@Anthony Gonzalez Anthony, you will not believe me when I give you the answer. The short answer is they do not want to. Does this mean it's not physically and especially extremely stressful mentally? No, it does not mean that because it is hard physically but doable if you push yourself. The more in shape you are, the easier it is physically, no question. The largest stumbling block to most people is the mental stress. The Marines do this because they need to know you can handle a lot of stress carrying a loaded weapon or hand grenades, and you can throw a hand grenade without freaking out, dropping the damn thing next to you and other Marines and other things. The military is very stressful and boring as hell at other times. Sometimes you are separated from family and friends for a long time. Some people cannot handle that. If you believe in yourself and push yourself, you can do it. Again, that does not mean it is easy or will be easy. Boot camp may be easy for you, though in this respect or that respect in another respect, it was really hard but you got through it because you did not give up. I loved boot camp; most of it was very easy for me. I knew what was head games and what was real. I had run cross country in high school and was in good physical strength. I studies so marine corps stuff like rank etc before I went in, so everything was not new to me and a huge shock. I bought a .22 caliber rifle and practice shooting also. A BB gun would work if that is more workable; you could set up some hale bales or some other thing and buy or make targets and practice firing. You could go to an indoor firing range, buy a weapon, have your parents buy one for you, or rent one and fire it. Lots of options here if you do or do not own a weapon or know how to fire a weapon. Join the DEP program and do every poolie event you can do would also be very helpful to you. The most important thing is never to give up. If you break a leg or you know you are in trouble because of heat, then by all means get help. If it just hurts or you can't catch your breath for a few minutes keep going. Listen too your DIs if they say drink water, drink water. Drink lots of water all day long and at night before you do something the next day if it's hot out. Winter months are not time to slack off on drinking water either.
Don’t hate y’all, if you can’t take it don’t dish it! All the branches make fun of each other but we all respect each other and work towards a common goal!
I actually kind of liked Boot Camp. (MCRD San Diego 1982) It was tough but there were actually some funny moments to it, too. Great memories, for sure.
I've been doing 1-2 hours on the Exercise bike every morning. Followed with their core or upper body, and alternate that everyday for a workout. The CARDIO STAYS EVERDAY TRUST ME YOULL BE HAPPY YOU DID IT LOL
Yes sir I wake up with my buddy who ships out in June at 4 am every day to run 4 miles and then a body weight workout with crunches, pushups, and pull-ups
Alot of similarities to my training. Mad respect to Marines all day. I enlisted in army as a 31B (MP). We had almost 6 months of OSUT. Same instructors, same intensity and expectations throughout. We had to qualify with side arms. Also during combat, after the initial drill. Whoever we had beef with, we could pick who we wanted to fight against. Men and women trained together. Kind of messed up.. I remember one female could not pick up this other male trainee.. She broke down and started crying. Said "I can't do it." Drill's ran to her and smoked her for 35 mins. Great experience nonetheless.
During our Marine week we had a new Drill Instructor so we have to act like 1st phase recruits for him to get some reps at it, so we have to do all that getting counted down and doing the fuck fuck games but this time it was all fun tho since it’s kind of a rehearsal and the guy was pretty chill, gave us some tips on how to survive the fleet.
we had new DIs come in to but some couldn't really do anything to us because we were so far ahead that they didn't really have anything to mess us up for. It was kinda funny
are you in the barracks you should do the covid one my friend graduated 26 june now she’s in mct and i will see her hopefully in 15 days update i have not seen her probrably i won’t see her until she is granted christmas leave or next year sometime
There's a guy in my hometown who's a regular at the local American Legion outpost who joined the Corps at the end of Korea and the beginning of Vietnam and if you're not a marine he won't even pay any attention to you. He goes in there and he knows who all the Marines are and will just look directly at you and know if you're a Marine or not.
I'll never forget the contraband room when I went in back in 1982. We weren't allowed to say a thing! They made us put pens in our mouths so we couldn't sound off. Anyone caught talking had to go up front and sing!
Dont even tell them its your birthday. You prob wont even realize it they keep you busy. The worst part of Boot Camp was having fire watch once a night. I loved having first watch or last. Fire watch sucked but it was nice to have some time to my thoughts. Also, get used to pissin 3-4 per urinal and crappin with no door
10:24 that was one of my drill instructors. He was a scary ass dude but he was great at teaching. His eyebrows would do this thing when he was mad and it was terrifying.
Like video, I did not do crucible back in 95, but we were not called Marine until after graduation, my drill instructor told us before marching the parade deck we should graduate we suck and we were no good.
Ahhhh this brings back some intense, great memories XD I’d do it all again!! Mosquitos the least of your worries during PT. Don’t forget sand fleas in PI!
“ it’s 4 or 5 o’clock in the morning , you still sleep and shit , and you got a bald ass fucking head it’s humid asf so you already fucking sweating “ 😂💀
Glad to see they have eased up on the Marine recruits since I was there in June, July & August of 1967... LOL What no mention of our beloved sand fleas!
If you know anything about the MOS 4421 could you shed light on that? Is it an enlisted route or officer route? I’m highly interested. Or if you know someone can you get them to speak about it?
Old school, who you trying to shit Boot!, old school was 1963, last of the old school. We still had brown leather shoes, visors, and gloves.you guys were new school boots. Old school that's a laugh.
Mosquitoes?? Those are at Fort Jackson or something. We got sand fleas on the island. A mosquito bite is a kiss compared to sand fleas! 😂😂 Edit: love your channel man, just found it! Subbed already!👍👍
Trell! Avid viewer on your channel, just got out of bootcamp. If I can assist on anything as far as my experience let me know - you certainly lent the ideal hand 3+ months ago as I was going into MCRD San Diego.
you do too much lmao, you’re the only one who i’ve talked to that makes this seem crazy hard, clearly you had a rough time but other marines i talked to says it’s not as bad as you say🤣
Hello sire ! Im from Germany and play airsoft. I will reenact an us mc. What du think i wear the usmc eagle and ancor and the rank of an privat. Would it be okay?
Lol why are they hating? My recruiter says that each branch talks shit about each other all the time but it’s all love lmao. But great content man keep it up.
Question from an old Marine. Why are some of these Recruits wearing lighter Cammie's than most of the others? Idk even know if they still call them Cammie's, lol I stepped on those yellow foot prints on September 8,1992 and left the Island December 4,1992. Semper Fi Marine.
A lot of this stuff is the same as army BCT, but I gotta say most of it is a wilder, more intense version. It’s BCT on steroids, or crack. We even get an “eagle, globe, and anchor moment” but with a reward other than an eagle, globe, and anchor 😂
Guys let's keep the channel growing we're almost at 10K! Thanks for all the support.
I’m gonna become a marine brotha
@Anthony Gonzalez I don’t think so the thing that really counts is the last 3 weeks left because that’s the finals

Glad to see they have eased up on the Marine recruits since I was there in June, July & August of 1967... LOL What no mention of our beloved sand fleas!
The Sand fleas were reported as racists and DoD eradicated them under Ray Mabus.
Aye really love the videos bro, can we get a video of you reacting to SEALS and your general opinion on them?
Yeah for sure
In 1983 at 17 I be come a Marine. I still to to this day am PROUD
If you know anything about the MOS 4421 could you shed light on that? Is it an enlisted route or officer route? I’m highly interested. Or if you know someone can you get them to speak about it?
What is a 4421?
Trell the Great Judge Marine Corps Legal Services Specialist?
Just got back from boot camp, we didn’t do the Superman or Spider-Man in grass week & I was in India Co too
I enjoy yo videos man...can you talk about how COVID 19 affects the Marine Corp
Sure
Memories of old school boot camp, Oct-Dec 73, Plt 395, India Co 3rd Bn PI MCRD. Semper Fi from an old Marine Sgt...OUT.
Old school, who you trying to shit Boot!, old school was 1963, last of the old school. We still had brown leather shoes, visors, and gloves.you guys were new school boots. Old school that's a laugh.
I'm going to boot camp in May. wish me, luck guys.
The SDI at 25:00 ... number of ribbons = number of chevrons. Does that mean no deployments?
No
They made me hit the repell tower 4 times 2xs on the wall 2xs on the helicopter jump bc of hesitation lol
Mosquitoes?? Those are at Fort Jackson or something.
We got sand fleas on the island. A mosquito bite is a kiss compared to sand fleas! 😂😂
Edit: love your channel man, just found it! Subbed already!👍👍
Leaving end of this month... If they don't up on the phone I'm just gonna read that garbage anyway and hang up lol
Yooo this looks intense, kinda nervous now, I have enlisted to the marines leaving soon

Yeah that quarterdeck sum serious
Marine boot camp back in 1943 I heard the drill instructors would give "hands on" training back then...
Hahaha...yep, Quantico the same...zero dark thirty PT, humidity and mosquitos..
💯
Don’t apologize to the ❄️
😂
Trell! Avid viewer on your channel, just got out of bootcamp. If I can assist on anything as far as my experience let me know - you certainly lent the ideal hand 3+ months ago as I was going into MCRD San Diego.
Hey Trell, do you take the Marine PFT at the Marine Corps Bootcamp or before and at a different location? How does it work?
You take PFTs at bootcamp and once you hit the fleet. You have to do one every year
The SDI used to say like how you have to eat they have to eat to
Yo Trell would you not recommend going in the summer?
My dad always said,
“You’ll never find a fat Marine”.
Man got me at work cracking up😂 even got my ssgt going crazy
😂
Just graduated last Friday with mike company MCRD✌️🤘
you do too much lmao, you’re the only one who i’ve talked to that makes this seem crazy hard, clearly you had a rough time but other marines i talked to says it’s not as bad as you say🤣
Plan on going this year hopefully everything goes well for me.
Did you make it
Question from an old Marine. Why are some of these Recruits wearing lighter Cammie's than most of the others? Idk even know if they still call them Cammie's, lol I stepped on those yellow foot prints on September 8,1992 and left the Island December 4,1992. Semper Fi Marine.
Shit was real in 1987 when I went to Parris island all the DI's want to be Gunny on full metal jacket.
Why were those recruits getting out of a van during the day? They usually arrive in a coach bus at like 2AM
4:45 I'm joining marines and if they worse oh boy. But I got this. Do you have any tips? Hygienes and stuff like that?
You got this man, just dont give up
Damn I hear what you say about the life there and I’m ready for it. I leaned at a younger age, keep your hopes fucking low
A lot of this stuff is the same as army BCT, but I gotta say most of it is a wilder, more intense version. It’s BCT on steroids, or crack. We even get an “eagle, globe, and anchor moment” but with a reward other than an eagle, globe, and anchor 😂
Why do some recruits wear desert MARPAT and others wear Woodland? I thought they were supposed to wear the same thing when together?
😂I hated grass week and we did have Spider-Man’s (Plt 2028 Golf)
im a marine who fucked up royally in ITB and got discharged (Not dishonorable)
Im tryna re-enlist, and whoo boy, I sure hope i go back to bootcamp!
Good luck I hope you can to
Im terrified yet still wanting to so the marines when im old enough
Who leaves with me monday to San Diego?
I wish
Good luck
