Rob's ranking so far: Guatemala; Gabon; Ghost Island; Edge of Extinction; Africa; Marquesas; Fiji; South Pacific; Nicaragua; HHH; Worlds Apart; Game Changers; Vanuatu; Samoa; One World; Caramoan; All-Stars; Island of the Idols; Redemption Island; Thailand Winners by average rank (of the discussed seasons so far): Kim; Rob; Sarah; Earl; Cochran; Brian; Wendell; Chris D.; Sophie; Ethan; Vecepia; Tommy; Mike; Danni; Amber; Ben; Nathalie W.; Fabio; Bob; Chris U.
I had this season ranked #25. I think everyone remembers this season for the Big 3 who returned to become all stars (Ethan, Lex, and Tom). I will say T-Bird definitely is probably one of the better strategists in the season, and I was surprised that we got Kimmi and Jeff back for Second Chance, but we didn't get her. Overall, I thought the pre-merge wasn't that bad, but I just thought the Samburu tribe was quite pathetic, especially Silas. Outside of T-Bird and probably Kim Powers, I didn't really think that highly of any of the other members. I thought Boran was a better built tribe, and that led them to making better decisions late in the per-merge. I thought the move to get rid of Silas was great by Ethan, and Lex's witch hunt on Kelly was good. After the Kelly boot, I felt like things slowed down a lot in the post-merge up until Lex and Tom's argument. I thought Ethan was a very likeable winner, and his social game really showed it. Overall, this season isn't the greatest strategically, but it still has some pretty decent moments. This season has a very stunning location, and the layout of the camps help make this season unique.
Just finished this season for the first time (I think I start all of my comments on these this way 😅) and it’s really surprising that Australia is rated higher. Granted it isn’t by much but Africa felt more engaging and we finally get some real strategic play. Lex as the anti-hero is awesome and the cast overall is so fun to watch. The wildlife alone was incredible to see and it’s so lacking in the newer seasons. I wish they would go back to the continent and explore another region… we had Kenya and Gabon but there are endless possibilities! I am glad we don’t have the quizzes in the modern era… that is not as interesting to me. Also unpopular opinion: I find idols and advantages far more interesting than the constant split votes. Great podcast as usual 🥰
about time AO is on here, it was so damn boring and half the cast aren't that great, at least nowadays they aren't. Also can we have Haley do another ranking on here she was fun
I'm not convinced the guests want to be here, lol where is the chemistry? Are they fans of the show? They have some cool facts & lore but the energy is so low besides off topic jokes.
Like I said in part 1, I just don't see how anyone could be a fan of Lex. All he ever did was throw temper tantrums every time he got a vote cast against him or a taste of his own medicine in both of his seasons. Whenever that would happen, Ethan, Big Tom, Kym Johnson, or Kathy would always change his diaper. I read Kelly's interview with Entertainment Weekly back in September. I can't believe she doesn't regret not sending Brandon home on day 18. Had that happened, he wouldn't have voted her off six days later. Lex would never have been on 'All-Stars' if he had placed 9th. Brandon's reasons for voting off Kelly were stupid. He didn't want to vote the same way as Frank, but he and Frank both voted off Clarence three nights earlier.
@@JeanValjean875 His flaws are very negative though. He came across as immature and hypocritical. 99% of the time in his voting confessionals at the tribal councils he was constantly trashing people.
Next time you split the podcast. Have a break and change your close. I hate the split pod cast. Now I don't have time to watch the next one. The weekend works for me,
Survivor 42: The Lindsey who doesnt suck
I really like Lindsay Wilson. Glad she’s on this podcast.
I’m Haley when Rob was explaining the winner averages 😭😭😭

Gotta close at work tonight on our slowest day of the week. At least this is here and long enough it’ll cover me down the worst stretch

I could have sworn on the Talking with T bird Kellie Goldsmith said she had a piercing when she was younger

Why is it two parts?
Yeah please don’t split the podcasts into two... hopefully you got lots of feedback along the same lines.
A spoon/fork/knife is a sporf.
I think Dans on Survivor may be worse than Lindseys. Not on placement, just...well, you know

So does anyone know why this was split into 2 parts?
I think Rob mentioned in the beginning of part 1 that doing 4 hours of live streaming non-stop isn’t that ideal.
“Too long”

I think people like Lex cause he was unique, not necessarily because he was a "great guy." Flawed characters are interesting.
