My Dystonia Origion Story:
Long Sinister Story Short…
1977, I was still 9 years old - almost 10.
Non-diluted Paraquat saturated the carpet I sat on for several hours. (In my underwear)
I also injested it.
I dropped a bite of dinner, spaghetti in fact, on the rug & freaked out when I realized I accidentally ate it. Ewe!
(I could not eat or smell Spaghetti for years without getting sick after this incident.)
When I got up, my arms & legs were oily, it felt like my baby oil ‘sunscreen’ so I rubbed it in.
I immediately left to spend the night with a friend but started vomiting within the hour.
I returned home and ended up watching myself through the mirrored tiles on my bathroom ceiling.
I continued to vomit bile and lower intestinal marerial. Yeah, it’s what you think it is. I had difficulty with the idea of eating the spaghett from the floor…so yeah… it was gross.
I lost control of my motor skills and could not put cohesive words together. My entire body, inside and out seized to stone and I died.
Yes, you read that right. I died.
I had the entire welcome to heaven experience.
I was given the option to stay or come back.
I was brought back and later woke up in an ice bath at the hospital with a heart rate of 4.
(Shout out to my cousin, Jeremy, who Literally saved my life. Thank you cousin, I love you❤️ My amazing son & grandons would not be here without you being my angel.)
The doctors said “This is going to do something to you, we just do not know what.”
Well, now it is 2024, I am still 56, almost 57
I can tell you now, it is slowly doing to us what it is doing to the bugs.
It is a long drawn out hellacious internal torture by your own nervous system - where you often say “Today would be a great day to die.”
I have lived with the symptoms of Dystonia since I was 9 years old.
I was Diagnosed with Dystonia at the age of 54.
It has been a Life of Hell that I have Kept Secret.
The mis-diagnossis, mis-prescriptions , indignant & ignorant treatment from healthcare providers across the nation has been eye opening to say the least.
Doctors can only suggest what they sell. So you have to find a doctor who is selling your sustainable solution.
