I get it people hate these new ones really badly but these maps are beautiful ngl graphics are amazing so stop being blinded by nostalgia and understand that these are what u grew up with but with what u saw it as back then graphics wise
Activision's glory days were MW2 in 2009 to Black Ops 3 in 2015. Ever since.... I am convinced they don't do anything to improve themselves. They took notes from EA and just release the same game every year with little effort.
They killed the ambience and the specific map style/design art in most of them. Underpass is actually pretty nice but most of the maps are lacking the concept to generate that specific vibe each map had. The colour grading is a huge factor and MW2 had it on point in most maps, did mw3 even care about that? The series definitely peaked a while ago. A good warzone with mw2 style/map design would be great though!
At one time, CoD was criticized for staying behind the Battlefield graphically. Now we can say that that difference has decreased substantially. I would like to congratulate the CoD makers for this alone.
It feels like when u go on google earth and u use the time stamp thing on the address you searched up comparing how it looked before vs now and seeing how modernised and things changed over the years.
Ok this is just plain wrong lol😭 like I loved the old maps too, but literally frame by frame you can see so much more detail on every single surface of the new maps compared to the old. Like, watch the video again and just focus on a singular wall, object, window, sign. The textures, color, saturation, the amount of additional things like graffiti, debris, etc. is way higher in the new versions. Look at the bricks. In MW2 every brick was exactly the same, whereas in the new one, every brick, every wall, every surface is completely different. Yeah the atmosphere could be better and grittier, but saying the old one had more detail is just straight up clown shit lol
I notice a reduction of foliage/debris on the new maps. Overall, I like the new looks a lot. Fav new version is Skidrow. New version looks fantastic. My least favorite is rundown. Honestly looks like they never completed the remake, tons of trees and grass missing, etc. I think underpass at 19:19 and Skidrow at 32:19 are some really impressive transformations.

The original Terminal is supposed to take place after the "No Russian" mission. That's why there is luggage all over the place and there's blood on the floor in some places and the TV's are broken/ show static. The remake makes it look too clean and it's like they removed the No Russian reference. Also I think it's weird that in the Rust remake they have almost removed all of the rust.
It’s like in mw2 you can feel the pain in the wind passing you by. In mw3 all that is gone. If they can add the same passion and soul in mw3, mw3 would be the perfect remake
Old maps are better
The reason why we have MW2 maps in MW3 is fairly obvious: These were gonna be DLC for MW2.
I get it people hate these new ones really badly but these maps are beautiful ngl graphics are amazing so stop being blinded by nostalgia and understand that these are what u grew up with but with what u saw it as back then graphics wise
XDD?!
Activision's glory days were MW2 in 2009 to Black Ops 3 in 2015. Ever since.... I am convinced they don't do anything to improve themselves. They took notes from EA and just release the same game every year with little effort.
People always complain and are blinded by nostalgia. mw3 looks so nice
To me the only map that got downgraded was Rundown, the MW3 version feels empty
Wtf xDD
I'm not allowed to like the old maps?
They killed the ambience and the specific map style/design art in most of them. Underpass is actually pretty nice but most of the maps are lacking the concept to generate that specific vibe each map had. The colour grading is a huge factor and MW2 had it on point in most maps, did mw3 even care about that? The series definitely peaked a while ago. A good warzone with mw2 style/map design would be great though!
They ruined Rundown... smh
At one time, CoD was criticized for staying behind the Battlefield graphically. Now we can say that that difference has decreased substantially. I would like to congratulate the CoD makers for this alone.
I think the visibility is MUCH better in the old versions of the maps.
When you take "remember to always recycle" seriously.
I think they brightened up the maps a bit too much in my opinion. That’s also what would make them make more atmospheric like the originals.
Rust missing that hiding spot that was in the back they got like a door or something right there
It just looks so much more crisp and clean. I love it
Krazy played this overseas before it came out in USA 15 years ago 💯📈
Old maps on top, new ones are trash instantly.
Thanks for letting us know you're nostalgia blind
@@nutmegoneggnog7555 stop being delusional lol just because the older games doesnt mean you gotta inhale copium.
You got eye problems
@@Spicey-Nachoz lol, lot of the og MW2 squeakers are close to 30 now.
@@Spicey-Nachoz what does this have to do with my age though? Your just mad because you didnt play the older games.
It feels like when u go on google earth and u use the time stamp thing on the address you searched up comparing how it looked before vs now and seeing how modernised and things changed over the years.
the old maps had way more details, you clearly see that there is more love of detail... the new maps got rushed, you see it on every corner
Yeah the atmosphere could be better and grittier, but saying the old one had more detail is just straight up clown shit lol
its so cool to see how it changed back then these maps never get old either
Am I the only one who prefers the old version?
Ik this is controversial statement but I actually enjoy mw3's multiplayer over 2022's multiplayer, from both maps, and gameplay.
Same…i realized that during the beta, idk why but mw3 felt better thats why i purchased it
Y'know, I think the design team did a good job with all these maps. I especially love the touched up terminal.
Notice the minimap, MW2 had a perfect zoom for map coverage, while MWIII is zoomed in so close you barely have any intel at all. Dafuq
