Black Hole Sun and Spoonman are two of my favorite songs of all time and Live To Rise is a great track. I will definitely keep them in mind. Thanks for the comment and support :) Glad you enjoyed it!
The best way to mount stuff to cymbal stands is with any of the Pearl AX adapters AX-25 AX-25L or AX-28 or with the ADP-30 if you want to mount 2 things. You can search those product numbers with Pearl on guitar center com or musiciandsfriend com and they will pop up. Hope that helps!
When I used to gig with my HUGE ruby fade Export Elx setup, I would have to setup and tear down as quickly as possible. Those letters/numbers etc all allowed me to quickly pick up a boom arm/tom arm etc (i had about 10 different ones on that setup) and place it where its supposed to go. All of them had memory locks set so I could drop them in and they would be perfectly in the right place.
I used the 12" tom last time I did a similar configuration a few videos back, but I wanted a little bit of a higher tone to work with the really low tones of the floor toms. Thanks for the comment and the support! Have a great day!
Because it matches the e-Pro Live kit I wanted to get (and now have). I can combine the two and they look like the same kit. I'm getting a new kit to replace the Yamaha kit at Georgia State so I can make videos and play an awesome Pearl kit for the marching band and basketball band and I'll be getting a Session Studio Classic in Sheer Blue. It's a gorgeous color and a gorgeous kit. I could have gotten piano black but didn't :)
Glad to see you play Soundgarden! Also, please don't take this as criticism, most drummers use the 12" tom when using the one up/2 down configuration. I used to use this exact set up in my band before I left Pearl drums and Zildjian cymbals. But that 10" actually sounded great in there! Awesome job Cooper!
Thanks so much for the feature Casey! I can't even describe how grateful I am! What you are doing is really great. And oh yeah, insane drumming as usual hahaha
i will admit i wasnt feelin it in the beginning but as always U MADE ME FALL IN LOVE INTO YET ANOTHER SONG.... thx man cuz of u i listen to all kinds of genres :D
I think maybe you mean natural or original? And that's because I'm not a big fan over oversampled or manipulated sounds from the kit. I want people to think "oh man that kit sounds good" and then they can go and get that same sound out of their kit. I'm very impressed by how awesome the Pearl Export kit sounds, especially for the price, so I don't want to make it sound fake like when you put a lot of effects on them.
Incredible! Your toms sounded extra beefy today! Absolutely love it. And I love Soundgarden. I keep hoping you'll do some Adam Lambert.. please please lol
hey I really enjoyed your version of that cover, especially your own personal flare & Embellishments-they we're just enough to keep the essence of the song intact, while adding while you're own touch, great job! I was wondering if you have a version of your drum cover- but without the audible music playing in the background- AND just your beautiful drumwork alone?
*I ask because I LITERALLY just finished recording & mixing ALL of the instrumental tracks (2 bass tracks, 3 guitar tracks, 2 additional solo tracks- as well as three vocal tracks-all by myself... absolutely every other component to that song-Except- the drum track. I CAN play drums decently I guess, but definitely not my greatest strength-and you're sounded pretty amazing If you do have a drum only track, & are down to take part in an interestingcool online musical experiment- it could be amazing! All of the Rhythm guitar, bass, guitar solo, AND especially my vocal tracks are made with extremely high & professional quality. It would be fairly easy for me to combine your recorded drum track, right in with all of the other instrumental & vocal tracks I made, mix it, and it would sound absolutely LEATHAL! Just me know if this little online music experiment is something you be down to try and see what happens:) -Ares
bro i having been saving up for a new pearl export kit ever since you got one because i have a pdp which is good aside from the fact it is extremely beat up because my brother got it when he was 7 and he is 17 now and he gave it to me two years ago.
Oh yeah, here's an idea, Coop.. you know those sticks you shred? How about before they break, have a contest of some sort or a drawing of a name and send them a signed pair of your sticks.. That popped up when you were speaking of your splintering sticks. Just an idea. Hope you had a great holiday.
I want to buy one of these new A medium thin crash 20'', to use as my first crash cymbal,do you think that it will sustain for a looong time? (sorry for my english,i'm brazillian)
I love to cover grunge & alternative music myself. One song that I've been playing a lot recently is the song "Stars" by the band Hum off of their album "You'd Prefer An Astronaut". It's an awesome song & I was wondering if you could do a cover of it. By the way, your dad has a good taste in music.
aloha Casey, I like your covers especially this one. have you tried using different symbols alongside the different drum setup. I think you should try it because its good to have variety when your messing around whit the drums
hey casey,, what type of heads are you using? and would you say you tune your drums tight or loose? ive been looking for that sound for my toms in the beginning , and I cant find it!! ya know that kind of deep, dirty, slap ya in the face rock toms, whether I tune loose or tight or whichever drumhead I use it just seem to have a more higher soundi try to tune loose then they sound like and plastic trash can lid and has no rebound hardly which I know is normal but it just seems too loose, hell idk
Dude, you're an amazing drummer! I'm a long time subscriber, and got into drumming from watching you. I wanna request a song...Storytime by Nightwish. It would be awesome :D
I'd love to be the featured drummer! I really have put a lot of effort into my videos and get such little exposure; it would be so amazing if I could be the featured drummer for a video! My favorite video: watch?v=LgruCgXshFI Thanks and as always, you are such an inspiration!
Thanks Liam! It's my dad's all time favorite Soundgarden track!

Nicely done! Great cover of one of my favorite Soundgarden songs!
even back in the day you were shredding bro! also mad respect for playing this song its one of their more underrated songs imo and you nailed it!
Because it matches the e-Pro Live kit I wanted to get (and now have). I can combine the two and they look like the same kit.

Just too linear for me. Need to let the notes breathe more.

Setup suggestion: 10" and 13" toms as racktoms. And 16" floortom. and your snare and bassdrum. (my dream setup)
Great like always bro!
I'm not sure if you've already done these, but how about Hotel California, Hit The Road Jack, and/or Erase Me (by Ben folds)?

Hey Cooper I have a question. Why do you have a base when you have a rack with the tom mounts?
hey casey,, what type of heads are you using? and would you say you tune your drums tight or loose? ive been looking for that sound for my toms in the beginning , and I cant find it!! ya know that kind of deep, dirty, slap ya in the face rock toms, whether I tune loose or tight or whichever drumhead I use it just seem to have a more higher soundi try to tune loose then they sound like and plastic trash can lid and has no rebound hardly which I know is normal but it just seems too loose, hell idk

My favorite video: watch?v=LgruCgXshFI
Thanks and as always, you are such an inspiration!
Why did you add all of that unnecessary stuff? That whole "cover" was butchered. You've got skill but damn, serve the song, not your ego.
Noice

I will continue to try to be the featured drummer... i'm determined!
