This video was super helpful in giving me the confidence to pull the heater out, take it apart and put it back together again. Appreciate it's 4 years later, but thank you for filming this.
Hello my friend. I live in Greece and there is no technician for the heater. My problem is that the gas does not come to the chamber. The lighter is ok and when it finally lights on after many many tries it burns out of the focus. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you !!
i have a treumatic sl3002 what is the difference with a s3002? mine has a electronic box with battery's in it that i allready have cleaned (contact spray and sandpaper contact until its clean) the electronic box doesnt click (sends spark to the sparkplug) i allready put a wire bridge over the 2 pins (eliminating the switch on gasvalve) but still doesnt clock spark. can it be the electric box or the sparkplug? if the sparkplug is bad and the electric box is ok should i hear the clicking sound or not? thanks for this vid
Very useful, for diy! Do tou know if the burner handles LPG(propane) or it only burns CNG(butane)? I wonder if i can use it on both, since the lpg appears to resists better in cold weather... Thank you
Yes it can. Northern european countrys use only LPG. There might be jet pinhole size modification, however optimal jet hole size difference is rather small and affects mostly warming effeciency.
Thank a lot for going through the effort of doing all that on camera, i got tired just watching :). Do you have any idea what could be the cause for gas smelling inside the RV but only when on very low heat - like 1 or 2 out of 10 ? I'm thinking of disassembling mine as well, that's why I'm watching your clip but don't know exactly what to look for. Did that main gas connection have any o-ring of any sort? Or is it just metal on metal?
Vent/flue may need o-ring seal replacing, but better to get a gas engineer to test and always have an in date and tested carbon monoxide alarm. I believe the jets have a brass olive that create the seal.
@@davidmullins1270 Thanks a lot David for the quick reply. I couldn't stand it anymore and started digging - I took the cover off looking for that main gas connection you have in your clip - couldn't find it so went under the caravan and found it there, it was going straight down and the connection was under the caravan unlike your truma. Of course, the second I put my head under the caravan I could smell gas, a lot more than inside the caravan. I realised that because i was using the fan inside, the ventilation of the truma, it was sucking in the gas from under the caravan. I prepped a glass with foam and started coating everything if soap foam and found the leak - it was exactly at that main connection. Found some tools, disconnected that, just rubbed it a little with my finger to get any dust off of the connection and plugged it back in and tightened it as much as I could and resoaped it - no more leaking :). You video helped me, I knew what to look for, so thanks a lot!
@@lecsu131 thanks for all that info. I've got a mild gas smell inside my 2010 Bailey Pageant Monarch Series 7 but one of the bottles is just coming right to the end so I'm wondering if it's that but I think i ought to get a detector as I've had a periodical sore throat and sleepy too but I'm on painkillers but DEFINITELY a gas smell. Not overly but enough. Thank you
Ciao laia si è staccato il filo del bulbo dal blocco nero , si può saldare ? Con che materiale ? Praticamente il bulbo e il filo so e staccato dalla stufa

These are built to last, so may always be relevant.

Excellent video! What's the part at 12.25? I think mine is faulty.
Very useful! Thanks!!

Hola, la mía le cuesta que la llama se mantenga encendida, será por falta de limpia?
Gracias

the battery box was an issue for me originally, the contacts to the battery box and new batteries resolved the problem

You did not clean the burner and the pilot so it s a pity to go so far and not finish the job😢😢😢
Vous avez toujours une main qui cache....
Unfortunately hands are in the way, and it would have been helpful to have had some commentary?
Ich bin auch sprachlos
