Hey everyone, I will make a follow-up video, but the problem was the throttle position sensor, or "Accelerator Pedal Sensor" malfunctioning. I replaced it. According to my records, this was the part I purchased from RockAuto: www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1514402&cc=1432618&pt=5061&jsn=9 Be sure to verify it is the correct part for your vehicle-I'm not a professional so don't hold me liable!
Is the hesitation still fixed with throttle/gas pedal sensor? Was heat a factor? Was it hot out/ A/C not working when problem began? My 2005 Accord 2.4 i4 manual experienced same problem just today… I unplugged battery negative and it went away, along with the check engine light that turned on as soon as it started intermittently stumbling
I think it's the rocker arm oil control valve or variable valve timing solenoid if this isn't working right you won't be able to pass 3000 rpm I changed it and it was easy and it fixed my issue which was the same as yours
My vehicle is a 2004 Honda accord v6 3.0 automatic I have a similar problem. When I drive normally, the gear shifts smoothly. When I give full throttle, like full acceleration, the RPM goes high, but the gear does not shift. What should I do? If you have this issue, please let me know
So is it the trany my ran over a puddle yesterday I tried to swerve but it was to late my 05 accord started misfiring the gear feels like it slips when I press the gas the rpms go up like if I was reving it but it doesn’t drive until acouple seconds later or I’ll have to pull over also when I’m stopping the motor jumps I check the oil i there’s no way that water got in it because my air filter is on the other side any insight anybody??? I was so happy with my car I just got it 😭 (no check engine light)
Hi my friend, I cleaned the throttle body and rest by scan tool but the problem after 2 days when I shift the gear to R or D the RPM low and vibration if A/C work the vibration strong, I do rest again, after 2 or 3 days the problem came again.
Obv u need to check the code on the engine and it looks like the throttle body it’s not shifting correctly and it sits at 1,100 rpm when idle in park and if it’s not the throttle body it’s the tps sensor
The problem with my 2010 8th gen V6 coupe is from a standing to a sudden heavy acceleration it bogs down looses electric power for a few milliseconds and stalls but keeps going not enough to have to reset the radio or thing it’s like someone removed the negative battery cable and threw it back on the dash flashes while doing this
Mine does the same thing but it smacks and jerks way harder then urs does it pulls u and jerks u hard then goes and it still don’t go that fast the engine gets loud and just goes
Looks almost like my problem, have you figured out yet? Because I had bought a 2006 Honda Accord ex 2.4L i4 automatic transmission and it came with 99,000 miles but now I have put over 5,000 miles on it (104,000)and its perfect condition well maintained from me and the past original owner. The issue I’m having is that when I want to accelerate it feels like it doesn’t and I see my RPM struggling to past 3000. I can get to 65 on the freeway but it takes a while. The transmission feels smooth and shifts fine. I have clean my mass airflow sensor, bought a new throttle body and EGR valve but I still have the problem. Any clue what could be?
Francisco Farias ua-cam.com/video/ndcGNbc-uyY/v-deo.html Try cleaning the idle air control valve. They sometimes stick open or close. Take some break cleaner or throttle body cleaner to it.
Francisco Farias had a sluggish and no check engine light so I removed the oxygen sensor and it ran good so I gutted out the catalytic converter and that was it
Well mine is 2007 Accord 2.4 and initially, in November 2018 I had a P2646 Code show up and the car couldn't go above 80kph or above 3000rpm - I added Seafoam and ran the car for about 200km them changed the oil, and replaced the VTEC filter (the one right behind the belt tensioner) that took care of that problem as it seems like it was just dirty oil. NOW (August 2019) I am having my check light popping on when I accelerate and I am also not feeling my VTEC kicking in as per usual! It lazily goes up to 100 kph but seemingly without VTEC. My OBDII is giving me the P1009 code, so I took out the VTC valve - cleaned and re-installed it drove for about 30 kilometers and the light is back on... I ordered a VTC valve from Rock Auto last night August 5, 2019) and should get it by this Friday - Weather permitting, I will install on Saturday and test... NOT SURE WHERE YOUR PROBLEM LIES - but I will update us the outcome of my project in this regard. Best of luck in the meantime!
I am haveing the same issue. Removed the 1st 02 sensor nothing still the same. Checked coverter by seeing how hot got normal readings.. it gave me a p0420 code but i ran cataclean the check engine light went off but still know power past 3000 3500 rpm.
Honda 2008 accord 2.4l with 122k miles. RPM goes up when trying to accelerate. It takes a while to accelerate. Cars behind me get annoyed due to my car’s sluggish acceleration. Any thoughts?
So is it the trany i ran over a puddle yesterday I tried to swerve but it was to late my 05 accord started misfiring the 4th gear feels like it slips when I press the gas the rpms go up from 2 to like 5 rpm in 1 second (like if I was reving it in park) after it slips I usually let go of the gas or pull over it doesn’t drive until acouple seconds later or I’ll have to pull over and turn off the car also when I’m breaking the motor jumps I check the oil i there’s no way that water got in the motor because my air filter is on the other side any insight anybody??? I was so happy with my car I just got it 😭 (no check engine light)
I think it my brakes actually, it felt like a misfire but I scanned and there were no misfires recorded and I realized the car sways side to side at 60mph, i think it might be a stuck brake causing the engine to use more power to accelerate against the brake

Ok I have a check engine on and it’s only Bc my o2 sensor 😂
Clean em but when that don't change any thing hollow out your exhaust system more accelerating and less restricted
Could be a partially restricted exhaust or failing oxygen sensors
damn that might be the problem with mine lol
Throttle position sensor mine did it too
And it fixed the check engine light too?
Mine do this in 3,4,5 was the prob???

You might new new engine mounts if your engine is moving and that won't trip a code
What are you even showing exactly ...you are confuse
Your catalytic converters is probably clogged.
I guess you are not driving on D
Bruh the engine is cold.. let it warm up
Check your transmission solenoid. It might be clogged

ua-cam.com/video/ndcGNbc-uyY/v-deo.html It’s the idle control valve. It gets carboned up and sticks. Take it off and take some brake cleaner into it.
