My grandfather wrote this song he worked at a depot station and one of the men from the band came and when my grand parents went to sleep he stole alot of his music and this song was one he wrote this about my great grand ma after they divorced
Omg, this is the first time I hear this song.. at first I thought it was boaring, but after listening a while I really liked it! Beautiful lyric and melody. Creds to them!
My daughter, now 36 says when she hears this, she remembers being 5 and me, with a terminal bowel disorder, laying in my hospital bed with her head on my chest. I'd rub her little hair and sing this to her 😢 She always cries remembering those hard years
Yes, had they not split for that period of time they would have had an even bigger career. At that point in time people believed in loyalty and that short break up made fans feel betrayed. So weird by today’s standards.
My name is Michael Fee. I was kidnapped by my mom along with my two younger sisters when I was nine years old. We were taken down to Carrizozo New Mexico. Myself and three of my cousins are playing basketball at my uncles house and this big tour bus looking thing passes by. At bout Highway 52 or 54, I can’t remember. And then a couple minutes later it pulls up along or a small town with dirt everywhere in tha neighborhood. It was you guys! You guys said that you were with a band called blah blah blah(Highway 101), and you asked myself and my two or three cousins if you could film us playing basketball and we said yes. Are you guys who filmed us on camera and y’all left. Thank you for the awesome experience. About a year later I seen us on one of your videos. But I can’t find it nowadays.

With all due respect to linda ronstadt and emmylou Harris this woman could sing like no other. What a classic voice.
I AGREE Love Her singing and stage prescence and Beauty
This woman is so underrated...her voice is right up there with Loretta and Tammy, plus it’s pure magic to see her perform!
