I am enjoying it immensely, I am currently going down the Imperial Guard way of playing the mod and my soldiers are making the God Emperor proud with their performance by crushing the forces of chaos with the weight of their corpses :)

I am installing the mod again(bored from lockdown) and I completely forgot I had watched this video before. I was thinking to myself oh i should like this video but i saw it was already liked. I figured wow must have done that without thinking. So then I thought I should leave a supportive comment, only to find I already did, a year ago lol. Back to purging for me!
Good instructional video, easy to follow
I extracted the mod to the my documents; mods folder like the video said but it wont appear in the mods menu in the game. I tried copying the files to the mods folder in the user folder in the actual game install location but that meant the game didn't launch properly. Where did i go wrong? Please help

Hi very good tutorial, just wanted to ask do I need to patch og xcom to latest patch before installing oxce? Or any versión works?

Needs an update on where the Mods folder is, since it is now in the users Documents folder, by default. If inside the options menu, there is a section for Folders, where you can see and/or change it. Was going absolutely mad, because all text instructions, AND video, refer to a, now mythical, mods folder, inside the installed directory.

hey i did exactly what you said and i dont have the 40k drop down when i click on the game type?
Can you post a link to or send me a copy of the openxcom.log file created when you run the game, and maybe an image of what your Documents/openxcom/mods/ directory looks like?

How do you install the latest version of OXCE? I try to install the APK and it just keeps giving me "App not installed" errors. OXCE is definitely compatible with my tablet because I've been running an older version for over a year.
I just want to play this 4Ok and the X Files mod, someone help me!
It should be installed the same way as you did before, I have it running on my phone. Try completely removing the old version of OXCE and doing a fresh install. I used a third party file browser to manually copy the UFO files into the right place.
Inquiry: Where do I obtain OXCE 5.5.1? Since I am incapable of finding it to acquire the newest version of 40k, said version being v21, because for the life of me I am incapable of finding it
Use 5.5, 5.5.1 can be found from a more recent build but I forgot to check what the main OXCE release was before sending out version 021. I'll fix it when I get back from vacation.
Game crashes on startup giving this error with V31 of the 40k mod.
Reinstalled it 5 times and still getting this exact error, RIP.

Version 031 of the mod is not up-to-date with the latest version of OXCE, 7.4. You can solve this by either downloading an earlier OXCE, like 7.3, or in the game's options.cfg file, find the line with "oxceModValidationLevel" and reduce the value there to 0.

I don't know of any, and I don't have the tools to record an Android install. However, if you either PM me on the OpenXcom forums or ping me on the mod's discord server, I can get you in touch with someone who has experience with Android installs.
@@ohartenstein2368 I somehow managed, with some guidance ftom the forum. Runs VERY well on android. Two gripes tho.. I wish you could rotate and zoom the view during battles. Also I'm using a smartphone .. The view is rsther small. Think it'd be ideal for a 10 inch tablet tho .

Turn up the volume then - I can't boost the mic's gain more without getting distortion.

Hey can you point me to where the facilities.rul is located? The only one i can find is the IG version.
The facilities ruleset is contained in the terrain_40k.rul file.
