I am not religious but that does not mean I hate her singing. She should have been respectful, but I would not be hating for something as silly as singing. But maybe I would ask her to sing something else. It is better than a baby screaming next to you.

It's a public place and not everyone enjoys music. She shouldn't sing out loud and disturb others. Other passengers were quiet that says they need her to shut up. How hard is it for people to be respectful and shut up until you get to your destination. The flight attendant is correct.

The audacity of some people. PERSONALLY, It was rude of her. I've experienced whining toddlers on flights, which is annoying. However, this ADULT should follow the rules and ve respectful of everyone on the aircraft.

Dude, if I want silence after being tired from getting to the airport to hop on a plane the last thing I want to hear is someone buzzing in my head with that noise. That's so obnoxious. It's if someone forced bad art on you and you had no escape but to watch it until they where done showing it to you.

“I just found out I’m up for 2 Grammys, you guys” she said aloud, directing her words down the aisle of the quiet plane. She sat back with a grin on her face, relishing in the applause she had just manufactured.
She had thrown her fishing line out amongst the travelers and they were biting. She was ecstatic. The whole plane would know just how important she really was.
Her name wasn’t actually listed on the Grammy nomination but she knew the only way to get the recognition she wanted was to take credit for her bandmates work. The weary travelers in coach wouldn’t know the difference and she could be helmed as a celebrity, if only for a 2 hour flight.
As the applause died down, she thought to herself, “I’m finally famous.”

When you're on the plane, you respect what the staff tell you, unless it's blatantly wrong and threatens you.
In this case, if I was on the plane, I probably wouldn't want to be stuck listening to her. She's not above everyone else. She can sing when she gets off the plane and to her destination if she wants to.

Honestly, if I’m flying then I want peace and quiet. If I want to listen to music, I’ll put on headphones and listen to my own music. She needs to calm down her ego. Not everyone wants to hear live singing.

This woman was being inconsiderate towards the other passengers on the flight. The flight attendant was correct to address the situation. Many people need to get comfortable and rest while traveling. It's rude to not consider everyone on board. Just because several people might be entertained by it, doesn't mean everyone is.
They weren't traveling yet. The flight was delayed, so as long as she is respectful and willing to stop if she's annoying anyone, I don't see it as a huge problem.

She should obey the crew, as the video pointed out. You're right. I just don't see why this is such a big deal for her to be singing. She asked very politely if she could continue because the passengers were enjoying it (wether they were or not I don't know) and he said "well I'm not enjoying it", so his whole reason wasn't even anything to do with the passengers.

Indeed. She sounds beautiful. Beautiful., but with today's airport climate of outrageous passengers, when your god asks you to sing you need to be more discerning with the interpretation of that message. Her god may have meant sing to yourself child, but her god did not mean be defiant with the steward, continue singing and get kicked off the plane.

She is the wrong. Even if her voice is pleasant. Flight crew is there for the safety of the passengers and to give instructions. When they ask for it, you must give them your attention. I agree that the flight attendant may have been a bit rude with how he handled telling her to be quiet but also her singing was a bit cringe 😳 my anxiety would be through the roof if strangers in such a close proximity to me heard me singing away like that 🙃
It’s obvious that the clip is in the middle of the drama. Guaranteed that’s not how he initially approached her. And since the clip comes from someone sitting next to her it’s likely she released it clipped to seem as much the victim as possible.

The fact that she told everyone she was nominated for a Grammy, which she actually wasn't, shows arrogance, along with complete disregard for the other passengers on the plane. The fact that nobody answered her when she asked "what do you all think?" tells me that contrary to what some people have commented, the majority of people on that plane were not interested in hearing her sing. But really, whether they were, or not, is irrelevant. Airlines have rules about being disruptive, being loud, infringing upon the rights of other passengers, etc. She was asked repeatedly not to sing by a flight attendant, and chose to do so anyway. She should have been removed rom the flight. And BTW, trying to justify it by saying God is telling her to sing, and she's singing gospel songs, has absolutely no bearing on it. She can sing gospel in her own home, her car, in her church...but she can't sing it on public and/or mass transport where she's disturbing others who paid for their tickets, just as she did.

I'm gonna give a controversial take here: i think she should've been forced to stop singing but not because the flight leader told her to. Think about why she would do this, not saying her singing is bad, it's not! But think about why. She needs validation, her ego is inflated and she might even be a little insecure and must put herself above others in public and do something kinda "outside the rules of social norms" in order to feel secure and validated with herself. She should be stopped because we can't give her that validation. We can't have people thinking they're above anyone else and don't need to respect others.

Well, the singing could have distracted their movies or their sleep on the plane.
That flight attendant wanted to storm her off that plane. Entertainment world has gone to this woman's head. Not everyone wants to hear you sing. I'm sure the reason most of those passengers didn't say anything, was probably because they were either just being polite, or didn't feel like being in the middle of something, when they were only trying to get to their destinations......peacefully.
If the passengers want to hear music, they'll put headphones on & choose their own. This is ridiculously disrespectful to everyone around her.
