in my right hand thumb get REALLY infected. So I saw my family doctor he lanced the wound and drained out some nasty stuff. Gave be basic antibiotic and some percocets for pain. I waited for another month for a follow up with him unfortunately it started getting REALLY bad! So I made an emergency appointment with another doctor at his practice and the second she saw my thumb she told me there was nothing she could do and to rush to the ER asap! So I went to the ER and the doctor lanced it again. My thumb literally looked like a hotdog that had been cooked to long and half way exploded in the microwave . Thats how bad the infection was! The ER transferred me to a better hospital about twenty miles away. Where I saw a specialist. She showed me an X-ray of my thumb and bone was literally being eaten away by this infection. I no longer have a bone in the very tip of my thumb :( I had to stay in the hospital for about three days getting very special and very expensive IV antibiotics. It was lame. The doctor even told me that it was life threatening. And could spread or something... Im lucky. They where going to have to keep me a few extra days but luckily my blood work came back and I was well enough to leave on the third day :) the after care was horrible!! I had to pack my own wound at home! Yuck! It sucked. Twice a day having to take out the packing put peroxide in the wound which hurt like hell and replace it! Boy am I glad I made it though that!!

I was In 3ed grade and I was in a bunk-bed, I fell out of the top and smashed my head on the nightstand and I had a massive gash in my head and my mom was terrified of blood and my dad was in the basement and is a wavy sleeper so he didn't hear any of this, so I had to try and stop the bleeding that wouldn't stop running out of my head and then my mom handed me some gauze and told me to wrap it around my head so I did then we went and woke my dad up and we went to the hospital, I had to get 23 stitches and they said if I had fallen from any higher or even landed at a differnt angle I would have hit my ocular nerve and wouldn't be able to see

I was climbing a tree and I slipped. Then my leg starts hurting but not that bad because it was numb I have a look at my leg and there is a massive hole. I'm shaking because I was so scared blood is going everywhere and I'm in hospital and they say it was about a 1mm away from a major artery and if it hit the major artery I would have bled out.

  • @owenneely2398

Okay so about a year ago my dad was at work and he fell off a 10 foot ladder. and at that time it was about 9 in the morning and I wake up to my mother crying her eyes out, and I'm just asking around what is going on with mom? About a couple minutes later my mom tells me "your father fell off a ladder and could possibly die" those words struck me like a rock. He was immediately tooken to one of the best hospitals in the state. he was taken to intensive care and I understand how your mom must have felt like, he was in a coma for about 3 months and at that time I couldn't see him because my mom told me that he wouldn't want us to see him like that. I couldn't sleep at night and when I did I had to sleep with my mom cause it was traumatizing, and I was 12 I usually slept in my room but I couldn't. When I was able to see him there was a bunch of tubes in him and he couldn't even talk. Eventually he got better and I still always ask my mom will dad ever get better and she answers with he is better than he was a year ago, and that always bring a smile to my face.
