It's a solid 8/10 game with some rpg nuance. I think the issue is that they didn't let us pick difficulty modes in the demo. Trials had hard mode, expert and no future.
My my take away from this demo is as a game it plays and controls really well, the world setting and graphic design are absolutely gorgeous, and the music is decent but what holds it back is just being yet another cliche JRPG story with dated and cliche JRPG/anime characters with the same old personality types we see over and over and over again in this genre. I love JRPGs but this is something I feel has become an issue over the past 5 years now where new JRPGs for the most part just feel to similar to each other and end up being kind of boring. Like don't get me wrong, I still some what enjoy the experience but there is nothing new or ground breaking in any JRPG I've played since the PS2. Some quality of life features here or there, but the story telling and character development have become stagnant and I would like to see all JRPG devs from all companies challenge their imaginations a bit more.
I was all ready to give Square 59.99 for this new Mana game, but then I played the Demo & now feel like waiting until it's half that or less. Sadly Trials of Mana took years until it dropped to half to pick up :(

What I dislike the most is the look of the hero

This is exactly how I felt, but you definitely explained in better!
mid tier music mid tier music is unforgivable in a Mana game.
@@Healthy_Tokicalm tf down wait for the full game to be release maybe the music will get better

keyseller---
What did you not like?
It looks dated, graphics should be on par with the new granblue relink imo but looks more like xenoblade 2.
1080p whyyyyyy give me 1440p with 32:9
Maybe don't get it if you can't get rid of your mobile game mindset. It could probably haunt you the whole time I feel.
If you're in my position, when would you buy this game?
Black friday
When it's $20.
The battle feels so bad, slow, clunky no combos or etc, trials of mana remake feels much better
the controls just don't feel right
Kecewa 😢
As soon as a went into the first battle i immediately uninstalled it. Combat is basically the same thing as Trails of Mana
@@MegaNecroX1 it's worse lol
this game looks out dated. Wuthering Waves much better.
