Beginners, here you find the best barre chords teacher; plus all the tips and tricks that would take ages to find out otherwise. Give yourself some time to understand what he is talking about if you feel lost, don't waste your time looking elsewhere. Trust him!
The only barre chord I couldn't master was the A shaped one because using 3 fingers while barring with the first was really hard. This method of barring the 3 strings with the second finger is a really good idea👍
Thanks for your clear tutoring. But I have a question. I cannot understand how to change from E major to A minor on 5th fret. As I understood it is B major to E minor transition. You describe this @9:15. Thanking you.
Hi James. The more I watch your videos, the greater respect I have for your teaching. It's so methodical and seems to suit my style of learning. I have one question: I know that if I put my capo on the 1st fret, I am playing in the key of Bb but how do I play what would have been a C in the open position and why (so that I may transpose other chords from the open position)? Hope you understand my question, James!!
First time i have understood an explanation about barres. Thanks from Aussie. If i could send you a couple of meat pies from here I will but I cant due to customs! Have a great day buddy!
I consider myself a good teacher of economics. (My students might not! :) ) You explain things well. There are songs I've avoided and will now have another shot at them.

Thank you so much! You're definitely the best guitar teacher on all of UA-cam!!! You are very gifted at explaining things!☺️
When I first took lessons, my instructor referred to some of those shapes and chords as inside chords.
Yes, they can go by that name. They are very useful to learn!
