@sigspearthumb144 I like the index a lot but I don't have any experience with other headsets so it's hard for me to say. I do not use a gunstock though
"Doing the room temperature challenge" has to be one of my favorite euphemisms for death. Right alongside "Getting turned into a chalk outline", "Going to see your ancestors", "Getting folded like sunday laundry" and "Getting turned into a twitter bio".
You can really tell the production quality has gone up significantly. I especially loved those illustrations on how to use the knives effectively. Amazing content as always! Keep it up!
I honestly stuck with the machete at first to slash enemies, but found it more cumbersome and also didn't want to lose it. At some point, I switched to sticking to knives because I could throw them better and with less concern. Also they're lighter.
The Machete IRL also have two more uses. The handle is hollow, and the bottom has a cap so you can store things in the handle. I have no clue what you would store. Maybe loose rounds, or a tiny piece of paper. The blade was also commonly used as a ruler. I, again, have no clue how. Maybe they teach you how long the blade is and you can use it like that. I thought of buying one but they're pretty expensive. People have also complained the machete is a little unwieldly since the handle is hollow, and light. Edit: The handle is commonly used to store firestarters, and the blade is hard to sharpen since it's made out of Carbon steel. This, however, makes it good at prying.
ah, the good ol' can openers, (somewhat) reliable and good for taking down things silently. nice range video! so many of these have been made and they were extremely good and informative!
Watching back through these, because they're informative and kinda funny. Also, I know most people do prefer to keep their knife/machete in their left wrist, Connor Kenway style, because that's the default. I'd rather keep my knife/machete on the left of my chest. Two good reasons: 1. Ease of access for either hand to grab as needed. Especially for someone who rapidly swaps between primary long-arm, pistol, and second long-arm (occasionally) in an intense moment. 2. Resident Evil 4 VR muscle memory, considering just how much slashing and stabbing you do in that game.
Enough of the fun range stuff, we want to see you suffer(and in the process ragequit lol) Love the vid man, you're by far the best ITR creator there is.
Bro this was an amazing episode! I am loving eatching your videos on into the radious! Your the reason why I got into the game! Please keep playing it and beat the stalker mod! 🎉
Duct taping a knife to the barrel of your gun would be interesting, degrading the knife faster but ultimately doing more damage since your essentially wielding a spear.
2:04 knives can be repaired if you throw them into the repair locker, at least the spetsnaz knife does idk since knives are common anyway so its worth doing it for those anyway
Man the production quality spiking is very noticeable especially with the art drawing. Very useful for knife only which i highly recommend you do, though not with the stalker mod, that shit would actually be impossible. What are your pc specs? I'm looking to upgrade since I have a 1080ti and I've had it for 2 years now🤣. Would a 4060 ti laptop do or do you recommend the entire rig?
Definitely go with a desktop if you're doing vr, right now I have an i9-9900k, rtx 2080ti, 32gbs 3200mhz ddr4, all running off Samsung 970 Evo nvme. It gets the job done for now, but I want to upgrade
So for quest 2 pcvr what are the specs that I can use because my 3050 to runs bad so do I follow the website with all the specs listed exactly or what's your recommendation?
I can't be the only one that thinks the knifes are made out of glass or something, like every time I go on a mission I take like 5 knifes and I always break them all before get halfway through my outing. Also your production quality for these videos have been improving a ton, it feels like i'm listening to explorer 12 lmao, keep up the good work man!
How many knives would you reccomend to take out to the radius using these tactics? Before, i’d only really take out 1, just to deal with fragment cores and food, but ofc thats gonna break fast. Have you found a balance between weight and use?
I get most of my knives through looting and just keep them all on me, which isn't much of a burden since they are light and you go through them pretty fast. I try to keep 3 to 4 on me when going out on excursions
Great video, but a thing that i noticed while playing. Sometimes i interrupted a Fragment attack by attacking it in the middle of his attack. You or someone here noticed this?
idk if its quest exclusive but im able to repair knives just fine in gameplay so idk why u said combat knife cant be repaired (edit: also able to repair the machete ingame too, again no idea if its quest exclusive)
Stuttering and jitters can be cause by a lot of things in vr. Generally speaking though as long as your system is strong enough and you keep your background programs to a minimum it should be fine. There are also performance guides you can look up
In my haste last night I forgor to link the artist who did the illustrations seen in the video
twitter.com/gornthecorn?t=-TJmS2_r8yeM8KaISnt_7A&s=09
What headset do you use? I’m interested in getting a headset for steam vr and i’d like to see you’re opinion on things.
And if you use a gunstock what would you recommend?
@sigspearthumb144 I like the index a lot but I don't have any experience with other headsets so it's hard for me to say. I do not use a gunstock though
@@Synthetizard Yeah i was thinking the vive or the index but you should definitely look into a gunstock
@@sigspearthumb144 If you got the $, bigcreen VRs tiny headseat is probably the best one to get right now interms of comfort.

Great video, really liked the drawn skeches of the how to section. All in all great stuff my man
I honestly stuck with the machete at first to slash enemies, but found it more cumbersome and also didn't want to lose it. At some point, I switched to sticking to knives because I could throw them better and with less concern. Also they're lighter.
When I realized darts did damage they became my go too ammo saver, no durability, pretty cheap and can melee, until you lose em at least.
Really saving those 50 bucks
The illustrations look like something they should put in a strategy guide for the game made by the UNPSC
Absolutely love all the sketch pieces for the melee techniques.

@@Synthetizard Your welcome Techo-Lizard in an Altyn Helmet.
Hands down my favorite range video. The sketches, the demo’s, all fantastic bro
Had to make up for the last one being dogwater
I LOVE the illustrations. Such dedication!
7:58 that cackle and point is the kind of mood I am always in with this game haha
ah, the good ol' can openers, (somewhat) reliable and good for taking down things silently.
nice range video! so many of these have been made and they were extremely good and informative!
Just finished heart-rending end of the last stream and this popped up! Clutch synth drop!
amazing video just as always, also the slider takedown was clean
tbag stabbing spawns is another trademark synthetitard tactic
I can see why you said this one was your favorite range video to make! This one was absolutely so much fun to watch!
I just found your channel and I am soo thankful for the Range videos. Didn't understand anything about it at the beginning
Glad they are of some assistance to you
The second I come out of school I see this upload😂 great to see another upload👍
Perfect last episode of the range series. Very good stuff, never have thought to knife a slider.
Oh and btw now I want to see how you take your revenge on the sliders with the darts
Can't wait for what's coming up next!
I didn't know the knives penetrate armor. Now I do. This is going to be fun!
These videos have helped me alot in the game, ty
I love swatting the Spawns out. so fun & with Seekers you can block it's beam attack with the knives
Knives are just funky!!!
Yeah baby! Synth is here!!!!!!!!🎉

I've considered moving my knife to my chest for those exact reasons, but I just don't wanna deal with the change in muscle memory

I didn't think I had so much to learn about melee in particular
very cool video 👍 the drawings are amazing also
Loved the video, the sketches were an amazing touch! Sad to see the series is over tho😢
This is so incredibly well made, well done

Savage! I am so glad to find this video, thanks.
Never beat the game even with 100 hours and as someone who can’t commit to a save this is a great guide
Hello Synth, thanks for this amazing vid, after im done with my first itr run, ill try knife only and vanno cause of you
Also great stream clip use, loved the " do it pussy no balls" section hahaha
Nice, I really liked the drawings, made it feel like this is an official unpsc training viedo.
wow that was great! ty!

well done. thank you.
Man those sketches make me wish that we could find more than just paragraph’s in the radius
I hope we get some kinda sword in the sequel
1st. Spawns can be tricked into sticking on trees too.

Even with a medium weight pack you can just hold backwards to dodge a slider’s attack, no sprinting required
That didn't work for me even at light load
@@Synthetizard I feel like I’ve been doing that, but I’ll have to boot up the game and check
I’d like to warn people on quest that if you get close to a mimic to knife them they will still shoot. Especially annoying against gunners and swat
What about the Enemies of the Radius?
Soooooooon

Fragments can be stunned yes, as well as seekers
You should do a map breakdown
That's coming, but probably gon be a lil bit
@SynthetitardVR he got the whole ass road map I thought this was gonna end with the guns
