5 major foundational artists (Crowe, Rice, O'Connor, Grisman and a VERY YOUNG Douglas) in one single stage. They all have influenced how their respective instruments are now played. Thank you Mark, from a Berklee grad that found true love in flatpicking.

I could -- and have -- listen to that man play banjo all day long. I guess my age is showing but I had forgotten that J.D. Crowe had passed away last year. In my mind there's only been one other that makes it look easier and sound better but I never saw him play Blackjack and when I'm in the mood for some high tempo bluegrass this is the one I turn to. RIP J.D. and Tony. Two of the finest to exist.

The Tony Rice and Jerry Douglas runs were completely ridiculous. And now I know why Bela says that JD was one of this key influences.

I was watching the first time this aired in 1990. I didn’t know anyone playing. But I’ve been studying each one’s work since then. Thanks for posting Mark!

The intro section and outro of this song takes a step towards sounding like Greek music. That was fun to hear

I´mnot sure, what is David Grisman play on his mandolin, maybe it´s great, but it´s not as melodic to this song, I don´t know. I know Sam bush style playing, so I can´t compare this with his style, It´s almost same what plays Roland White playing, a that is a bulshit
